2 Years On Steemit - Celebrating With A Splinterlands Giveaway!

Hi Everyone,

Yep I’ve been here for two years! I never knew I would last this long and I’m still here writing nearly every day. Not sure how I will celebrate this so I’ll just run through the stuff I’ve really enjoyed and have done over the last year on the platform. The celebration giveaway ….. I’ll reveal that later in the post.

The difference from the 1st year of being on Steemit and the 2nd is really how I share content with everyone. The first year was pretty much pure writing blogs and sharing photos via a post. That is a bit boring isn’t it? Then the last year, things have gotten a bit more interesting. There are all sorts of project popping up on the blockchain and I was very fortunate to be on some of them. These include in no particular order - @ocd, @tasteem, @sndbox, @fundition, JJM & AAA and @steemmonsters.

As you can see, the Steem blockchain is no longer just writing posts. You can participate in projects and even play games like Steem Monsters (Aka Splinterlands). If you don’t like writing or want a break from writing like me, make a video and post it on @dtube. Vlogging isn't your thing, play a game on the Steem Blockchain. Using Steemit each day is not just about writing, it’s fun in many ways and you don’t run out of ideas on what to do for the day.

Another highlight this year was being able to attend Steemfest at Krakow. It also turned into a 4 week family holiday in Europe which was hectic with the kids but also fun. I got to meet many people I interact via their posts and get to put a face to a name. It’s like I have known them for years! Can’t wait to go to Thailand and see everyone again.

Enough of my thoughts …. let's get to the giveaway.

I’ll be giving out 5 Steem Monsters beta booster packs to 5 lucky winners. It will be random and I will draw the winner names from a hat via a video which I will post up on Dtube.

Rules are simple:

Congratulations on making it to two years, I'm sure not many of the people who joined around the time are still year so props sticking it out, you're basically now one of the OG's on steemit. Lol I'll soon be joining the 2 year club in a few months and I regret nothing.

As for splinterlands I'm loving the new in-game currency it makes it so much more fluid not having to rely on the market to sell cards you can burn them and get your DEC and now we have SPT too. So many ways to earn and power up your account and get better, pretty sure there will be more updates to push this game even further than its 2million dollar market cap which in itself is a pretty crazy milestone for a game

From the very beginning, i always love card strategy game. i love to play Yu-Gi-Oh from the very first version too. hahah from my childood.

When i know steemmonsters, i directly jump into it, and WOW, we can get money from here. haha i will not lie, what i love from steemmonsters beside the gameplay and strategy is i can get some money from it :D

Congrats on 2 years on Steem! I love how this place has become so diverse. There’s so much to do and I never get bored here. I have to say that what I’m enjoying most recently is all the new SCOT projects that are getting birthed here. It’s fun learning about the new projects and getting involved in the various communities.

Congratulations @travelgirl on 2 Years........What I like BEST about Steemmonsters is That most of my Cards are ALPHA and they Get more and more RARE Everyday when New Players get in the Game and Level UP The Cards that they Purchase. I Feel that Steemmonsters will be one of the BEST Investments I have ever Made...............

Congrats on your 2yo mark on Steemit. It has been nice having you on board. And the effort you put to promote both Steem and Steemonsters.

I like the way how the SM team build the game from scratch and now becoming one of the biggest Dapp among it counterparts. Happy to be part of it too.

Congratulations!! You've done very good and hard job on Steem and Steem Monsters.

Playing SM is very relax and it's fun. Of course there are some challenges but not impossible and made me tired.

Now I like SM more than RPG games that I like previously.

Come on: What I like most about @steemmonsters is the value that your developers gave to it, in the sense that each card has a different value, a different difficulty to get it and to be worth money in the market. This brings many players to this game because it is a game that pays to play !!!

The things I like the most is the earning with fun. Yes you are playing the game and earning as well (yes you need to invest also).
The other is I meet some good people (steemmonsters community) after joining the @steemmonsters. They always support to new comers to the game.

Congrats on your two year. You certainly have seen some wild times on here during that period. You seem glad for sticking it out and that is a great thing. I am also about 5 months away from being here two years. It's amazing how long that time is it seems like I just got started. I wonder if you feel the same? Anyways congratulations keep this up and hopefully within the next few years we see a major spike in this kinds of posts. Coolest part of the game is the in-game economy and how dynamic it has become in such a short time and the upside it could reach is staggering. Cheers!
