I pulled mine a couple of days ago. The general direction of newsteem is, I think beneficial for the ecosystem; but its never fun being on the receiving end of those free downvotes :)
I think in time the simplicity of newsteem is actually going to help us a lot. Bidbots meant complexity, and that learning curve was a barrier for new entrants. Much simpler now.

good line... they should change the steem moto to that.
But that is also the main thing right?

  • big accounts determine quality
  • most people are not capable of writing quality, just mediocre shit like mine (as an example)
