Splinterlands art contest | Khmer Princess

Hola una vez mas querida comunidad, para esta semana he querido participar en el concurso de @Splinterlands con una carta que hace mucho tiempo guarde pero que no me había atrevido a hacer debido a los colores, esta vez elegí a Khmer Princess, un trabajo sumamente difícil para alguien como yo que normalmente busca refugio en tonos fríos, esta vez quise intentar con una paleta más fuerte. Para realizar este dibujo me guie un poco leyendo la Lore de esta carta y guiándome con la imagen de referencia, intentando descifrar de qué manera podría representarla y pintar algunas cosas que en la carta quizás no tiene tantos detalles por la luz que maneja, me enfoque en hacer muchas cosas de fuego ya que es la magia principal de los Khmer, pintar la ropa y el cabello fue un trabajo complicado, no estaba segura que tonos utilizar, decidí elegir colores tierra, el cabello pensé en hacerlo rojo o rubio, pero finalmente opte por un marrón claro, no quería hacer el dibujo completamente amarillo asi que solo improvise algunas cosas y cambie un poco el vestuario haciéndolo mas a mi gusto, espero que les guste.

Hello once again dear community, for this week I wanted to participate in the @Splinterlands contest with a card that I saved a long time ago but that I had not dared to do due to the colors, this time I chose Khmer Princess, an extremely difficult challenge for someone like me who usually seeks refuge in cold tones, this time I wanted to try a stronger palette.
To make this drawing I was guided a little by reading the Lore of this card and guiding myself with the reference image, trying to figure out how I could represent it and paint some things that in the card perhaps do not have so many details due to the light that it handles, I focused in doing a lot of fire things since it is the main magic of the Khmer, painting the clothes and the hair was a complicated job, I was not sure what tones to use, I decided to choose earth colors, for hair I thought about making it red or blonde, but finally I opted for a light brown, I didn't want to make the drawing completely yellow so I just improvised some things and changed the wardrobe a bit, making it more to my liking, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto guiándome de diferentes imágenes de referencia con poses algo mas dinámicas de lo usual, fue muy difícil poder encontrar el sentido de la idea que tenia pero poco a poco fui construyendo todo, luego comencé a pintar eligiendo tonos cálidos para su piel pero sin llegar a tonos amarillos, era mas bien un tono piel rosa saturado, rosas pálidos y marrones, coloque los tonos de base en cada parte del dibujo y luego comencé a agregar mas tonos en una nueva capa y a difuminar, comencé con el rostro, luego los brazos y luego el resto de piel.

I made my sketch guiding myself from different reference images with somewhat more dynamic poses than usual, it was very difficult to find the meaning of the idea I had but little by little I was building everything, then I began to paint choosing warm tones for her skin but without getting to yellow tones, it was more of a saturated pink skin tone, pale pinks and browns, I placed the base tones in each part of the drawing and then I started adding more tones in a new layer and blending, I started with the face, then the arms and then the rest of the skin.

Pinte el cabello con marrón claro y luego comencé a colocar colores en la ropa, como les mencioné estaba bastante indecisa sobre la ropa y los colores que utilizar, asi que comencé con tonos marrones y luego se me fueron ocurriendo mas ideas, pense que la falta se vería muy bonita con diferentes tonalidades naranja y amarillo asi que cree un degradado rustico en la falda, pinte el resto de ropa y accesorios la mayoría usando marrón y dorado.

I painted the hair with light brown and then I started to put colors on the clothes, as I mentioned I was quite undecided about the clothes and the colors to use, so I started with brown tones and then I came up with more ideas, I thought that the skirt It would look very pretty with different shades of orange and yellow so I created a rustic gradient on the skirt, painted the rest of the clothes and accessories mostly using brown and gold.

Añadí algunos reflejos de luz y sombra en el cabello para darle mas realismo, usé un amarillo claro para las uñas, dorado para las pulseras, agregue mas brillos en algunas partes de los accesorios y ojos, con blanco y amarillo pinte el poder en las manos.

I added some reflections of light and shadow in the hair to give it more realism, I used a light yellow for the nails, gold for the bracelets, I added more lights in some parts of the accessories and eyes, with white and yellow I painted the power on the hands.

Como les comenté quería enfocarme en el fuego así que agregue algunas llamas cubriendo su falda y llamas sobre el poder de las manos, apliqué un fondo negro para ver un poco mejor como estaba quedando todo, luego agregue un fondo parecido a una especie de cueva.

As I told you I wanted to focus on the fire so I added some flames covering her skirt and flames on the power of the hands, I applied a black background to see a little better how everything was turning out, then I added a background similar to a kind of cave.

Finalmente oscurecí un poco el dibujo ya que se veía demasiado brillante para el fondo que tenía y comencé a agregar mas luz en el fuego y algunos reflejos de luz en las esquinas de la silueta.

Finally I darkened the drawing a bit since it looked too bright for the background I had and I started to add more light in the fire and some light reflections in the corners of the silhouette.
