Saludos! Bienvenidos a una nueva semana y un nuevo post en el cual quiero compartir mi entrada al concurso de @Splinterlands esta vez elegí una carta que me parece bastante llamativa con la combinación de colores tan hermosos que tiene, me atreví a hacer este carta a mi estilo, quise mantener esa expresión imponente y poderosa de Obsidian, me parece que es bastante elegante y hermosa, esta vez mi representación es en un semi retrato, usando su bastón como fondo para que estuviese presente de alguna forma, hacerlo de fondo me pareció que le daba un toque aun mas mágico, intente realizar muchos brillos ya que me encanta resaltar mucho el rostro y mantener en lo posible el parecido entre mi fan art y la carta. Greetings! Welcome to a new week and a new post in which I want to share my entry to @Splinterlands art contest, this time I chose a card that I find quite striking and with beautiful color combination, I dared to make this card in my own style, I wanted to keep that imposing and powerful expression of Obsidian, I think it is quite elegant and beautiful, this time my representation is in a semi-portrait, using her cane as a background so that he was present in some way, doing it in the background gave an even more magical touch, I tried to make a lot of shine since I love to highlight the face a lot and keep as much as possible the resemblance between my fan art and the card.

Proceso/Process

Realice un boceto donde colocaría a Obsidian en una pose de semi retrato, comencé a añadir los detalles similares a la carta original, elegí la paleta de colores para la piel de un tono piel oscuro y fue algo complicado para mi ya que no suelo trabajar con estas tonalidades, pero poco a poco fui construyendo la hermosa piel de Obsidian, pinte con tonos base la ropa y el cabello, para luego continuar dando detalles al rostro, agregando mas tonos para darle forma.

I made a sketch where I would place Obsidian in a semi-portrait pose, I began to add the details similar to the original card, I chose the color palette for the skin of a dark skin tone and it was somewhat complicated for me since I do not usually work with these tones, but little by little I was building the beautiful Obsidian skin, I painted the clothes and hair with base tones, and then continued giving details to the face, adding more tones to give it shape.

Después de suavizar la piel y conseguir la textura que buscaba, comencé a añadir pequeños reflejos de luz verde rebotando en el rostro, pinte la ropa y los pliegues usando tonos oscuros y claros, luego pinte el cabello con morado mas claro, creando el peinado similar a la carta original, también añadí mas tonos verdes en los bordes del cabello, continue pintando parte de la armadura que lleva en el hombro y luego comencé a pintar algunos puntos verdes de fondo para luego crear la silueta del bastón detrás de ella, con tonos azules comencé a rellenar el bastón, creando esta textura que parece un montón de piedras juntas creando esta forma de media luna, pinte la corona dándole un tono verde claro.

After smoothing out the skin and getting the texture I was looking for, I started adding small reflections of green light bouncing off the face, painted the clothing and folds using dark and light tones, then painted the hair a lighter purple, creating the similar hairstyle to the original card, I also added more green tones on the edges of the hair, I continued painting part of the armor that she wears on her shoulder and then I started to paint some green dots in the background to then create the silhouette of the cane behind her, with blues tones I started to fill in the cane, creating this texture that looks like a bunch of stones together creating this crescent shape, I painted the crown giving it a light green tone.

Comencé a aplicar algunas sombras y pequeños puntos de luz donde quería resaltar mas el dibujo, finalmente aplique un leve ajuste de saturación y exposición y ya estaba terminado.

I started applying some shadows and small points of light where I wanted the drawing to stand out more, finally I applied a slight adjustment of saturation and exposure and I was finished.

This the first time im seeing your art. Its crazy to think of Obsidian this way. I posted it to the new threads site here in hopes of getting more eyes on it and more votes.

I'd encourage to drop your art into threads when you make your posts, you'll earn more hive, some leo and even some gosh tokens.
