Splinterlands Art Conteest - Week 279 - Pirate of Eight

Good day everyone. Today is another day I'm here to share my Splinterlands Art Contest with you all. This one was more of a test/exercise shot at drawing Pirate of Eight, so without any further ado, let's take a look at its process:

The Process

At first I started with a rough base. The face wasn't at all what I had in min or what I thought to be "pretty" in my dictionary, but I knew that if I kept at it and managed to change it at some point in the process, it was gonna turn out pretty decent.

Too Dark

It was this step that ignited the thought that maybe her face was too "long" and could use brighter colors so her face would be more visible. So I recolored it a few steps down the process and changed her jawline to make it more feminine.

Changes

This is where the changes that I mentioned were applied to her and suddenly she started feeling more like a complete piece.

New Resolution

Now with a new idea of how I wanted to make her look in the end, I had a new motivation to add my own last few twists to the painting...

The Result

And this is how she ended up looking like. Tell me what you think and let me know what I could have done better. Eager to read your thoughts on this...
cheers~
