Splinterlands Art Contest - Week 262 - River Nymph

Hey, there people. Today, we got another entry for the Splinterlands art contest; It's the River Nymph! (Well, as if you couldn't already tell from the thumbnail πŸ˜…)

The Process

This time around I tried focusing more on the details. While there was still a ton of details I had to keep in mind about adding glows and shadows, I tried giving her more details and particles.

I also added some different shapes for the background and I believe they looked well and resonated properly with things like "waves" and "water", so I kept them in and now that I think think about it, it sorta resembles River Nymph's hairstyle too, so that's goood :D

It was also the first time that I really paid close attention to colored glows and how they worked and went together with other colors. (As you can see on the side of her skin and edges of her hair which I think turned out fine and I'm actually considering using it more in the future)

Almost There

I ended up with what you can see below, but I kinda felt like something was missing - like some sort of depth in the painting. So...

The Result

In the end, I added some shadows around her to kinda mimic the deep sea vibe, and shift the focus and emphasis to her and her glow.

Your render is much better than the original card art.

Whenever you describe a process on how you did a thing yourself and in the process telling someone, "You can 'Do It Yourself' with the how to steps I have given you," you can use the #diy tag for all those posts.

Using the #diy tag entitles you to earn $BUIDL tokens in addition to $HIVE.

Power-up (stake) your BUIDL tokens regularly. They will be worth a lot in the future. I have powered-up more than 7 billion BUIDL tokens.

Consider also joining the 100K List Power Club since you are using the Hivelist tags (i.e. the #contest tag) regularly.
