Splinterlands Art Contest - Week 280 - Uloth Dhampir

Good morning, everyone (or another, if you're from other time zones). We're upon another weekend which means I've got my entry ready for another Splinterlands Art Contest. I chose Uloth Dhampir as my subject for drawing this week. I took a different approach to the art this time around, even tho it doesn't look much different compared to the other weeks' entries. (the pic looks like me in my ID card photo - the death stare is there)

The Process

Multilayered Color

I usually start off by flat-coloring the drawing, then proceed to add shadows and glows. This time, I took a little liberty and added some different hues of brown as different shades. This was a jump in the process (as adding glows and shadows is the next step in my usual drawing procedure) and doing it nonchalantly with no preparation could add extra unnecessary process to the drawing, so I advise on keeping the glows and shades (or even different colors entirely) on different layers so that the process becomes more reversible.

The Result

And in the end, I added the blood splatter effect that we all know and love and this is how Uloth turned out to look. Hope you enjoyed this week's entry... Cheers~~
