Splinterlands Art Contest - Week 284 - Water Caller

Good day, folk. It's another Thursday night which means another Splinterlands Art Contest submission for me. For this week's contest, I took a trip down memory lane and drew one of the older cards from Splinterland's many legacy cards - Water Caller.

I have drawn her before once, but I believe it was quite some time ago and my skills have improved considerably since - if I say so myself. That's why I made a mini-challenge to test my abilities on the same character. It wouldn't be a 1-to-1 comparison since the styles differ so much, but I liked the idea of returning back to a previously drawn character.

The Magic Lines

I did re-use some elements from my other works, and one of the most prominent ones is the magic lines around her as if she's trying to gather her magical power to cast some kind of spell. The other time I used this technique was in #Holozing's Trait Contest and with the Ocean Healer.

Feather and Metal

Having drawn so many angels and their feathers as well as holy and divine characters with their metal equipment through the contests lately, I think I've developed some fair understanding of how to draw and feather and metal in my pieces and I have the contests on Hive to thank for that.

I could make the list go on for a couple of times more than it is right now, but I won't bore you with the intricate details. Instead, here's the process for this piece... I hope you do enjoy it... cheers~
