Hello! The other day looking at my YouTube feed of the channels to which I am subscribed, I came across an interesting video; Summarizing what the video was about, someone was talking about the amount of SPS you can get by entering the official splinterlands tournaments; that almost nobody enters the tournaments, that you can recover what you spent to enter (usually), that you can make more than $ 100 per season etc etc etc. All good and nice, nothing he said was a lie, but the person didn't mention a tiny and insignificant detail... to join such tournaments you need to have relatively large amounts of staked SPS, which not everyone has.

El otro día viendo mi feed en Youtube de los canales a los que estoy suscrito, me topé con un vídeo interesante; resumiendo de que trataba el vídeo, hablaba sobre la cantidad de SPS que puedes obtener entrando a los torneos oficiales de splinterlands; que si casi nadie entra a los torneos, que si puedes recuperar lo que gastaste para entrar, que si puedes hacer más de 100$ por temporada etc etc etc. Todo bien y bonito, nada de lo que decía era mentira, pero la persona no mencionó un detalle minúsculo e insignificante... para unirte a tales torneos necesitas tener cantidades relativamente grandes de SPS en stake, cosa que no todo el mundo tiene.

Putting aside my opinions as to why refraining from mentioning such information is wrong, I started reviewing the staked SPS amounts needed to enter tournaments and was surprised that there are several tiers, so I decided to make a list of SPS stake tiers out there regarding tournaments. However it ended up taking me longer than necessary to collect the information as I had to go into each tournament individually and type data of my research manually (since you cannot select words on the splinterlands tournaments page to copy and paste). And to top it off, there were a LOT of tournaments. Because the list was a bit long, I decided to leave it in a separate post, probably tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I'll upload it.

Dejando de lado mis opiniones sobre el por qué evitar mencionar tal información está mal, me puse a revisar los montos de SPS en stake necesarios para entrar a los torneos y me llevé la sorpresa de que hay varias "tiers", así que decidí hacer una lista de las tiers de stake de SPS que hay con respecto a los torneos. Sin embargo me terminó llevando más tiempo de lo necesario recabar la información pues tenía que meterme en cada torneo individualmente y escribir los datos manualmente (ya que no puedes seleccionar palabras en la página de torneos de splinterlands para hacer copia y pega). Y para rematar, eran un MONTÓN de torneos. Debido a que la lista era algo larga, decidí dejarla en un post a parte, probablemente mañana o pasado mañana la suba.

Anyway, this post was delayed more than expected due to the aforementioned investigation, but on top of that the page I use to make the gifs was under maintenance, so I had to wait until the next day to finish it. Better late than never xD.

In other news, I came in second place in a tournament! Interestingly this tournament had almost the same rules as the last tournament which I won a couple of weeks ago. In this case the rules were bronze league, no legendary cards, reward editions and chaos legion. In general, I have noticed that if the tournament is in the bronze league, without alpha, beta, untamed or dice cards, and even without legendary, it goes quite well for me.

En otras noticias, quedé en segundo lugar en un torneo! Curiosamente este torneo tenía casi las mismas reglas que el último torneo que gané hace un par de semanas atrás. En este caso las reglas eran, liga de bronce, sin cartas legendarias, ediciones reward y chaos legion. En general he notado que si el torneo es en liga de bronce, sin cartas alfas, betas, untamed o dice, e incluso sin legendarias, me va bastante bien.

8,059,333 chaos legion packs have been sold, but only 4,129,000 have been opened. 8,001,934/4,040,000 were the values from 6 days ago, that gives us an average of 9,566 packages purchased and 14,833 packages opened each day. 6 days ago the values were 20,770/19,000. There has been a noticeable decrease in purchasing packs as well as opening them in the last 6 days.

Ruleset: Silenced summoners, little league.

Little league, I'm going to use the water splinter to play double heal, and since silenced summoners is also active, I'm going to use Bortus instead of Kelya since it costs 3 mana. Xenith monk will go to the front since he has healing. In the second position I will place Angelic mandarin since if Xenith monk dies, I will need a monster with a lot of HP that can take good advantage of the monster's healing in the third position: Merdaali guardian. In the fourth position it will go Doctor Blight, I don't want to put it at the back because I want it to act as a meat shield for my sneak monsters in an emergency: Uraeus and Pelacor bandit.

Little league, usaré al splinter de agua para jugar con doble curación, y ya que silenced summoners también está activo, usaré a Bortus en lugar de Kelya ya que cuesta 3 de mana. Al frente irá Xenith monk ya que tiene curación. En la segunda posición colocaré a Angelic mandarin ya que si Xenith monk muere, necesitaré a un monstruo con mcuho HP que pueda aprovechar bien la curación del monstruo en la tercera posición: Merdaali guardian. En la Cuarto posición irá Doctor Blight, no lo quiero poner al final por que quiero que en caso de emergencia funja como escudo de carne para mis monstruos con sneak: Uraeus y Pelacor bandit.

Result of the battle #1: Win. My opponent played a level 1 Xenith monk, so he had no heal, on the other hand my double sneak was able to take down his Uraeus before it could even attack me.

Ruleset: Healed out, little league.

Allowed splinters: Fire, water, earth, life, death.

When little league is active, it's usually best to use Queen mycelia, also between Mylor and obsidian the one who has the advantage is usually Obsidian so it will be my choice this time. In the first position I will place failed summoner, his magical reflection will be very useful if my opponent uses magic, and if not he will serve as a tank. As a secondary tank will be Hill giant, he has a good balance of HP and melee attack. In the third position will be the most important monster in the composition: Queen mycelia, who will grant shield to all my monsters. En la tercera posición estará el monstruo más importante de la composición: Queen mycelia, quien otorgará escudo a todos mis monstruos. En la 4ta posición estará Thief goblin, será un escudo contra los sneaks del enemigo junto con Queen mycelia. Al fondo irán Doctor blight y Djinn biljka, ya que tienen camuflaje y si mi oponente no usa a Thaddius harán un daño tremendo.

Result of the battle #2: Win. My opponent used Mylor, in my experience using Mylor against Obsidian has the disadvantage that if you don't use a monster with Void + Mushroom seer you expose a lot to being harmed by magic, as happened here.

Since Armored up is active, my opponent will most likely use magic, so this is a great opportunity to use reflect magic, I'll play Owster. At the front will be 0 mana monsters like the Fiend and Furious Chicken, as well as Shadowy pressence since it has a lot of HP. Behind Shadowy will be The gorlodon, since Shadowy pressence will most likely be in first position before it is The gorlodon's turn to attack (due to the low speed it has). Debido a que Armored up está activo, es muy probable que mi oponente use magia, así que ésta es una gran oportunidad que usar reflejo mágico, jugaré con Owster. Al frente irán monstruos de 0 de mana como el Fiend y Furious Chicken, al igual que Shadowy pressence ya que tiene mucho HP. Detrás de Shadowy estará The gorlodon, ya que seguramente Shadowy pressence pase a estar en la primera posición antes de que sea el turno de atacar de The gorlodon (debido a la baja velocidad que tiene). En la línea trasera estarán Whistling damon y Halfling alchemist, The gorlodon debería poder aguantar lo suficiente hasta que Whistling damon derribe algún monstruo enemigo y se haga más fuerte.

Result of the battle #3: Win. The strategy was successful, my opponent played with magic. I had forgotten that Damon has snipe, that ability was useful this time.

Earthquake? The summoner's choice is obvious, I'll be using Bloom. For this game I came up with an interesting combo: double Slow + Chance. For this I will place Baakjira as a tank, since it has Slow, in the second position I will place Fiend in case my opponent has a monster with Chance and in the third to Creeping ooze who like Baakjira has Slow. In the fourth position, right in the center and relatively well protected, will be Merdaali guardian, who will increase the lifespan of Baakjira. While Baakjira tanks, Isgald will be in 5th position, boosting his stats with Bloodlust. In the last position will be Halfling alchemist, refilling as usual.

Terremoto? La elección del invocador es obvia, usaré a Bloom. Para esta partida se me ocurrió un combo interesante: doble Slow + Oportunidad. Para ello colocaré como tanque a Baakjira, ya que tiene Slow, en la segunda posición colocaré a Fiend por si mi oponente tiene a algún monstruo con Oportunidad y en la tercera a Creeping ooze quien al igual que Baakjira tiene Slow. En la cuarta posición, justo en el centro y bien relativamente bien protegida estará Merdaali guardian, quien aumentará el tiempo de vida de Baakjira. Mientras Baakjira tanquea, Isgald estará en la quinta posición, aumentando sus estadísticas con Bloodlust. En la última posición estará Halfling alchemist, rellenando como es usual.

I decided to focus on damage in this battle, so I played Kelya using Oshannus, Edith, and Axemaster. In front I placed Baakjira as it seemed likely that my opponent would play a similar strategy. Accompanying Baakjira as a secondary tank will be Flying squid, as he has Reach.

En esta batalla decidí concentrarme en el daño, así que jugué con Kelya usando a Oshannus, Edith y Axemaster. Both equalizer and little league are rulesets where I like to play Obsidian, I usually go for healing + Queen mycelia, so I'll play Obsidian. At the helm will be silenced summoner, along with Fiend and Furious chicken. In the background, to protect Queen mycelia and Khmer princess I will put Creeping ooze.

Tanto equalizer como little league son rulesets donde me gusta jugar con Obsidian, suelo optar por curación + Queen mycelia, así que jugaré con Obsidian. Al frente estará silenced summoner, junto con Fiend y Furious chicken. Al fondo, para proteger a Queen mycelia y a Khmer princess pondré a Creeping ooze.

Result of the battle #6: Loss. The truth is that many times when I play with earth, I have a habit of not checking if the death splinter is active, those kinds of details can lead us to these situations where Thaddius debuffs our magic. On top of that my opponent maxed out his damage per turn and his HP gain per turn, it really is a great strategy.

Resultado de la batalla #6: Derrota. La verdad muchas veces cuando juego con tierra, tengo la manía de no revisar si el splinter de muerte está activo, ese tipo de detalles nos pueden llevar a estas situaciones donde Thaddius debuffea nuestra magia. Encima mi oponente maximizó su daño por turno y su ganancia de HP por turno, realmente es una gran estrategia.

I finished in 3rd place in this brawl, not bad. 4 wins, 2 losses, 1 opponent fled.

Terminé en 3er lugar en esta brawl, nada mal. 4 Victorias, 2 derrotas, 1 oponente huyó.

Regarding the guild, we got the 3rd place! That is... pretty nice!

En cuanto al gremio, obtuvimos el tercer lugar! Eso es..bastante genial! A por el primer lugar!
