My strategic purchases give me results in Splinterlands
Holi holi Animek once again with the excitement of leveling up a bit more in my game. I gotta say it hasn’t been easy—the game was new to me, I started from zero. I found a lot of stuff outside the tutorial, so learning every detail made the difference to actually improve.

Different fights taught me better not to place melee cards in spots where they can’t attack. I memorized which ones they are—not all, but from the starter collection I’ve got a pretty clear idea. I’ve seen there are more collections, but for now I don’t know much about them. I’ll need to get a book to participate, but for now I can’t buy it, so I’ll have to save up.

My chests have improved a lot, even giving me some gold ones. Of course, they’re from elements I barely play. I say barely because I didn’t use them before, but as I climbed leagues I found another mechanic: fights with rules. There are many with different requirements, forcing me to play with elements I didn’t use. Since they’re all level 1, sometimes I lose, other times I barely win.
The different cards I bought these days helped me face players with level 2–3 cards. Their advantage over me got reduced. Many times I lost by just 1 health point my cards didn’t have, which made me lose by a tiny margin.

I also took advantage of a blog payment I received, so I added it to savings to give more strength to my Hive account.

Something surprising happened while upgrading my cards to level 2—my league rank went up a bit more. I guess it was thanks to the energy I got from so many reward boxes, which let me play a lot. That’s how I managed to do tons of matches in one day.
As I climb, I notice stronger restrictions in fight rules. Obviously, rivals are tougher. Before I faced people with level 2 cards, now I see level 5 ones—it’s crazy. Sometimes I lose with my level 1 deck against level 5 elements because I’m forced to use stuff I haven’t upgraded. It gets harder, but strategy has let me win some matches by miracle in those scenarios.
