¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes una estrategia interesante que he estado usando con el Splinter de Vida en partidas con la regla de batalla: “Odd Ones Out” y un límite de maná medio. Hago énfasis en esos aspectos del conjunto de reglas porque son los que me condujeron a la elaboración de la estrategia.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo usé al Splinter de Vida, el invocador Grandmaster Rathe, los monstruos Blinding Reflector, Adelade Brightwing y Lone Boatman para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Blinding Reflector es un monstruo común del Splinter de Vida que en su nivel 5 cuenta con estadísticas medias y posee la habilidad “Magic Reflect”. La cual permite retornar una porción del daño mágico recibido, cabe destacar que el daño retornado será igual al daño recibido dividido entre 2 y redondeado por exceso.

Adelade Brightwing es un monstruo legendario del Splinter de Vida que en su nivel 2 cuenta con estadísticas medias y posee las habilidades: “Flying”, “Repair” y “Resurrect”. Las cuales le otorga la capacidad de evadir ataques de tipo melee o ranged con un 25 % de probabilidad, reparar una porción del escudo del equipo en cada turno y revivir a un monstruo.

Lone Boatman es un monstruo común del Splinter de Vida que en su nivel 5 cuenta con estadísticas medias y las habilidades: “Snipe” y “Repair”. Las cuales le permite atacar primero a los monstruos enemigos de tipo mágico o ranged en las primeras posiciones de la segunda línea enemiga y reparar una porción del escudo del equipo en cada turno.

Entonces, conociendo estos aspectos, podemos observar con más claridad cómo la combinación de estas cartas pueden darnos una ventaja en la batalla, ya que nuestro tanque contará con un soporte para resistir el daño melee y ranged, así como para debilitar a los monstruos enemigos con daño mágico. También es importante mencionar que el potencial de esta estrategia incrementa aún más, cuando usamos a Grandmaster Rathe como invocador, ya que nuestro tanque resistirá un poco más gracias a la habilidad “Void Armor” y el daño mágico retornado se incrementará en 1 punto gracias a la habilidad “Amplify”.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 23 puntos, con esta cantidad podemos elegir invocadores legendarios con un costo de maná entre 4 - 7 puntos pero con una estrategia bien definida, ya que la elección de los monstruos con el maná restante debe ser precisa.

La regla Odd Ones Out sólo permite usar monstruos con un costo de maná impar en la batalla. Por otra parte, la regla Fog of War, elimina las habilidades: “Sneak”, “Snipe” y “Opportunity” de todos los monstruos en la batalla.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí utilizar al Splinter de Vida, ya que cuenta con monstruos que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño mágico y ranged. Asimismo, cuenta con habilidades como: “Magic Reflect”, “Void”, “Flying”, “Repair”, “Resurrect”, “Snipe”, entre otras y con un invocador que incrementa en 1 punto la armadura de nuestro equipo y les otorga las habilidades: “Void Armor” y “Amplify”.

Hablemos sobre el equipo, y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias de la batalla, era evidente el uso de cualquier tipo de daño. Es por ello que decidí usar al invocador Grandmaster Rathe, ya que incrementa en 1 punto la armadura de nuestro equipo y les otorga las habilidades: “Void Armor” y “Amplify”.

Blinding Reflector fue el tanque en esta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con estadísticas medias y la habilidad “Magic Reflect”. La cual permite retornar una porción del daño mágico recibido. Lo interesante es que gracias a las habilidades: “Void Armor” y “Amplify” otorgadas por el invocador, podrá resistir mejor y retornar más daño.

Gargoya Scrapper ocupó la segunda posición para proteger al resto del equipo en caso de que el tanque muera o de posibles ataques enemigos mediante la habilidad “Blast”. De esta manera, da un poco más de tiempo para debilitar al enemigo en esa circunstancia.

Adelade Brightwing ocupó la tercera posición, ya que cuenta con estadísticas medias y las habilidades: “Flying”, “Repair” y “Resurrect”. Su propósito es contribuir con su daño desde la segunda línea y dar soporte más que todo a Blinding Reflector mediante las habilidades: “Repair” y “Resurrect” para que pueda resistir mucho más el daño enemigo.

Lone Boatman ocupó la última posición con la finalidad de contribuir con su daño desde la segunda línea y dar soporte más que todo a Blinding Reflector mediante su habilidad “Repair” con el mismo objetivo explicado anteriormente para Adelade Brightwing.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, usar a Grandmaster Rathe como invocador en conjunto con los monstruos: Blinding Reflector, Adelade Brightwing y Lone Boatman, fue una buena opción. También es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 5 de la ronda 5, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Blinding Reflector defendió bastante bien la primera posición gracias al soporte de Adelade Brightwing y Lone Boatman mediante las habilidades: “Repair” y “Resurrect”. Así mismo, la contribución del daño por parte del Adelade Brightwing y Lone Boatman ayudó mucho para debilitar al enemigo. Es importante resaltar que el soporte brindado por el invocador Grandmaster Rathe, fue clave para que el tanque resistiera lo suficiente y se aprovechara mejor la ventaja por el daño mágico retornado.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es una ofensiva enemiga basada en un elevado daño melee y ranged, y que incluya habilidades como: “Thorns”, “Shatter”, “Poison”, “Return Fire”, entre otras.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que el daño de la ofensiva enemiga no fue suficiente para abatir a mi tanque, y el soporte con el que contaba el tanque enemigo tampoco fue suficiente para resistir mi daño, por lo que una vez abatido, la estrategia enemiga fue debilitada completamente.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

Greetings community! In this week's challenge I want to share with you an interesting strategy I have been using with the Life Splinter in games with the battle rule: "Odd Ones Out" and a medium mana limit. I emphasize those aspects of the rule set because they are the ones that led me to the development of the strategy.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver league ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing my analysis on explaining how I used the Splinter of Life, the summoner Grandmaster Rathe, the monsters Blinding Reflector, Adelade Brightwing and Lone Boatman to be consistent with the battle rules present and the abilities I wanted to combine in order to take advantage in the game.

As these aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Blinding Reflector is a common Splinter of Life monster that at level 5 has medium stats and has the ability "Magic Reflect". It allows to return a portion of the magic damage received, it is worth mentioning that the damage returned will be equal to the damage received divided by 2 and rounded up.

Adelade Brightwing is a legendary monster of the Splinter of Life that at level 2 has medium stats and possesses the abilities: "Flying", "Repair" and "Resurrect". These give him the ability to evade melee or ranged attacks with a 25% chance, repair a portion of the team's shield each turn and revive a monster.

Lone Boatman is a common Life Splinter monster that at level 5 has medium stats and the abilities: "Snipe" and "Repair". These allow him to attack first the enemy monsters of magical or ranged type in the first positions of the second enemy line and repair a portion of the team's shield each turn.

So, knowing these aspects, we can see more clearly how the combination of these cards can give us an advantage in battle, since our tank will have a support to resist melee and ranged damage, as well as to weaken enemy monsters with magic damage. It is also important to mention that the potential of this strategy increases even more when we use Grandmaster Rathe as a summoner, since our tank will resist a little more thanks to the "Void Armor" ability and the magic damage returned will increase by 1 point thanks to the "Amplify" ability.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

Mana limit equal to 23 points, with this amount we can choose legendary summoners with a mana cost between 4 - 7 points but with a well defined strategy, since the choice of monsters with the remaining mana must be precise.

The Odd Ones Out rule only allows using monsters with an odd mana cost in battle. On the other hand, the Fog of War rule, removes the abilities: "Sneak", "Snipe" and "Opportunity" from all monsters in battle.

So, taking into account all these aspects, I decided to use the Life Splinter, since it has monsters with good stats, including good magic damage and ranged. It also has abilities such as: "Magic Reflect", "Void", "Flying", "Repair", "Resurrect", "Snipe", among others, and a summoner that increases our team's armor by 1 point and gives them the abilities: "Void Armor" and "Amplify".

Let's talk about the equipment, and the strategy it conforms. Given the circumstances of the battle, it was evident the use of any kind of damage. That's why I decided to use the summoner Grandmaster Rathe, since he increases our team's armor by 1 point and gives them the abilities: "Void Armor" and "Amplify".

Blinding Reflector was the tank in this opportunity, since it has medium stats and the ability "Magic Reflect". It allows to return a portion of the magic damage received. The interesting thing is that thanks to the "Void Armor" and "Amplify" abilities granted by the summoner, it will be able to resist better and return more damage.

Gargoya Scrapper took the second position to protect the rest of the team in case the tank dies or from possible enemy attacks with the "Blast" ability. In this way, it gives a little more time to weaken the enemy in that circumstance.

Adelade Brightwing occupied the third position, as it has medium stats and the abilities: "Flying", "Repair" and "Resurrect". Its purpose is to contribute with its damage from the second line and to support Blinding Reflector by means of the skills: "Repair" and "Resurrect" so that it can resist enemy damage much more.

Lone Boatman occupied the last position with the purpose of contributing with his damage from the second line and giving support mostly to Blinding Reflector through his ability "Repair" with the same objective explained above for Adelade Brightwing.

As I mentioned before, using Grandmaster Rathe as a summoner together with the monsters: Blinding Reflector, Adelade Brightwing and Lone Boatman, was a good choice. It is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Notice how by turn 5 of round 5, the enemy team was almost down. Blinding Reflector defended the first position quite well thanks to the support of Adelade Brightwing and Lone Boatman through the skills: "Repair" and "Resurrect". Likewise, the contribution of damage from Adelade Brightwing and Lone Boatman helped a lot to weaken the enemy. It is important to highlight that the support provided by the summoner Grandmaster Rathe was key for the tank to resist sufficiently and to take better advantage of the returned magic damage.

The strategy proposed made an efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, a good offensive, and coherence with the present set of rules.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy offensive based on high melee and ranged damage, and including abilities such as: "Thorns", "Shatter", "Poison", "Return Fire", among others.

The difference between the strategies was that the damage of the enemy offensive was not enough to take down my tank, and the support that the enemy tank had was not enough to resist my damage either, so once it was down, the enemy strategy was completely weakened.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we must not only focus on the statistics and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
