¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes una estrategia interesante que he estado usando combinando los Splinters Dragón y Muerte en partidas con las reglas de batalla: “Keep Your Distance”, “Target Practice” y un límite de maná medio. Hago énfasis en esos aspectos del conjunto de reglas porque son los que me condujeron a la elaboración de la estrategia.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo usé al invocador Byzantine Kitty, los monstruos Usut, Venari Marksrat y varios de bajo maná para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 25 puntos con esta cantidad podemos elegir invocadores legendarios con un costo de maná entre 4 - 7 puntos pero con una estrategia bien definida, ya que la elección de los monstruos con el maná restante debe ser precisa.

Keep Your Distance es una regla que sólo permite utilizar monstruos con un tipo de daño mágico, de rango o sin ataque en la batalla. Los monstruos con 2 tipos de ataque que incluyan daño físico, no podrán ser utilizados. Por otra parte, la regla Target Practice otorga la habilidad “Snipe” a todos los monstruos de tipo rango y mágico en la batalla, la habilidad “Snipe” tiene como objetivo los monstruos sin ataque, mágicos y de rango en la segunda fila enemiga.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí combinar a los Splinters Dragón y Muerte, ya que cuentan con monstruos que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño mágico y ranged. Asimismo, cuentan con habilidades como: “Flying”, “Bloodlust”, “Martyr”, “Dodge”, “Scavenger”, entre otras y con un invocador que incrementa en 2 puntos la velocidad del equipo, les otorga la habilidad “True Strike” y da soporte al tanque mediante su habilidad “Tank Heal”.

Hablemos sobre el equipo, y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias de la batalla, era evidente el uso del daño mágico y ranged. Es por ello que decidí utilizar al invocador Byzantine Kitty, ya que incrementa en 2 puntos la velocidad del equipo, les otorga la habilidad “True Strike” y da soporte al tanque mediante la habilidad “Tank Heal”.

Usut fue el tanque en esta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con buenas estadísticas y las habilidades “Flying” y “Bloodlust”. Las cuales aumentan la posibilidad de esquivar ataques del tipo melee y ranged, y aumentan en 1 punto todas sus estadísticas cada vez que mata a un objetivo.

Venari Marksrat ocupó la segunda posición con el propósito de incrementar en 1 punto todas las estadísticas de sus monstruos adyacentes mediante su habilidad “Martyr”.

Shadowy Presence ocupó la tercera posición para ser el siguiente objetivo de los ataques de tipo “Snipe” enemigos. Una vez que Venari Marksrat fuera abatido. De esta forma, le da tiempo a Usut de debilitar al enemigo y fortalecerse mediante su habilidad “Bloodlust”.

Naga Assassin ocupó la cuarta posición con el mismo objetivo de Shadowy Presence.

Chaos Agent ocupó la quinta posición con el mismo objetivo de Shadowy Presence.

Kra’ar Xoc ocupó la última posición con el mismo objetivo que Shadowy Presence pero con la diferencia que cuenta con la habilidad “Scavenger”. La cual le permite incrementar en 1 punto su vida, cada vez que muere un monstruo. Lo que resulta en una gran ventaja, ya que podrá resistir un poco más el daño enemigo.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, usar a Byzantine Kitty como invocador en conjunto con los monstruos: Usut, Venari Marksrat, Shadowy Presence, Naga Assassin, Chaos Agent y Kra’ar Xoc, fue una buena opción. También es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 3 de la ronda 7, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Usut resistió muy bien en la primera posición gracias al soporte del invocador mediante la habilidad “Tank Heal”. Así mismo, el incremento en 1 punto de sus estadísticas gracias a la habilidad “Martyr” de Venari Marksrat también fue de gran ayuda. Por otra parte, Shadowy Presence, Naga Assassin, Chaos Agent y Kra’ar Xoc cumplieron muy bien su objetivo, concentrando todo el daño de la segunda línea enemiga en ellos para darle tiempo a Usut que debilitara al enemigo y tomara ventaja de su habilidad “Bloodlust”.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es una ofensiva enemiga basada en un elevado daño mágico y que incluya habilidades como: “Void”, “Affliction”, “Poison”, “Silence”, “Tank Heal”, “Heal”, “Magic Reflect”, “Amplify”, entre otras.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que el equipo enemigo no contaba con habilidades de soporte como “Tank Heal” o “Heal”. Por lo que su tanque no pudo resistir y una vez abatido, la estrategia quedó debilitada.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

In this week's challenge I want to share with you an interesting strategy I have been using combining Dragon and Death Splinters in games with the battle rules: "Keep Your Distance", "Target Practice" and a medium mana limit. I emphasize those aspects of the rule set because they are what led me to the development of the strategy.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver league ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing my analysis on explaining how I used the summoner Byzantine Kitty, the monsters Usut, Venari Marksrat and several low mana monsters to be consistent with the battle rules present and the abilities I wanted to combine in order to take advantage in the game.

Since these aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

Mana limit equal to 25 points with this amount we can choose legendary summoners with a mana cost between 4 - 7 points but with a well defined strategy, since the choice of monsters with the remaining mana must be precise.

Keep Your Distance is a rule that only allows using monsters with one type of magic damage, ranged or no attack in battle. Monsters with 2 attack types including physical damage cannot be used. On the other hand, the Target Practice rule grants the "Snipe" ability to all ranged and magic type monsters in battle, the "Snipe" ability targets non-attack, magic and ranged monsters in the second enemy row.

So, taking all these aspects into account, I decided to combine the Dragon and Death Splinters, since they have monsters with good stats, including good magic and ranged damage. They also have abilities such as: "Flying", "Bloodlust", "Martyr", "Dodge", "Scavenger", among others, and a summoner that increases the team's speed by 2 points, gives them the ability "True Strike" and supports the tank with his ability "Tank Heal".

Let's talk about the equipment, and the strategy it conforms. Given the circumstances of the battle, it was evident the use of magic damage and ranged. That's why I decided to use the summoner Byzantine Kitty, as it increases the team's speed by 2 points, gives them the ability "True Strike" and supports the tank with the ability "Tank Heal".

Usut was the tank this time, as he has good stats and the "Flying" and "Bloodlust" abilities. These increase the possibility of dodging melee and ranged attacks, and increase his stats by 1 point every time he kills a target.

Venari Marksrat took the second position with the purpose of increasing by 1 point all the stats of his adjacent monsters through his "Martyr" ability.

Shadowy Presence occupied the third position to be the next target of enemy "Snipe" type attacks. Once Venari Marksrat was shot down. This way, it gives Usut time to weaken the enemy and get stronger through his "Bloodlust" ability.

Naga Assassin took the fourth position with the same objective as Shadowy Presence.

Chaos Agent took the fifth position with the same objective as Shadowy Presence.

Kra'ar Xoc occupied the last position with the same objective as Shadowy Presence but with the difference that he has the "Scavenger" ability. It allows him to increase his life by 1 point every time a monster dies. This is a great advantage, since he will be able to resist enemy damage a little more.

As I mentioned before, using Byzantine Kitty as a summoner together with the monsters: Usut, Venari Marksrat, Shadowy Presence, Naga Assassin, Chaos Agent and Kra'ar Xoc, was a good choice. It is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Note how by turn 3 of round 7, the enemy team was almost down. Usut resisted very well in the first position thanks to the support of the summoner through the ability "Tank Heal". Likewise, the 1 point increase in his stats thanks to Venari Marksrat's "Martyr" skill was also a great help. On the other hand, Shadowy Presence, Naga Assassin, Chaos Agent and Kra'ar Xoc fulfilled their objective very well, concentrating all the damage of the enemy's second line on them to give Usut time to weaken the enemy and take advantage of his "Bloodlust" ability.

The strategy proposed made an efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, a good offensive, and coherence with the present set of rules.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy offensive based on high magic damage and including abilities such as: "Void", "Affliction", "Poison", "Silence", "Tank Heal", "Heal", "Magic Reflect", "Amplify", among others.

The difference between the strategies was that the enemy team did not have support abilities such as "Tank Heal" or "Heal". Therefore, their tank could not resist and once it was downed, the strategy was weakened.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we must not only focus on the statistics and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
