¡Saludos comunidad! El reto de esta semana es sobre una regla de batalla que sólo permite usar cartas comunes y raras. En la siguiente sección se explicará más a detalle. Por lo que tener en cuenta este aspecto en el análisis para formar nuestras estrategias, es un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de las mismas. Es importante recordar que el tipo de ofensiva a utilizar en nuestras estrategias también dependerá del resto de reglas presentes en la batalla.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de Ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo usé al Splinter de Muerte, el invocador Astral Entity, los monstruos Wily Coyotian, Venari Marksrat y Arachne Thug para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Rise of the Commons es una regla que sólo permite usar monstruos de tipo común y raro en la batalla. Es importante aclarar que no aplica para los invocadores.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 17 puntos, esta cantidad nos permite usar invocadores legendarios pero es recomendable tener una estrategia específica para aprovechar adecuadamente el maná restante.

La regla Rise of the Commons, ya la expliqué a detalle en la sección anterior. Por otra parte, la regla Equal Opportunity, otorga a todos los monstruos la habilidad “Opportunity”. La cual les permite atacar desde cualquier posición a los monstruos del equipo enemigo con la menor cantidad de vida.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí utilizar al Splinter de Muerte, ya que cuenta con monstruos que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño melee. Así mismo, también cuenta con habilidades como: “Martyr”, “Reach”, “Trample”, entre otras y con un invocador que reduce el escudo del equipo enemigo en 2 puntos, otorga la habilidad “Dodge” a nuestro equipo, y da soporte mediante su habilidad “Resurrect”.

Hablemos sobre el equipo, y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias, era evidente el uso de cualquier tipo de daño. Es por ello que decidí utilizar al invocador Astral Entity, ya que reduce el escudo del equipo enemigo en 2 puntos, otorga la habilidad “Dodge” a nuestro equipo, y da soporte mediante su habilidad “Resurrect”.

Wily Coyotian fue el tanque en esta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con un costo de maná 2 y tiene unas estadísticas medias.

Venari Marksrat ocupó la segunda posición temporalmente con el propósito de incrementar en 1 punto todas las estadísticas de sus monstruos adyacentes mediante su habilidad “Martyr”. Es importante resaltar que esto último se podrá hacer por segunda vez, gracias a la habilidad “Resurrect” de Astral Entity. Asimismo, Venari Marksrat será el primer objetivo de los ataques enemigos debido a la presencia de la habilidad “Equal Opportunity”.

Arachne Thug ocupó la última posición temporalmente para luego contribuir con su daño desde la segunda línea, mediante su habilidad “Reach”. Así mismo, tomar ventaja de su habilidad “Trample”, la cual le permite atacar al siguiente monstruo en la línea, una vez haya matado a su objetivo principal.

Es importante resaltar que aunque esta estrategia cuente con pocos monstruos, lo que hace la diferencia es el apoyo que les otorga Astral Entity mediante las habilidades: “Dodge” y “Resurrect”, y el debuff al enemigo.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, combinar al invocador Astral Entity, y los monstruos: Wily Coyotian, Venari Marksrat y Arachne Thug fue una excelente opción. Sin embargo, también es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 1 de la ronda 3, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Wily Coyotian y Arachne Thug debilitaron rápidamente al equipo enemigo. Esto fue posible gracias al apoyo conjunto de Astral Entity y Venari Marksrat, combinando las habilidades: “Martyr” y “Resurrect”.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es una ofensiva enemiga que tenga un elevado daño mágico, e incluya habilidades como: “Thorns”, “Defend”, “Protect”, entre otras. Así mismo, como un invocador que reduzca el daño melee o la velocidad.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que el daño de la segunda línea enemiga no estaba bien canalizado, por lo que no fue suficiente para abatir a mi tanque ni a Arachne Thug.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver League Ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing my analysis on explaining how I used the Death Splinter, the summoner Astral Entity, the monsters Wily Coyotian, Venari Marksrat and Arachne Thug to be coherent with the battle rules present and the abilities I wanted to combine in order to take advantage in the game.

As these aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Let's talk about the team, and the strategy it conforms. Given the circumstances, it was obvious to use any kind of damage. That's why I decided to use the summoner Astral Entity, since it reduces the enemy team's shield by 2 points, gives the ability "Dodge" to our team, and gives support through its ability "Resurrect".

Wily Coyotian was the tank this time, as he has a mana cost of 2 and has average stats.

Venari Marksrat occupied the second position temporarily with the purpose of increasing by 1 point all the stats of his adjacent monsters through his "Martyr" ability. It is important to note that the latter can be done a second time, thanks to Astral Entity's "Resurrect" ability. Also, Venari Marksrat will be the first target of enemy attacks due to the presence of the "Equal Opportunity" ability.

Arachne Thug occupied the last position temporarily to then contribute with his damage from the second line, through his "Reach" ability. He also took advantage of his "Trample" ability, which allows him to attack the next monster in line, once he has killed his main target.

It is important to note that although this strategy has few monsters, what makes the difference is the support that Astral Entity gives them through the abilities: "Dodge" and "Resurrect", and the debuff to the enemy.

As I mentioned before, combining the summoner Astral Entity, and the monsters: Wily Coyotian, Venari Marksrat and Arachne Thug was an excellent choice. However, it is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Notice how by turn 1 of round 3, the enemy team was almost down. Wily Coyotian and Arachne Thug quickly weakened the enemy team. This was possible thanks to the joint support of Astral Entity and Venari Marksrat, combining the skills: "Martyr" and "Resurrect".

The strategy proposed made an efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, a good offensive, and coherence with the present set of rules.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy offensive that has high magic damage, and includes abilities such as: "Thorns", "Defend", "Protect", among others. Also, as a summoner that reduces melee damage or speed.

The difference between the strategies was that the damage of the second enemy line was not well channeled, so it was not enough to bring down my tank or Arachne Thug.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we should not only focus on the stats and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
