¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes un análisis de mi experiencia utilizando una estrategia con el Splinter de Tierra. La cual considero una excelente opción para aquellas partidas con la condiciones de batalla “Going the Distance” & “Reverse Speed”. Es importante recordar que el tipo de ofensiva a utilizar en nuestras estrategias también dependerá del resto de reglas presentes en la batalla.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de Ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo usé al Splinter de Tierra, el invocador Fernheart y los monstruos Drybone Raider, Satha Toledo, Swell Spore Beast y Goblin Tower para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida con la estrategia planteada.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 36 puntos, esta cantidad nos permite elegir invocadores con un costo de maná entre 4 y 7 puntos. Sin embargo, es recomendable tener una estrategia definida para hacer un uso adecuado del maná restante para la elección de los monstruos.

Going the Distance es una regla que sólo permite usar monstruos de tipo ranged, incluyendo aquellos que posean dos tipos de ataque y uno de ellos sea ranged. Por otra parte, Reverse Speed, es una regla que invierte el orden de ataque de todos los monstruos de acuerdo a sus puntos de velocidad.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí utilizar al Splinter de Tierra, ya que cuenta con monstruos que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño melee y ranged. También cuenta con habilidades como: “Double Strike”, “Shatter”, “Tank Heal”, “Lookout”, “True Strike”, “Blast”, entre otras y con un invocador que incrementa en un punto la vida del equipo y les otorga la habilidad “Close Range”.

Hablemos sobre el equipo y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias, era evidente el uso del tipo de daño ranged. Es por ello que decidí elegir al invocador Fernheart, ya que incrementa en un punto la vida del equipo y les otorga la habilidad “Close Range”.

Drybone Raider fue el tanque en esta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño melee y poca velocidad. Por otra parte, sus habilidades “Double Strike” y “Shatter” permiten aprovechar mejor sus ataques.

Satha Toledo tiene el objetivo de dar soporte al tanque mediante su habilidad “Tank Heal” y proteger al resto del equipo cuando el tanque muera.

Swell Spore Beast contribuye con su daño desde la segunda línea y gracias a su habilidad “True Strike”, nunca falla sus ataques. Por otra parte, dado a su baja velocidad, es uno de los primeros en atacar.

Goblin Tower también contribuye con su daño desde la segunda línea y mediante su habilidad “Blast”, hace un daño adicional a los monstruos adyacentes de su objetivo. Por otra parte, dado a su baja velocidad, es uno de los primeros en atacar.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, elegir al invocador Fernheart y los monstruos Drybone Raider, Satha Toledo, Swell Spore Beast y Goblin Tower, fue una buena opción. Sin embargo, también es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo, resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 1 de la ronda 5, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Drybone Raider y Satha Toledo resistieron muy bien en las primeras posiciones, dando el tiempo suficiente a Swell Spore Beast y Goblin Tower para debilitar al enemigo.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es un equipo enemigo que cuente con habilidades como: “Return Fire”, “Headwinds”, “Protect” y “Repair”.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que los monstruos en las primeras posiciones enemigas no tenían las estadísticas suficientes para resistir el daño de mi ofensiva. Además, el equipo enemigo sólo contaba con 1 monstruo que tenía poca velocidad y un buen daño.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver League Ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing my analysis in explaining how I used the Earth Splinter, the summoner Fernheart and the monsters Drybone Raider, Satha Toledo, Swell Spore Beast and Goblin Tower to be coherent with the battle rules present and the skills I wanted to combine in order to take advantage in the game with the strategy proposed.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

Mana limit equal to 36 points, this amount allows us to choose summoners with a mana cost between 4 and 7 points. However, it is advisable to have a defined strategy to make proper use of the remaining mana for the choice of monsters.

Going the Distance is a rule that only allows the use of ranged monsters, including those that have two attack types and one of them is ranged. On the other hand, Reverse Speed is a rule that reverses the attack order of all monsters according to their speed points.

So, taking into account all these aspects, I decided to use the Earth Splinter, since it has monsters that have good stats, among them, good melee and ranged damage. It also has abilities such as: "Double Strike", "Shatter", "Tank Heal", "Lookout", "True Strike", "Blast", among others, and a summoner that increases the team's life by one point and gives them the ability "Close Range".

Let's talk about the equipment and the strategy it conforms. Given the circumstances, it was obvious to use the ranged damage type. That's why I decided to choose the summoner Fernheart, since it increases the team's health by one point and gives them the ability "Close Range".

Drybone Raider was the tank this time, as he has good stats, including good melee damage and low speed. On the other hand, his "Double Strike" and "Shatter" abilities allow him to take better advantage of his attacks.

Satha Toledo is intended to support the tank with his "Tank Heal" ability and protect the rest of the team when the tank dies.

Swell Spore Beast contributes with his damage from the second line and thanks to his "True Strike" ability, he never misses his attacks. On the other hand, due to his low speed, he is one of the first to attack.

Goblin Tower also contributes with its damage from the second line and through its "Blast" ability, it does additional damage to the adjacent monsters of its target. On the other hand, given its low speed, it is one of the first to attack.

As I mentioned before, choosing the summoner Fernheart and the monsters Drybone Raider, Satha Toledo, Swell Spore Beast and Goblin Tower was a good choice. However, it is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Note how by turn 1 of round 5, the enemy team was almost down. Drybone Raider and Satha Toledo resisted very well in the first positions, giving enough time to Swell Spore Beast and Goblin Tower to weaken the enemy.

The strategy proposed made an efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, a good offensive, and coherence with the present set of rules.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy team with abilities such as: "Return Fire", "Headwinds", "Protect" and "Repair".

The difference between the strategies was that the monsters in the first enemy positions did not have enough stats to resist the damage of my offensive. In addition, the enemy team had only 1 monster that had low speed and good damage.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we should not only focus on the stats and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
