# Land is getting so close! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 28 Report Card

Hi everyone!
So this is my report for the reason that ended about 14 days ago... I am not a speedy guy.
I did work out exactly how I am going to tackle Land 1.5 when it comes out... if you want to check that out.. the link is here. I'm glad I went into so much detail... there were quite a few things I realised as I was writing that report.
I hadn't appreciated at all that one plot would be able to feed all my other plots and still have grain left over. I wouldn't have guessed that my starting grain (gotten from the Time Crystals) wasn't going to cover my initial set up and that I'll have to use Time Crystals on my grain plot to cover it.
I also hadn't really appreciated just how important it will be have your land in the same region. With Land 1.5 you can feed your other plots, but only if they're in the same region... if you want to expand into other regions, you'll need multiple plots so that feed them.
In later releases you'll be able to transport grain, but there will be a time and monetary cost to that.
The grain that you'll able to purchase off the Splinterlands market will be so expensive at 1 DEC per grain... one of my plots requires 370 grain every hour... I do not want to pay 4,440 DEC every day for just one plot. I only earn about 34K DEC in rentals per month. This is obviously compounded since I won't be earning much from rentals at all (although prices will surely go up) once I pull my 35 most valuable cards from the rental markets to work my land.

This might be my best performance in a long, long time!
I haven't gotten into Diamond in forever... I do have to wonder if it was partly because of the Splinterlands team made moves to ban bots from Modern and I was able to take advantage of that transition.
I can assure you that in this current season I am not doing nearly as well despite having played nearly the same amount of games already. These streaks of 11 and 12 are incredible.

For this season (28) I grabbed 66 Loot chests which is a good third more than usual (and 2 thirds more than last season). 3 legendries with 2 of them being gold... outstanding!
One of the legendries was Skok Duskblight which is an amazing card by itself... but when played in the same deck as Zyriel is just so exciting. Such a great reward card.

Rentals are pretty much identical to other seasons... they're going to get a massive haircut once Land 1.5 comes out though.

Despite my Ranked Rewards being way higher than last season, everything else is lower. I guess it makes sense that Staking Rewards and License Stake Rewards are lower as I'm sure more is continually added. Be interesting to see what happens to Liquidity Rewards once Land 1.5 drops. I imagine people will be pulling DEC out to pay for staking on land. I shouldn't have to touch mine, so we'll see what happens.

Really exciting to have such a good season... progress has definitely been feeling tough... essentially since Chaos Legion came out if I'm being honest. I'm super excited for Land1.5, especially what it will mean for the actual gameplay. I'm sure we'll see way fewer gold cards and maybe even less powerful or leveled cards, so I'm really interested to see what effect it all has.

The best thing the team has done is that they have done away with the bots that have been people's interest and their new update which is coming to land gameplay, people are very excited about it. Glad to see you have earn some great cards. Best of luck for the next season.

From what I am reading here and there, I guess that you guys will have great chances to get even better results with no bots playing the game anymore.
And that's nice as many games encourages bots to increase traffic and trades BUT discouraging real players that in the long run they would leave it
Yeah, I've never run a bot myself, but I personally don't have a problem with people running bots... they are often easier to beat because it's hard to program in all the game variables and they speed up how often you can play... but I will say that the rewards in the Modern game have increased dramatically since the bots were removed. So that's nice for me.
You really had a great season looking at the outcome I must confess
I thought you had an excellent season, achieving diamond level and obtaining several valuable and rare cards. I also felt that you were very honest and reflective, admitting your failures and your challenges. I think you have made a very valuable and educational report, which can provide a lot of information and advice to other players. Congratulations my friend!
