# So much losingness! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 35 Report Card

Hi everyone!

So last season, I honestly really struggled to get many wins.
I didn't play as many games as usual, in Season 34 I had played 258 games... I think around 200-250 is about my average per season, but for Season 35 I only played 178.

In terms of collection power, I'd say I'm probably in the top 500 or so of players... but I'm nowhere near that on the leaderboards and that's because I don't have many Chaos Legion cards, and so with power creep I'm just not competitive. This means that as the season goes along... I really, really struggle at the start of the season, because I'm battling against accounts with decks more powerful than mine, and I struggle towards the end of the season when its a massive free-for-all and everyone is playing and its mayhem.

For me I think there is a sweet spot around the middle of a season when I can do okay, but if I don't have an opportunity to play much at that time, then I'm going to have a rough time overall.

In other news, I landed in 31st position in the pre-sale leaderboard for Rebellion packs, just missing out on the legendary title by 48 packs. It was a bummer for sure, I wanted that title for my land, but someone has to come in 31st and this time it was me.

On the plus side, I should be able to get a full Rebellion non-gold collection to play with and hopefully become competitive again.

I am pretty excited about Land 1.5 dropping (hopefully) in a couple of days. I've got my spreadsheet ready. I'm currently trying to work out how much SPS my 7 lands have been generating per 24 hours for comparison. I hopefully should have an idea before I start clearing and building on my plots.

I've pulled all my rental cards from the market. I'll assign workers to my land and then wait a couple of days and hopefully put cards on the rental market again with new prices.

Performance was not great. Both my win ratios are well below 1.

The good news is that I'm currently doing better in both systems (Wild and Modern) in the current season with 3+ days to go. I really want to break out of Bronze in Modern before Rebellion drops - it's really difficult with the cards I have, but luckily my Gladiator cards seem to be helping a lot.

Ideally I'd like to get both systems to about parity.

Considering I usually get about double these rewards, it's not great... but totally understandable given the amount I played. Getting two legendary reward cards was pretty ace though! I often don't get any legendries in a season.

I'm still confused about the huge variability of the staking rewards season to season... I would have thought they'd be pretty even.

My liquidity rewards have dried up a lot and will essentially fall off a cliff because I plundered way more of my LP DEC than I intended for for Rebellion.

I'm assuming that the Rebellion card values, the Rebellion airdrop card values, and the rewards I win with these new cards will be more valuable than the SPS I don't get by participating in the LPs. This was a bad bet with Chaos Legion, but I'm hoping the airdrop conflicts and promise not to hold sales will help me out here. I guess I'll have to check back in on myself in a year to see.

Really exciting times over the next two weeks. While I'm excited for Land 1.5, I also realise that it's likely to be a 'set and forget' game for me. I think my main output will be the research, just because of the land I got, so we'll see what comes of that.

I am impressed that this game is still exciting and engaging and sometimes frustrating but constantly fun after so many years. That is a huge effort that not many games actually achieve.

I've been getting totally destroyed in Wild. Even switched to Modern for a bit, but couldn't survive in Bronze 1. Absolutely brutal. Definitely vindicates my decision to retire from battling and just focus on land.

You are retiring from battling? I didn't know that... but I totally get it, especially with how much land you have. I lose so much more in Bronze than I ever do in Gold... it's almost a completely different game.

I'm really hoping some Rebellion cards can make that power creep work for me for the first time in a really long time.

I have one RB pack. They only have half the PP of CL, and they're 5 times pricier. I kinda assumed future editions would have similar PP as CL, and that I had several years to stack the cards I need to cover my plots. Kinda got me FOMOing into 2nd hand CL packs now. I'm glad they're cheap :)

Hahaha, you are quite the landlord. I believe future editions will eventually have similar PP to CL, ie Rebellion cards will have the same PP as Chaos Legion cards once the 6th edition is released. I quite like that technique.

I was wondering who was buying CL packs... and now I know.

It's just like we used to see that you played games very intelligently and you used to do it sometimes it happens in the middle and the opponent's cards are too strong and we have to lose the game. The thing is, since you're playing the game and you've even participated in its pre sale, it's nice to support the project.
