# I'm now a modern guy! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 22 Report Card

Look how much further I got in Modern than in Wild!!! I'm honestly astounded... especially considering my card collection has a lot of Beta cards and barely any Chaos Legion cards.

I was definitely disappointed not to get into Diamond I in Wild... but I essentially just ran out of time... I just hadn't put in the battles that I normally would.

I did buy a maxed out version of the Zyriel card, although I'm not surprised that sales have been way lower than I'm sure the Splinterlands team was hoping for. It's a super interesting card, but I think everyone is really far more focused on getting enough DEC for land. I do love pairing this card with the Shadowy Presence card in the Death splinter. I almost always use Shadowy Presence, especially in Diamond and above, so to get that extra ranged attack is super cool. I've currently only got a Level 2 Evelyn Auvera card... but once I can get that soulbound card up to Level 3 and get thorns, it'd be amazing to put it right in the back to counter those sneaky sneaks, and get the extra attack through Zyriel.

I did manage to get two gold cards out of my purchase of 11 cards, so that was pretty amazing. If I sold them I'd essentially have a maxed standard Zyriel for free.

I nearly didn't buy the cards at all...I was trying to convert some ETH into DEC via Uniswap and the ETH fees were $59. Absolutely shocking. In the end I pulled some DEC from the SPS-DEC LP I'm participating in... and I'm hoping ETH fees go back to normal and I can replenish that LP since it's now affecting my SPS collection efforts.

I'm still shocked that I went further in Modern than in Wild. My Modern collection is so restrictive... I don't honestly have enough summoners for the lower mana battles.

I am absolutely struggling in both Wild and Modern this current season... my Win/Loss ratio is currently appalling. In Modern I've currently lost twice as many games as I've won. It's rough right now.

I don't know what happened, but everyone got real good.

In Season 20 I got 63 EoS loot chests, in Season 21 I got 58 and for this Season 22 I got 46 EoS loot chests, not it's no surprise that the numbers are lower...

Hmm, you can see that my Net SPS amounts have been slowly shrinking over the past few seasons... which is no surprise since I've mined my LPs a few times for the Land Starter Packages and now for Zyriel. My hope is that once Land 1.5 drops I'll be earning SPS and DEC again (through grain production) so I can start to bump my LPs back up again... Land is such an unknown though.

I am absolutely struggling this current season, and I'm so curious to see if the implementation of Proposal #28 "Splinterlands will try to implement anti-bot measures in Modern format" will make Modern quite a bit harder again.

I assume all players (except for maybe the very top players) are finding wins far less frequent these days. It's not a bad thing at all, I just need to get better, faster, stronger. Let me know how you're going!
