# Alric Strugglebringer - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 23 Report Card

@aussieninja

Hi everyone!

So this report card is for the season that ended about 13 days ago...
Obviously I used to live entirely in the Wild format, and now I'm barely getting any traction at all, and this current season is even worse.

I think they've implemented the changes to kick bots out of the Modern format... and I was actually worried it would make Modern much harder (since bots tend to be predictable) but I just cannot get over how much hard Wild has gotten in recent weeks.

In the current season I'm in Gold I in Modern and Gold II in Wild with 3 days to go and I'm honestly not sure if I'll make it into Diamond, let alone the Champion league.

It's hard, I want to earn as many reward cards as I can... I'm hoping they'll be worth a bit when the soulbound era is over, but also they are pretty amazing cards and I want to try and max them out as soon as possible. I don't think I have any soulbound cards at the moment that are at the level I need, but they're usually so good being a couple of levels under still seems okay. On the other side of the coin, with Splinterlands being such a struggle it's really eating up a lot of time to get anywhere. I honestly cannot wait until Land 1.5 is launched... I'm hoping a lot of people start using their cards for workers instead of playing with them.

I've really being loving the Zyriel card. In a slow speed game, and using the spikey Evelyn Auvera at the end with the Angel of Light on the other side... so good... I'm trying to level up my Warrior of Peace card which I've never really used, but it's going to be a great card next to Zyriel in normal speed battles.

Rental pretty much on par, so that's great.
I'm excited to see what happens with The Great Burning to celebrate Splinterlands 5th birthday, but I'm not sure how much I'm going to participate myself.

I truly hope people got nuts trying to win those pretty amazing prizes... but for me, well, I've put aside some DEC for Land 1.5 - I've got the cards that I'll need all ready... and I just don't really have anything spare for this competition.

If I entered and managed to win some land, I don't actually have the cards or DEC to work it. I might throw some of my rental money in, just in the hope to scrape in to the top 200 to get a title, that would supplement my land.

SPS on par with last season... I'm glad it's not falling further... I was expecting it to be around 9K this season given the downwards trend of the last few seasons.

Season 22 my Net SPS was 11704.133
Season 21 my Net SPS was 14514.412
Season 20 my Net SPS was 16059.041

Season 15 my Net SPS was 17757.516.
Season 14 my Net SPS was 14016.525.
Season 13 my Net SPS was 12265.515.

I'm still enjoying the game and still playing every day... but I do sometimes wonder if my time was better spent elsewhere... still, it's so easy to just play a game or two while I'm doing other things that I think we're just stuck with each other for the moment.

Thanks for reading!

This is my first full season in modern. I did not notice much difference at first getting knocked back down to bronze at the reset of last season. Just the usual painful long slow slog to get back into silver but once back in silver I noticed my card power will get me to a higher level than in wild. Here is hoping I can battle my way into silver one and not get knocked back into bronze next season.

Honestly, the knockback is my greatest motivation to get into Diamond I or Champs III... I'm never there long enough to actually accrue many loot chests, I'm just trying not to fall back as far.

Good luck on getting to Silver I!

So far I haven't started playing it yet but from the way I read all people's posts all people play this game more heartily and their time is very well spent because it's very interesting. It is important is the way you have now stated all your rewards for the season and all. Stacking Rewards is also getting you a lot better. Best of luck for your next season.

I'm sure that if you work hard, you will be able to get so many reward cards...

i think this new souldbound thing is really awfull for the game, it take away the notion of NFT... and my final thought is, once all cards are liberated there will be like Millions of cards already printed, whales would had time to already acumulate what they needed, so these cards despite being very useful will worth little in the market due to overprinting...

Yeah, I totally understand that viewpoint.

I guess there are a few things to keep in mind:

1.) People are very motivated to keep playing Splinterlands in order to collect reward cards.
2.) People were very frustrated with bots collecting high numbers of reward cards and dumping them on the markets for very cheap amounts.

If someone wanted a particular reward card in the past, they would just buy it... Personally I bought Pelacor Mercenary early on because I needed an Earth tank. Now, if you want a similar tank, say soulbound Terraceous Grunt, you have to play to get chests to level it up.

You can buy a maxed Pelacor Mercenary for $4.10, which for 400 cards is $0.01 per card. There is 7,803,393 (nearly 8 million) BCX of this card, which translates to about 1,731,708 versions of this card in supply (since lots of people like me have combined this card).

The Terraceous Grunt has 1,719,718 BCX, which translates to about 684,446 versions of this card in supply. So at the moment there is only 39.5% as many total Terraceous Grunt cards compared to total Pelacor Mercenary cards but only a quarter of the total BCX.

I think the soulbound cards started around February 1, so we're 4 months in. If this batch goes for 12 months total then there will be less cards printed than the previous batch, if it goes for 16 months it'll be the same and if it goes for 24 months then there will be more soulbound cards than the previous batch... but... that's 2 years of people having to play to level up those cards.

Gaming in the spare time is good even if yes, your "self-question" is correct. Maybe time can be spent somewhere else. Still, if the passion is profitable, then also gaming can become much interesting especially if played while during something else!

I am not really fond of these games as they would require me a lot of time to be studied, understood and evaluate how to make them profitable. But if you have any suggestion, I am open to get them!
