Fungus Flinger evolutions - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 227
The Splinterlands Art Contest kicked in with another edition on Week 227 and for it, I am proposing some Fungus Flinger evolutions. This Common Earth Unit is full of mysticism and dangers and it was the right candidate for the new Splinterlands Souldbound Rewards Edition cards. While I am not by any means a digital artist, I've used my imagination by describing the character as best as I could from the Lore and giving it as input to the BlueWillow AI, a yet free AI image generator, but with a twist because it runs on Discord.
The given description to the AI was that of "A fantasy monster looking like a small creature that throws bits of fungus at any threat or danger and can be quite accurate. Their pasty projectiles explode on contact, blinding the target and grounding those that are airborne. Upon death, fungus flingers release spores that empower nearby allies." The results were different each time that I've run it and I ended up doing additional iterations to pick some more monsters. Here are some other variations that I liked.
While I agree that AI art is not a fully creative process, I also think that we express our creativity in terms of the given input to it. When we are doing that we imagine how we expect the AI to draw a character for us, even if the end result is unexpected most of the time. But that means that we both have merits: us as given creative instructions as input and AI for trying to depict images and creations out of that. I also believe that AI can help in the design of future characters, but not fully. Designers should take elements from them and embed them in their own visions.

These monsters looks dangerous, AI has done a great job. A mknster should looks dangerous other wise it will lost a meaning of being a monster. Wish you best of luck with the contest.

Chat GDP is much talked about these days I have also used it but still it doesn't give the details in the way people want. I would like to say here that what the human mind can do cannot do anything like this. People will use it but leave it in ed because they won't enjoy it. Your entries are best and amazing hopefully you will win this contest.

I think it's great that it can generate the art but I will wait to see how the lawsuit works against the AI art. I recall hearing about an AI live stream channel that used a different AI and people got mad at their content. So I wonder if all the services will always be online either.
