Land 1.5 . Splinterlands fans Delight at 10 New Ways They Can Make Their Money Disappear.

Land Ahoy.png

@nymphadel66 was rubbing his knees in anticipation last night on the much anticipated launch of Land 1.5 which is tipped to propel Splinterlands back to where it belongs in the eyes of its fans. At the top. No doubting the genius of Splinterlands , the bear market has seen the Hive play to earn game taking a hit. So much of a hit that they had to lay off employees and make a number of changes at board level. But the future of the game relies heavily on Land 1.5 working and boy have they went all out with more exciting plans ahead.

@nymphadel66 has one eye on the battle and one eye analysing a recent electricity bill and is wondering why the bill costs €5 extra this month over last month. It did get colder so maybe Samantha put on the heating one night upstairs without asking him. He needs to have a word with her around this. Inflation has really taken its toll and the family needed to save their penny's coming up to Christmas. In the background the Splinterlands battle in Champions I was going according to plan. His maxed out Kitty did the business again for him earning him 15 SPS. He looked forward to the land release tomorrow where he could put some of his cards to work.

Splinterlands has a solid foundation. There were 150 more @nymphadel66's buying up as much DEC as possible before the release of Land. Some users had amassed thousands of plots and thousands of Chaos Legion packs. There are plenty of ways to part ways with your FIAT or crypto. The most obvious of these is buying the actual trading a cards to play the game. There are 6 card groups , Life , Earth, Water , Death , Fire and Dragon which means you gotta have a good mix of cards to partake in ranked play. Then there is DEC which is the first main currency of the game to buy these cards. You have SPS which is ahhhh another governance currency of the game and you need this to enter competitions and gain rewards etc. Splinterlands then released spell books , totems, Vouchers , DEC batteries , Runi's so Splinterlands players could avail of these as well. Plenty to keep us going. Some might even say too much.
But with the release of Land 1.5 Splinterlands have come up with more innovative ways to part with users hard earned cash. There is now DEC staking which costs you 10,000 DEC for every card on a plot of land unless you have a runi and then this card covers you from staking the 10,000 DEC on each slot. You now have time crystals that speed up production. You now have grain which upgrades buildings. And this is only the beginning. Wagon wheels and conflicts are the future which is even more lucrative again.
Users flocked to buy the remaining runis on the market and to buy DEC to prepare for the staking on land. The FOMO is real as users were figuring out how the hell what method is ROI is better to get each of their plots up and running. The demand for DEC was so high that it started reverting to peg on a number of occasions this week which meant more SPS was burned and the famous flywheel is coming into play. All our worries are over when this happens so you gotta help out.
Users excitedly reacted with joy as. Land 1,5 launched and the first thing they did was go and buy DEC. Thousands of them , with a smile on their face. There were practically banners screaming for Land to be released and now that it has people are happy to spend vast amounts of money to get on their properties churning out something.
So Splinterlands have finally done us. Given us land while we cough up more funds but with a smile on our faces. Genius really.

Meanwhile nymphedel66's electricity company, to whom he owes a considerable amount to have started playing the game in order to get the monies. Electric Energy Elements (EEE's) can now be purchases in a presale from the electric company in which they sell you 100 kWh blocks. @nymphedel is after buying 3000 of these in the presale which will cover his power usage for the next two decades.

"It's genius really," said the utilities company chairman.
"I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner"
"People like @nymphidel66 have no problem dropping 10 grand on a Land region in Splinterlands but if you ask him to pay his electricity bills he's all of a sudden broke diddly oke and running for the hills. His friends were telling me he wouldn't even buy a round but would drop €1000 on another validator node in a jiffy. So we changed out model and now Electric Land is making more money than ever.

"The end goal is like Splinterlands, to have users patiently waiting 2 years to spend a heap more load of money" "Fantastic model" added the chairman.

"The future is bright for Splinterlands and Electric lands alight,.
