Merry Christmas one and all! 🎅🎁 It has been somewhat quiet in Splinterlands in terms of any breaking news because of the holiday week. Even my daily playing frequency has been somewhat affected as I've been busy getting presents for all my friends and family members.

On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, Winterfest is still ongoing, although the Bulk Sales Deal is now over. That being said there is some sneak preview of the next Chaos Legion airdrop Summoner too! 🤑

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 57th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. Of course, this also marks another weekly giveaway! 🎉🥳🎊

As mentioned, I've been playing lesser than usual this week thanks to my "Santa duties" 🤣. That means buying presents for everyone 💸. I don't envy Santa at all, it's a yearly enormous hole in the pocket for him having to give out so many gifts. 🎅

I've still managed to get a reasonable amount of chests everyday from the daily focuses though (on both my main and alt accounts), although quite a bit of ECR has been wasted everyday as I don't have the time to drain it off efficiently.

Not a problem though, my luck means I probably wouldn't have gotten anything of significance in those few extra chests anyway right? 😅 (I hope)

I'll just have to make it for it NEXT YEAR! 🤣

My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

My 242 Nightmare packs have been easily sold this week. Perhaps it's the Christmas effect? This has netted me a nice profit having bought them all for about 5 HIVE (and selling them for 5.9++) each.

I have not managed to get any new Nightmare packs to replace all those to plough it all back into the game as I usually do though. I probably have to wait for this "festive period" to end first before I can get them at the price I want.

On the plus side, HIVE price shot up by about 17% yesterday thanks to our Korean friends at UPBIT again and I turned all those HIVE into HBD to be reconverted into HIVE again at a later date. I think I've made a nice quick profit here especially now that HIVE has dropped back to below $0.3 again. 🤑

All those great BULK deals which offered really generous amounts of bonus packs are now over. I had initially planned on entering one of those pools but eventually decided against it. It was a pretty good deal too in my opinion since most of them were offering 185 packs for the price of 100 packs and also included the airdrop promo Arkemis the Bear card.

However, I've decided to just buy individual cards from the market. Time will know if I made the right or wrong choices. So far, I'm ahead in the amount of $ I spent initially to buy up all those DEC which I've already sold when the price spiked.

The Winterfest promotion is still not over yet though. Just be reminded that any purchase of Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers, and Tower Defense Nightmare packs will still net you a BONUS PROMO card (Arkemis the Bear)!

The Splinterlands team also revealed a sneak peek of the NEXT Chaos Legion Legendary airdrop Summoner! He is called Immortalis. I wonder what his abilities are? 🤔 Does it have any thing to do with his name? Perhaps some revive or healing ability?

I guess we will find out soon enough. With the current burn rate and purchase of packs, the next airdrop should be upon us very soon.

And now, for an update on the number of Chaos Legion packs sold thus far. About 475k sold since last week. That is an amazing sales figure! 😄

(Well, actually, the burning of CL packs has also started and this will add into the figures. So that means CL packs are soon going to be in really short quantity. Best to get it while you still can!)

Here's the current count (as of the moment I'm writing this post) of the number of packs sold, and we're 92k away from the 12 million mark! Which also means everyone has a chance to get in now and grab more packs for the remaining airdrops! 😜
