Here's my 67th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️

It looks like I spoke too soon in my last brawl report when I was rejoicing at having finally caught up to all my brawl posts. The start of the new work year has been busier than I anticipated and I've in turn started lagging behind on my HIVE posts again unfortunately. 😅

It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 50th week in a row for me.

My percentage win rate inched up slightly by a few decimals to 60.1+% 🤣. Very fine margins indeed, but I'll take even the slightest bit of progress. Something is better than nothing after all. 😉

No Gladius packs for me this week too. I'm still quite a distance away from 2k MERITS. It will probably take me the next brawl or two before I can expect to purchase another one.

_{Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)}

_{Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉}

LOST.

I had initially thought that this battle would be in my favour, with my more magic leaning team being able to easily shred through my opponent's armour.

Unfortunately, I had failed to account for the deadliness of the Gladiator card Isgald Vorst. This hard hitting OPPORTUNITY monster decimated my ranks and grew more powerful with every kill. My own OPPORTUNITY Gladiator card was unfortunately taken out by his too.

I lost this game in a battle of Gladiators. 😭

There was no chance for me to redeem that loss as it ended up being the only opponent I faced. Ah well, I doubt anyone could have accounted for that Gladius card turning the match. There is a certain randomness in Gold Foil frays at this level. Having the luck to have the proper gold foil Gladius card can really decide battles. I guess I can always pray to Lady Luck for more Gold Foil/Legendary blessings. My luck has been pretty dismal of late. 💔🍀

_{I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.}

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 2nd place! 🏆🏆🏆

It was a pretty strong finish once again. The 1st placed was way ahead of everyone else, but we also had a > 10 game win over the 3rd place. This was a brawl with really huge divides among the top 3 teams. 😱 I think we all did pretty well and can be satisfied though.

On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...
