How to take advantage of the Life Leech ability in low mana battles: the potential of Ancient Lich – Social media Challenge (Eng/Esp).

Greetings Splinterlands community, I welcome you to my social media challenge of the week and on this occasion I want to share with you the potential of one of the cards that I feel has been less valued as well as its ability: life leech, but let's see what this is skill first.
Saludos comunidad de Splinterlands les doy la bienvenida a mi social media challenge de la semana y en esta ocasión quiero compartirles el potencial de una de las cartas que siento que ha sido menos preciada al igual que su habilidad: life leech, pero veamos que es esta habilidad primero.

Life leech is an ability that allows a monster to increase its life each time it attacks its target, the amount of life it steals in turn can vary depending on the amount of damage it deals.
Life leech es una habilidad que le permite a un monstruo incrementar su vida cada vez que ataca a su objetivo, la cantidad de vida que roba a su vez puede variar dependiendo de la cantidad de daño que haga.
Cards with the life leech ability/Cartas con la habilidad life leech
There are many cards with this ability, however one of them stands out above all and it is Ancient Lich. This is a reward card from the Untamed edition that I feel has been forgotten, only at level 1 this card does 3 magic damage which allows it to steal 2 life points per attack.
Existen muchas cartas con esta habilidad, sin embargo una de ellas destaca por encima de todas y es Ancient Lich. Esta es una carta reward de la edición Untamed que siento que ha quedado en el olvido, tan solo en el nivel 1 esta carta hace 3 de daño mágico lo que le permite robar 2 puntos de vida por ataque.
One of the things that most entertains me about past editions is seeing how they integrate with the new abilities that have been incorporated so far, since certain cards that had fallen into oblivion reemerge strongly in the meta with the new abilities. In this sense we are going to see 2 battles where we will see the versatility of Ancient Lich in low mana battles. Let's get started!
Una de las cosas que más me entretiene de las ediciones pasadas es ver como se integran con las nuevas habilidades que hasta ahora se han incorporado, ya que ciertas cartas que habían caído en el olvido resurgen con fuerza en el meta con las nuevas habilidades. En este sentido vamos a ver 2 batallas donde veremos la versatilidad de Ancient Lich en batallas de bajo mana. Comencemos!
⚔️1st Battle/1era Batalla: Death Splinter ⚔️

Our first battle has a mana cap of 14 and only allows us to use all splinters except for the dragon splinter. Normally in this type of combat where only ranged or magic attack units can be used, the opponent almost always uses magic units. Therefore our best option is to reduce the opponent's magic power.
Nuestra primera batalla tiene un límite de mana de 14 y solo nos permite utilizar todos los splinters a excepción del splinter dragón. Normalmente en este tipo de combate donde solo se pueden utilizar unidades de ataque rango o mágico, el oponente casi siempre utiliza unidades mágicas. Por tanto nuestra mejor opción es reducir el poder mágico del oponente.
Alineación/Alignment
🧙 Summoner/ Invocador: Thaddius Brood
If we want to take advantage of Ancient Lich's potential it is important to reduce our opponent's damage and as we suspect that his alignment will be entirely magical we will use Thaddius to reduce not only magic damage but also health by -1.
Si queremos aprovechar el potencial de Ancient Lich es importante reducir el daño de nuestro oponente y como sospechamos que su alineación será enteramente mágica usaremos a Thaddius para reducir no solo el daño mágico sino también la salud en -1.
🎴 Venari Marksrat
We will use the Venari to increase the Ancient Lich's statistics so not only will it be able to do more damage but it can also steal more life since it will be able to die and revive, which will raise its statistics by X2.
Usaremos el Venari para incrementar las estadísticas del Ancient Lich así no solo podrá hacer más daño sino que además puede robar más vida ya que podrá morir y revivir por lo que subirá sus estadísticas X2.
🎴 Ancient Lich
It is the fundamental piece of our offensive. Its damage is +3 magic, which means that a direct hit steals +2 life points assuming that the summoner or any unit does not reduce our magic damage. In addition, this unit has the Void ability, which It gives it high resistance to magic. We will place him in the 2nd position right next to the martyr.
Es la pieza fundamental de nuestra ofensiva su daño es de +3 de magia eso significa que un impacto directo roba +2 puntos de vida suponiendo que el invocador o alguna unidad no reduzca nuestro daño mágico, como añadido esta unidad tiene la habilidad Void lo que le confiere una alta resistencia a la magia. Lo ubicaremos en la 2da posición justo al lado del mártir.
🎴 Theorosa Nightshade
We have 1 mana point left, we will take advantage of it to place Theorosa Nightshade as the last offensive unit and thus close our short lineup.
Nos sobra 1 punto de mana, lo aprovecharemos para colocar a Theorosa Nightshade como la última unidad ofensiva y así cerrar nuestra corta alineación.
⚔️ Battle/Batalla
💀 Round 1
This first round will define the future of the battle, since our opponent will use magic to attack us, it was pertinent to use Thaddius, now we will only watch as the martyrs are sacrificed and our main tanks increase their statistics.
Este primer round definirá el devenir de la batalla, en vista que nuestro oponente usará magía para atacarnos fue pertinente usar a Thaddius, ahora solo contemplaremos como se sacrifican los mártires y nuestros tanques principales aumentan sus estadísticas.
💀 Round 3 & 5
It is from round 2 that the real battle begins, the enemy tank reached 4 points of damage and the djin does 2 damage, fortunately the Ancient Lich has void so per turn we will receive 3 damage and since the Regal periton does not have any type of magic resistance is removed permanently in the 3rd round, while Ancient Lich does the same with the Djinn for the 5th round. An impeccable victory but not the only one, let's go to the next battle!
Es a partir del round 2 que comienza la verdadera batalla el tanque enemigo llego hasta los 4 puntos de daño y el djin hace 2 de daño , afortunadamente el Ancient Lich tiene void así que por turno recibiremos 3 de daño y como el Regal Periton no tiene ningún tipo de resistencia a la magia es eliminado definitivamente en el 3er round, mientras que Ancient Lich hace lo mismo con el Djinn para el 5to round. Una victoria impecable pero no la única, vayamos a la siguiente batalla!

The next battle is with 14 mana, the possibility of summoning a gladius card and the speed is inverted, under these circumstances it usually happens that the opponent tends to use cards with melee attacks, for this we will reduce the opponent's ability to do melee damage.
La siguiente batalla es con 14 de mana, la posibilidad de invocar una carta gladius y la velocidad esta invertida, bajo estas circunstancias suele pasar que el oponente tiende a usar cartas con ataques melé, por esto reduciremos la capacidad del contrario para hacer daño melé.
🃏 Alineación/Alignment
🎴 Summoner/ Invocador: Camila Sungazer
Camila will be our best choice to face this battle, a cheaper alternative would be to use Zintar Mortalis but we do not have this card for now, so for now we will use this summoner combined with the death class.
Camila será nuestra mejor elección para afrontar esta batalla, una alternativa más económica sería utilizar a Zintar Mortalis pero no contamos con esta carta por ahora, asi que por ahora usaremos este invocador combinado con la clase muerte.
🎴 Corpse Fiend
Corpse Fiend will only help us waste time on the enemy while Ancient Lich steals the most life, this will be the only purpose of this card.
Corpse Fiend solo nos ayudará a que el enemigo pierda tiempo mientras Ancient Lich roba la mayor cantidad de vida, este será el único propósito de esta carta.
🎴 Shadowy Presence
In the same way as the previous card Shadowy Presence will help us to make the opponent lose turns attacking him while the Lich steals as much life as possible, it only consumes 1 mana point and has 4 life so it will be able to withstand at least 2 enemy attacks.
De igual manera que la carta anterior Shadowy Presence nos ayudará a que el oponente pierda turnos atacándolo mientras el Lich roba la mayor cantidad de vida posible, solo consume 1 punto de mana y y tiene 4 de vida así que podrá soportar al menos 2 ataques enemigos.
🎴 Ancient Lich
The third position will be for Ancien Lich. From here we can keep this card safe while it steals life, this way when it reaches the first position, no matter how many times it attacks, the opponent will not be able to eliminate us while we steal life.
La tercera posición será para Ancien Lich desde aquí podremos mantener esta carta a buen resguardo mientras roba vida, de esta manera cuando llegue a la primera posición no importa cuantas veces ataque el oponente no será capaz de eliminarnos mientras robemos vida.
🎴 Theorosa Nightshade
Finally, we will once again have the help of Theorosa Nightshade, not so much as an offensive unit, but more as a decoy to take care of the Ancient Lich's rear.
Por último Contaremos nuevamente con la ayuda de Theorosa Nightshade no tanto como una unidad ofensiva, sino más como un señuelo para cuidar la retaguardia del Ancient Lich.
⚔️ Batalla/Battle
☠️ Round 1 & 2
In the first 2 rounds we lost the Corpse Fiend and Theorosa but we managed to steal 4 life points with the Ancient Lich and we still have the Shadowy Presence to distract the enemy.
En los 2 primeros rounds perdimos al Corpse Fiend y a Theorosa pero logramos robar 4 puntos de vida con el Ancient Lich y aun tenemos al Shadowy Presence para distraer al enemigo.
☠️ Round 3 & 4
In the 3rd round we continue stealing life while Shadowy Presence manages to dodge an attack which gives us another opportunity for the opponent to continue losing attacks.
En el 3er round continuamos robando vida mientras Shadowy Presence logra esquivar un ataque lo que nos da otra oportunidad de que el oponente siga perdiendo ataques.
☠️ Rounds 5 & 8
By the 5th round we have a total of 11 life points and when facing the Whelp Herder we realize that he does not do enough damage to be a threat equal to the rest of the units that one by one are eliminated by the Ancient Lich. Victory!
Ya para el 5to round tenemos un total de 11 puntos de vida y al enfrentarnos al Whelp Herder nos damos cuenta que no hace el daño suficiente para ser una amenaza igual el resto de unidades que una a una son eliminadas por el Ancient Lich. Victoria!
🎃 Conclusiones
Life Leech is a skill that has been forgotten with these new editions that have incorporated stronger cards with new abilities. However, for low mana battles this ability offers a huge advantage.
An interesting aspect is that by stealing life this card is progressively raising its maximum life constantly, very similar to those cards with the scavenger ability, if they are supported with cards that can heal it the amounts of life that these cards can recover would be enormous, so consider this possibility to reinforce your alignment.
Life Leech es una habilidad que ha quedado olvidada con estas nuevas ediciones que han incorporado cartas más fuertes y con nuevas habilidades. Sin embargo, para batallas de bajo mana esta habilidad ofrece una gran ventaja.
Un aspecto interesante es que al robar vida esta carta progresivamente esta subiendo su vida máxima constantemente, muy parecido aquellas cartas con la habilidad scavenger, si se apoyan con cartas que puedan sanarlo las cantidades de vida que puede recuperar estas cartas serían enormes, así que considere esta posibilidad para reforzar su alineación.
