My participation in the Reflection Hunters Contest - #SMARP round #272: Experimental reflections! [Eng/Esp]

Hello, Shadow Hunters community! I've been absent from this wonderful SMARP contest for quite some time! But it turns out these past few weeks have been quite complicated for me in the real world. I still haven't found an assistant to help me at the university, and as you can see, I always end up running the lab completely alone. Even though I'm the head of the department and coordinator of the lab sessions, I also have to be a Level I and II teaching assistant, the professor who teaches the course, and an assistant for the other lab sessions led by other professors! In short, it's such a draining amount of work that it's made me seriously reconsider whether I want to continue doing this. But then I remember the professors who trained me with the same dedication and selflessness, and I understand that I have a responsibility to fulfill here.

Seeing my colleagues from other subjects trying to overcome difficulties is also a great encouragement to keep going. Speaking of which, my ecology colleagues were gathered in their lab organizing the course schedule for this semester, and I peeked in for a moment to say hello. I noticed the reflection of the window in the door looking into the lab, which was empty at the time because the lab sessions hadn't started yet. So I took the time to capture the reflection from different angles for this SMARP round 272.

Of the various photos I took, the one I liked best was the cover photo, which reflects the window and part of the lab bench. The great advantage of these labs is that they are well-lit, making it quite comfortable to conduct experiments with students, and they are also quite spacious. At the top of the window, you can see the piping that supplies the labs with water, air, and gas for experiments that require Bunsen burners, such as microbiology or bacterial growth. After taking the photos, I noticed the safety glass of the laminar flow hood; I might share a wider reflection from that piece of equipment in a future post.

Hola, Hola comunidad de Shadow Hunters! Me he perdido por un buen tiempo de participar en este maravilloso concurso de SMARP! Pero resulta que estas semanas han sido bastante complecadas para mi en el mundo real, apun sigo sin conseguir un asistente que me ayude en la facultad y como pueden ver siempre consigo el laboratorio completamente solo y aunque soy el jefe de cátedra y coordinador de las prácticas de laboratorio también me toca ser asistente de nivel I y II, profesor que dicta la materia y auxiliar de las otras prácticas colegiadas por otros profesores! En definitiva es una cantidad de trabajo tan desgastante que me han hecho reconsiderar seriamente si quiero seguir haciendo esto, pero luego recuerdo a los profesores que me formaron a mi de la misma manera entregada y desinteresada y comprendo que tengo una responsabilidad que cumplir aquí.

También ver a mis colegas de otras asignaturas tratando de sobrellevar las dificultades son un gran estímulo para seguir adelante, y justamente hablando de eso mis colegas ecólogos estaban reunidos en su laboratorio organizando el cronograma de la materia para este semestre y me asome por un momento para saludar, y me encontré con el reflejo de la ventana de la puerta hacia el interior del laboratorio que en ese momento no había nadie porque aún no comenzaban las prácticas de laboratorio, así que me tomé el tiempo de capturar el reflejo desde distintos ángulos para este SMARP round 272

De las distintas fotos que tomé, la que más me gustó fue la que esta de portada, que refleja la ventana y parte del mesón de laboratorio. La gran ventaja de estos laboratorios es que están bien iluminados por lo que hacer experimentos con los estudiantes es bastante cómodo además de ser espacios bastante amplios. En la parte superior de la ventana se ve reflejado la tubería que alimentan los laboratorios con agua, aire y gas para las prácticas que necesitan trabajar con mecheros como microbiología o crecimiento bacteriano. Después de tomar las fotos me di cuenta del vidrio de seguridad de la campana de flujo laminar, posiblemente en un próximo post les comparta un reflejo más amplio desde ese equipo.

Y bien amigos, con esto cerramos mi participación en el SMARP de esta semana, espero que les haya gustado! El trabajo de laboratorio ya sea en docencia que es este caso o en investigación siempre es gratificante para mi y por eso disfruto mucho compartirlo en la blockchain aunque sea a través de reflejos.
