Taberna Temático con Amigos: Tertulia de Splinterlands y Balance de Final de Temporada [Esp/Eng]
Que tal comunidad de Hive NFTGame Latino y Splinterlands! Ya estamos en diciembre y deseándoles mucha salud y que hayan logrado culminar sus metas del año hoy quiero compartirles precisamente un evento de interacción social que siempre disfruto hacer los sábados, se trata de la transmisión N° 68 de la Taberna de Bulkathos que siempre llevamos acabo los sábados. Pero esta transmisión fue particularmente especial porque el último sábado de cada mes hacemos una transmisión temática donde llevamos alguna cerveza y pasamos un rato chill hablando de las novedades de Splinterlands y cuando se puede nos divertimos con mini torneos.
Hello Hive NFTGame Latino and Splinterlandscommunity! It's already December, and wishing you all good health and that you've accomplished your goals for the year, today I want to share a social interaction event that I always enjoy hosting on Saturdays: the 68th Bulkathos Tavern broadcast. This broadcast was particularly special because on the last Saturday of each month, we have a themed broadcast where we bring some beers and have a chill time talking about the latest Splinterlands news, and when possible, we have some fun with mini-tournaments.

De hecho en estos últimos 18 meses se ha convertido en mi semana favorita de cada mes, porque es la excusa perfecta para buscar distintas marcas de cervezas y degustarlas, algunas veces son cervezas comerciales nacionales o de otros países y en otros casos cuando tengo suerte pruebo cervezas artesanales. Es un proceso de descubrimiento de marcas y sabores que me encantan y suelo compartirlos con mis compas en la transmisión del Discord cada sábado a las 8 pm Hora Venezuela (0 UTC). En esta ocasión compre 2 cervezas para compartir este momento, la primera era esta Regional una cerveza que se ha vuelto tradicional en el Noroccidente del país y que nunca le había dado la oportunidad.
In fact, over the last 18 months, it's become my favorite week of the month because it's the perfect excuse to seek out different beer brands and taste them. Sometimes they're commercial beers from Venezuela or other countries, and other times, when I'm lucky, I try craft beers. It's a process of discovering brands and flavors that I love, and I usually share them with my friends on the Discord stream every Saturday at 8 pm Venezuela time (0 UTC). This time, I bought two beers to share this moment. The first was Regional, a beer that has become a tradition in the Northwest of the country, and one I'd never given a chance before.

Ya que estamos agradeciendo a los involucrados en que este espacio sea posible, debo reconocer el apoyo que nos han dado nuestros amigos de Hive NFTGame Latino y Aliento sin su apoyo este espacio no habría sido posible. Comenzamos nuestra acostumbrada tertulia revisando el precio de los principales tokens y activos del juego, mi mayor preocupación aquí es lo alejado que esta el precio del Dec de su Peg, casi 0.5$ por cada 1000 Decs.
I was joined on this stream by @cpol, @morenow, and @mirlenyjerez, whom I thank for attending this themed broadcast. I especially want to highlight Mirleny's presence since she wasn't feeling well that day and made an effort to join us. Since we're thanking everyone involved in making this space possible, I must acknowledge the support we've received from our friends at Hive NFTGame Latino and Aliento. Without their support, this space wouldn't have been possible. We began our usual discussion by reviewing the prices of the game's main tokens and assets. My biggest concern here is how far the price of Dec is from its Peg, almost $0.50 for every 1000 Decs.
Por una parte es malo que el Dec haya bajado tanto de precio porque eso significa que para los que tenemos parcelas virtuales en Splinterlands, el precio de los recursos que cosechamos será menor. Pero por otro lado, tiene la ventaja de que el recurso de grano esta muy barato y podemos aprovechar este mercado bajista para adquirir grandes cantidades de grano y prepararnos para cuando los precios de tokens y recursos suban. Estimo que esto puede pasar con la salida de la mini edición de Conclave Arcana.
On the one hand, it's bad that Dec has dropped so much in price because it means that for those of us with virtual plots in Splinterlands, the price of the resources we harvest will be lower. But on the other hand, it has the advantage that the grain resource is very cheap, and we can take advantage of this bear market to acquire large quantities of grain and prepare for when token and resource prices rise. I estimate that this could happen with the release of the Conclave Arcana mini-edition.
En este contexto, también revisamos el precio de las parcelas de recursos para pescar alguna oferta interesante y aunque ciertamente las había, no hay ofertadas casi parcelas de granos o de piedra que son los recursos están perfilando como los más demandados en Lands, considerando que están por salir las cartas exclusivas para esta fase del juego y que se podrán craftear con recursos y un nuevo token intransferible: ceniza, el cual obtenemos al quemar cartas no soulbound.
In this context, we also reviewed the price of resource plots to find some interesting offers, and although there were certainly some, there were hardly any grain or stone plots on offer, which are the resources that are shaping up to be the most in demand in Lands, considering that the exclusive cards for this phase of the game are about to be released and that they can be crafted with resources and a new non-transferable token: ash, which we obtain by burning non-soulbound cards.
Por último cerramos nuestra acostumbrada tertulia destacando el reconocimiento a Splinterlands por ser nominado a mejor juego Blockchain 2025. Consideramos que ya de por si la nominación es algo excepcional considerando los años que tiene activo este proyecto y como junto a la comunidad ha logrado mantenerse durante este largo período bajista que llevado a muchos otros proyectos a la quiebra o a modificar drásticamente sus mecánicas de juego. El último aspecto del que hablamos era la fecha límite para la adquisición de los más recientes skins temáticos de la temporada que terminó, el de día de gracias.
Finally, we concluded our usual discussion by highlighting Splinterlands' nomination for Best Blockchain Game 2025. We consider the nomination itself exceptional, given how long this project has been active and how, together with the community, it has managed to survive this long bear market that has led many other projects to bankruptcy or drastically change their gameplay mechanics. The image includes a link to information on how to participate and support Splinterlands. The last aspect we discussed was the deadline for acquiring the latest themed skins of the season that just ended, the Thanksgiving season.

Nuevas Skins del Dia de Acción de Gracias/New Thanksgiving Skins
Estas skins están disponibles por tiempo limitado, así que comentábamos sobre su excelente diseño y lo sencillo que era obtener las 2 primeras skins pero que la ultima si requería de un gran esfuerzo e inversión de tiempo, porque costaba 20K de glints, el token de recompensa del juego, lo que implicaba jugar dedicadamente si querías tenerlo antes de terminar la temporada. En mi caso particular compre las 3 ya que estas skins pueden vender en un futuro próximo y mientras más raros sean mayor será su valor. Con esto terminamos la tertulia de nuestra transmisión y dado que no estábamos los suficientes asistentes para armar un torneo decidimos dejarlo por sorteo entre los asistentes del directo, pero antes me terminé mi primera cerveza para recargar con una nueva ronda!
These skins are available for a limited time, so we were discussing their excellent design and how easy it was to get the first two skins. However, the last one required a significant effort and time investment because it cost 20,000 glints, the game's reward token. This meant playing diligently if you wanted to get it before the season ended. Personally, I bought all three since these skins can be sold in the near future, and the rarer they are, the higher their value. With that, we wrapped up our discussion on the stream, and since there weren't enough viewers to organize a tournament, we decided to raffle it off among the stream attendees. But before that, I finished my first beer to fuel up for another round!

Esta vez escogí una cerveza Zulia que había dejado convenientemente en el freezer para que estuviera en su punto y aunque no era tan espumosa con la Regional la disfrute bastante, en realidad me gustan más las cervezas en botella que en lata, es prácticamente una costumbre en Venezuela preferirlas en botella bien frías. Así comenzamos el sorteo y para el tercer lugar nuestro ganador fue @rathma, de segundo @morenow y el primer premio se lo ha llevado @mirlenyjerez. Felicidades!
This time I chose a Zulia beer that I had conveniently left in the freezer to chill perfectly, and although it wasn't as foamy as the Regional, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I actually prefer bottled beers to canned ones; it's practically a Venezuelan custom to prefer them ice-cold in bottles. So, we started the raffle, and our third-place winner was @rathma, second place went to @morenow, and the first prize was won by @mirlenyjerez. Congratulations!

Al final procedimos a entregar los premios en NFT 1 cartas común + 100 Dec para el tercer lugar, 1 cartas rara + 200 Decs para el segundo lugar y finalmente 1 carta rara + 300 Decs para el primer lugar. Con esto terminamos la penúltima taberna temática del año esperando que para la última semana de diciembre podamos traer más y mejores premios.
Finally, we proceeded to award the prizes in NFT format: 1 common card + 100 Dec for third place, 1 rare card + 200 Dec for second place, and finally, 1 rare card + 300 Dec for first place. With this, we conclude the penultimate themed tavern of the year, hoping that we can bring you more and better prizes during the last week of December.

EoS Balance
El mismo día de la taberna temática también fue el final de temporada y no quería cerrar este post sin actualizar mi progreso en el formato moderno. Estuve bastante limitado de jugar en el ranking moderno pues estaba dedicando todo mi tiempo a tratar de completar mi mazo Foundations por medio de las recompensas en el ranking Frontiers. Pero esta temporada decidí recorrer nuevamente la liga bronce/plata en moderno y alcancé acumular 27K en el token de recompensa glint y hasta ese momento solo tenía 1 bcx de cada carta común y rara, por lo que decidí invertir mis glints en solo cartas comunes para intentar llevarlas casi todas al nivel 2.
The same day as the themed tavern was also the season finale, and I didn't want to close this post without updating my progress in the Modern format. I was pretty limited in my modern ranked play because I was dedicating all my time to trying to complete my Foundations deck using Frontiers ranked rewards. But this season I decided to run through the bronze/silver league again in modern and managed to accumulate 27K Glint reward tokens. Up until that point, I only had one BCX of each common and rare card, so I decided to invest my Glint tokens in common cards to try and get almost all of them to level 2.

Después de revelar 89 copias, los resultados fueron bastante satisfactorios, porque hasta ahora no tenia ninguna copia de cartas neutras y logre conseguir las suficientes para llevarlas al nivel 2. Sin embargo aunque logramos llevar todas estas cartas comunes a nivel, la mayoría de ellos solo aumentaban 1 punto de vida, defensa o velocidad. Sólo 2 cartas consiguieron mejoras verdaderamente significativas.
After revealing 89 copies, the results were quite satisfactory, because until now I didn't have any copies of neutral cards, and I managed to get enough to get them to level 2. However, although we managed to get all these common cards to level 2, most of them only increased by 1 point of health, defense, or speed. Only two cards received truly significant upgrades.
La primera de ellas es Surgeblade una carta melé que puede atacar la primera posición desde cualquier parte de la alineación y ahora en nivel 2 hace 3 de daño, muy conveniente porque además de tener una buena velocidad, tiene un punto de defensa por lo que puede ubicarse en las 3era o cuarta posición con la seguridad de poder resistir un ataque de unidades con oportunismo.
The first of these is Surgeblade, a melee card that can attack the first position from anywhere in the lineup and now at level 2 does 3 damage, very convenient because in addition to having good speed, it has one point of defense so it can be placed in the 3rd or 4th position with the assurance of being able to withstand an attack from opportunistic units.
La segunda carta es Husk of the Hunter, es interesante pero con esta ya son más de 5 cartas rango/mágicas con la habilidad sneak, esto en las ediciones anteriores era algo poco común, esto perfila que el meta en moderno se basará cada vez más en este tipo de unidades con sneak y oportunismo. Pero particularmente, con esta carta, logre llevarla a nivel 3 por que tenía varias copias de ella al abrir los cofres de recompensa al subir de liga. Destaca su habilidad Headwinds que reduce el daño de unidades rango, puede ser una ventaja decisiva sobre todo en batallas exclusivas de unidades rango.
The second card is Husk of the Hunter. It's interesting, but with this addition, there are now more than 5 ranged/magic cards with the sneak ability. This was uncommon in previous editions, suggesting that the modern meta will increasingly rely on these types of units with sneak and opportunistic abilities. Personally, I managed to get this card to level 3 because I had several copies of it from opening reward chests when I climbed the leagues. Its Headwinds ability, which reduces damage from ranged units, is particularly noteworthy and can be a decisive advantage, especially in battles exclusively against ranged units.
Bien amigos, con esto cierro mis principales actividades y logros de la última semana de noviembre, justo cuando estaba terminando esta publicación acaba de ser añadida la nueva actualización de cartas exclusivas para las parcelas virtuales. Esperaré toda esta semana para evaluar no solo el precio de estas cartas en el mercado, sino también el de los recursos producidos por las parcelas naturales, para posteriormente hacer una actualización más amplia. Alright folks, that wraps up my main activities and achievements for the last week of November. Just as I was finishing this post, the new update of exclusive cards for virtual plots was added. I'll wait all week to assess not only the market price of these cards but also the price of resources produced by natural plots, before posting a more comprehensive update. Uffffff, esa cerveza si que se ve muy buena y bieeeeen fría. Así es como se debe degustar querido Bulka.
Así que @morenow no forma parte de tomar una buena fresca como le decimos aquí, muy mal dejando al compañero abandonado comandante JAJAJA.
Antes si tomaba licores, pero luego fui tomando cada vez menos, y hoy ya ni quiero, pero lo acompaño con un buen café XD.
Esa taberna suele ser amena, más cuando Bulka entra en su estado Ebrio y activa sus habilidades especiales.
Grande @bulkathos que en todo este tiempo nos ha dado este espacio de diversión y camaradería.
Por cierto, ayer no los pude acompañar porque estaba en unas diligencias. Pero los recordé bonito.
