Hi! I hope all is well to you readers. I want to share some splinterlands experienced with you guys with a manual battling style. A bronze player here though, started with the foundation packs and accumulate cards based on that said format. From few accounts user down to two. Well one is botted while I am manually grinding this account. I can say that I am shifting my playing style to much more easy one. Not consuming most of my time grinding since Splinterlands got so many things that you can do right now. And I am going to focus to where I am comfortable with, manually, with my other account being automated, let that do its thing since it is allowed the account to be played like that.

If you are a start up player, which I am not and I am here from 2021, you might be still looking the game to where you are going to focus your game goal. If you are wandering why I am restarting my game thing again beside just focusing on my other old account or accounts? Probably because of the updates that I can't cope up with. I just want to restart again and feel the game again owning and minting rewards from the scratch. The other reason is, I am not an investor, so yeah I am just a poor player loving splinterlands.

You might consider this advice if you are starting and got a little capital to null. If ever you have your splinterlands account, start from frontier battling and share your ideas thru blog on peakD. You might be curated then earn tokens and used it on gameplay with your splinterlands journey. It might take a time but believed me, its worth it.

Flank Ability

If the unit with this ability is in the first position, then the unit in the second position gains the Reach ability.

This card ability is a good choice for picking your Tank or First card on the frontmost of your team. It will give you another melee damage opportunity that can help boost your overall offensive capability of your chosen team if they are not restricted by the rulesets. I chose to discuss this ability because the reason that most of my attacks on this accounts centered with this ability. I can say that it can reach my league standing up to silver 3 and on the edge of the next tier. Its a good standing if you will ask me because i am playing this account not renting anything. Although slow on gains, the fun is there. I will sight a battle sample using Flank ability.

Battle Sample

So here is one of my modern battle warfare in bronze league of splinterlands. Anyu Huntswoman posses the Flank ability so it was placed frontmost of my team. Mantaroth was on the second with its melee attack capability and was granted Reach ability because of the presence of Anyu Huntswoman on the very front. I chose dragon splinters summoned by Kavorn Skarn for this battle that paired with the death splinters. Continuing with my team, I added Fenmoor Gorgon, Vengeful Monk and Kelan Gains to add my offensive capabilities. Songale was place on the last position to help lessen the pressure of my opponents attack to other cards because it has taunt ability. And take note, it got 2 magical damage so it is also a good offensive boost to my team. Well, that is all my team composition battling with standard ruleset on 71 Mana capacity. Let's see where it goes.

Fighting the team of Death splinters. Round 1 was already being dominated by my opponent where its attacks already let my Songace out of the battle grounds.

Continuing to round 5, where my Mantaroth shows it tanking capability. Although Anyu Huntswoman fell early on the game, it already help a lot with its flank ability that let Mantaroth removed the front card of my opponent's team. And this result to my victory.

• Card abilities in splinterlands should be studied and paired properly with each other for gaining edge on your battles. Also you must be aware of your rulesets before sending your team so to not give your opponent a good claim of reward for just making some mistakes.
