Renter-Lands?? Can you RENT Land-workers for a Profit???

(Edited)

Good morning Splinterfriends!

It's ya boi CaptainDingus! I have a little time today to type up something about a topic that was mentioned last time - Can you rent cards to work on Land you own... and turn a profit?

Truthfully, I like to own the Land and the Cards... but... what if... you could rent the Cards... make a Profit... and roll that profit into... MORE LAND?!?!

untitled.gif

Today, I decided to take a "Gold Standard" Card and see how much profit it could generate on each Rarity Plot!

[Remember - my "Gold Standard" card was equivalent to a Max Level Chaos Legion Gold Foil Legendary - these give 10k PP and require 10k DEC Staked so a 1:1 Ratio of PP:StakedDEC]

For this experiment, in order to provide accurate data, I will standardize the test as such:

Worker: 10k PP
No Totem
No Title
Land Boost (Common 0%, Rare 10%, Epic 40%, Legendary 100%)
Worker Boost 10% (obviously you'd want to Rent the most efficient Workers!)
Worksite: Grain

"Profit Calc Equation: Gross Production per Hour * .9 (for 10% Tax) - Grain Consumed = Net Production/H.

NetP/H * 24 = Total Grain Produced per Day.

Total Grain Produced -> Swap = Dec/Day...

If DEC/Day > Rent Cost per Day = Profit!
If DEC/Day < Rent Cost per Day =/= Profit!"

Let's go find out if Renting Workers can be profitable and if so... how much should one be renting them for!

image.png

Common Grain: 0% Worksite Boost

Starting with a Common Bog (0% Boost) and using a Max Level Beta GF Vampire (10k PP) we can test our strategy!

image.png

Results:

10k PP Worker = 11k PP with the Worker Boost of 10% + Plot Boost of 0%!
Grain Produced Per Hour = 220 Grain/h
Grain Eaten Per Hour = 100 Grain/h

Equation:

220 Grain/h * .9 (Tax) = 198 Grain Per Hour - 100 (Eaten) = 98 Net Grain Per Hour! 98 * 24 = 2,352 Grain Produced Per Day!

2,352 Grain Swapped for DEC at Current Market Price = 22.24 DEC/Day Generated by Renting a "Gold Standard" Worker and using it to Farm Grain on a Common Plot!

image.png

Current Rental Cost of 10k PP Worker ~ 40 DEC/Day

Conclusion: 40 DEC Day Rental > 22.24 DEC/Day Produced...

Common Plot = NOT PROFITABLE

Yup... the Common Grain Plot falls a little short so we can rule this out - womp womp

image.png

Rare Grain: 10% Worksite Boost

Moving on to a Rare Lake (10% Worksite Boost) and using a Max Level Chaos Legion GF Possilibus the Wise (10k PP) we can test our strategy out on a Rare Grain Plot!

(Please note - for whatever silly reason, my Rare Bog wasn't showing production numbers no matter what I did... so I had to RENT a GFL Possilibus lmaooooo - I hope this pays off!)

image.png

Results:

10k PP Worker = 12,100 PP with the Worker Boost of 10% + Plot Rarity Boost of 10%!
Grain Produced Per Hour = 242 Grain/h
Grain Eaten Per Hour = 100 Grain/h

Equation:

242 Grain/h * .9 (Tax) = 217.8 Grain Per Hour - 100 (Eaten) = 117.8 Net Grain Per Hour! 117.8 * 24 = 2,827.2 Grain Produced Per Day!

2,827.2 Grain Swapped for DEC at Current Market Price = 26.734 DEC/Day Generated by Renting a "Gold Standard" Worker and using it to Farm Grain on a Rare Plot!

image.png

Current Rental Cost of 10k PP Worker ~ 40 DEC/Day

Conclusion: 40 DEC Day Rental > 26.734 DEC/Day Produced...

Rare Plot = NOT PROFITABLE

Dang... the Rare isn't profitable either... moving on to the Epic with it's 40% Boost!

image.png

Epic Grain: 40% Worksite Boost

Moving on to an Epic Lake (40% Worksite Boost) and using a Max Level Chaos Legion GF Possilibus the Wise (10k PP) we can test our strategy out on an Epic Grain Plot!

image.png

Results:

10k PP Worker = 15,400 PP with the Worker Boost of 10% + Plot Rarity Boost of 40%!
Grain Produced Per Hour = 308 Grain/h
Grain Eaten Per Hour = 100 Grain/h

Equation:

308 Grain/h * .9 (Tax) = 277.2 Grain Per Hour - 100 (Eaten) = 177.2 Net Grain Per Hour! 177.2 * 24 = 4,252.8 Grain Produced Per Day!

4,252.8 Grain Swapped for DEC at Current Market Price = 40.214 DEC/Day Generated by Renting a "Gold Standard" Worker and using it to Farm Grain on an Epic Plot!

image.png

Current Rental Cost of 10k PP Worker ~ 40 DEC/Day

Conclusion: 40 DEC Day Rental ~ 40.214 DEC/Day Produced...

Epic Plot = BREAK EVEN!!!

This means, if Grain goes up... or you can find workers UNDER 40 DEC/Day... EPIC PLOTS CAN BE PROFITABLE!!

Throw in a Title or Totem and BOOM!!

Now... onto the Legendary Grain Plot!!

image.png

Legendary Grain: 100% Worksite Boost

Moving on to a Legendary Lake (40% Worksite Boost) and using a Max Level Chaos Legion GF Possilibus the Wise (10k PP) we can test our strategy out on an Epic Grain Plot!

I had to use on of my Legendary Plots that was in use so I "Cleared it temporarily"... FOR SCIENCE!! (Don't worry, I didn't "save results" and put my workers in timeout lol)

image.png

Results:

10k PP Worker = 22,000 PP with the Worker Boost of 10% + Plot Rarity Boost of 100%!
Grain Produced Per Hour = 440 Grain/h
Grain Eaten Per Hour = 100 Grain/h

Equation:

440 Grain/h * .9 (Tax) = 396 Grain Per Hour - 100 (Eaten) = 296 Net Grain Per Hour! 296 * 24 = 7,104 Grain Produced Per Day!

7,104 Grain Swapped for DEC at Current Market Price = 67.174 DEC/Day Generated by Renting a "Gold Standard" Worker and using it to Farm Grain on a Legendary Plot!

image.png

Current Rental Cost of 10k PP Worker ~ 40 DEC/Day

Conclusion: 40 DEC Day Rental < 67.174 DEC/Day Produced...

Legendary Plot = 27.174 DEC per Day Profit!!

Oh helllllll yeah!! It looks like with a Basic Legendary Plot at Current prices (Rental ~ 40 Dec/Day) and Grain Market Prices... you can earn 27 DEC per Day per Gold Standard Worker!!!

So... if you're NOT working your Legendary Plots... you should DEFINITELY BE playing RENTERLANDS!!!!

image.png

Bonus Round: Legendary Plot w/ Common Title & Common Totem!

We found that a Basic Legendary turns a 27 DEC/Day Profit per worker... but what about a Legendary that has a Common Totem & Common Title???

image.png

Results:

10k PP Worker = 24,200 PP with the Worker Boost of 10% + Plot Rarity Boost of 100% + Title Boost 10% + Totem Boost 10%!
Grain Produced Per Hour = 484 Grain/h
Grain Eaten Per Hour = 100 Grain/h

Equation:

484 Grain/h * .9 (Tax) = 435.6 Grain Per Hour - 100 (Eaten) = 335.6 Net Grain Per Hour! 336.6 * 24 = 8054.4 Grain Produced Per Day!

8054.4 Grain Swapped for DEC at Current Market Price = 76.138 DEC/Day Generated by Renting a "Gold Standard" Worker and using it to Farm Grain on a Legendary Plot with a Common Title and Common Totem!

image.png

Current Rental Cost of 10k PP Worker ~ 40 DEC/Day

Conclusion: 40 DEC Day Rental < 76.138 DEC/Day Produced...

Legendary Plot w/ Common Title + Common Totem = 36.138 DEC per Day Profit!!

Yeah basically... so... in conclusion... if you have a Legendary Plot... you should RENT THE WORKERS (if you don't own them)...

If you have Legendary Plot + Titles/Totems... you've upgraded from a Grain Farm to a Strip Club income at that point lmaoooooooo

There you have it folks!! Renting Workers for Profit IS possible if you have the right lands!

I see what you did there 😆

I probably won't be renting any land workers since all my plots are epic or worse. Nice work on all the math and calculations, thanks for sharing this!

I'll run some other calcs to see if I can find a viable solution for the Common/Rare/Epic plots!

That would be cool to see. Although I imagine any viable solution for those would work much better on a legendary plot anyway.

Absolutely - but a valuable lesson I learned from a friend...

If I have a weedeater and can use it to do a yard in 1 hour to make $20...

But could mow a big ass field that takes 20 hours to make $200...

I should use the weedeater to mow these small yards and earn enough to buy a zero turn... which I can then use to mow that field in 1 hour...

If there is a way to rent small stuff and earn your way into scaling it... I'm going to do a little testing to see what's viable and write it up for the new players!

Brilliant example 😀

Yeah... but the cheapest Legendary plot is $500...

That is true - but this guide means players can focus on purchasing Land and renting workers...

$500 + $100 x 5

Or $500 + 40 DEC/d * 5

Plus - we just scratched the surface! Maybe there is a way to rent for a profit at lower entry level!
