Hello bloggers, how are you? this time I show you one more fanart from @splinterlands game. This time I wanted to recreate a magic character. I feel that I get along very well with these characters especially the ones that have scepters or that channel magic and express it through the palm of their hand, and I really enjoyed doing it. This time I made a fanart of ALRIC STORMBRINGER who is a very powerful storm channeler mage from the splinterlands realm. I tell you how it was to draw him a little bit about this character and the step by step.

Hola blogueros, ¿Cómo están? esta vez les muestro un fanart mas del juego de @splinterlands. Esta vez he querido recrear un personaje de magia. Siento que me llevo muy bien con estos personajes en especial los que tengan cetros o que canalicen magia y la expresen a través de la palma de su mano, y me ha gustado mucho hacerlo. Esta vez he hecho un fanart de ALRIC STORMBRINGER quien es un muy poderoso mago canalizador de tormentas del reino de splinterlands. Te cuento como fue dibujarlo un poco sobre este personaje y el paso a paso.

⚪ Process/ Proceso

To make the sketch, it was something fun and at the same time frustrating because I wanted to make him look not like a child but more like a cartoonish old man but without leaving that essence that I like to put in my drawings, that tender image that makes them look less evil than they are. Also when I made the first sketch I had hidden his left hand behind his back so that the magic of his hand would not be so visible, but it didn't look good so I changed it and I put him in a pose similar to the original.

Para hacer el boceto, fue algo divertido y a la vez frustrante porque quería lograr no que se viera como un niño si no mas bien como un anciano caricaturesco pero sin dejar esa esencia que me gusta colocarle a mis dibujos, esa imagen tierna que los hace ver menos malvados de lo que son. También al hacer el primer boceto le había escondido su mano izquierda en la espalda y que así la magia de su mano estuviese no tan a la vista, pero no se vio bien y lo cambie y le puse una pose parecida al original.

En la elección de color esta vez me deje llevar casi que por completo de la paleta del personaje original, solo le di un azul rey mas brillante a su capucha y para la túnica un azul celeste con algo de gris para no colocarlo tan pálido como el del original, este personaje carece mucho de detalles que lo representen así que fui cuidadoso en que los pocos que tiene resaltaran y estuviesen correctos. al igual que con la iluminaciones su cetro y su mano, también les di un tono bastante contrastado para que fuesen foco de atención.

I always like to read the history of the characters before making a card, it gives me inspiration even to know what elements apart from the image I could incorporate to the illustration, it's very short the description of this character but the truth is I couldn't stop making a fan art of him, he looks so powerful and at the same time so wise, when I see an old wizard I simply can't stop imagining him as an old man that could give you advice about whatever you ask him Xd, I had never dared to make an illustration of an old man in my style but I feel that this was the first step. I wish I could read a longer story of this powerful character.

Siempre me gusta leer la historia de los personajes antes de hacer una carta, me da inspiración incluso para saber que elementos a parte de la imagen podría incorporar a la ilustración, es muy corta la descripción de este personaje pero la verdad no podía dejar de hacer un fan art de el, se ve tan poderoso y a la vez tan sabio, cuando veo un mago anciano simplemente no puedo dejar de imaginarlo como un viejo que te podría dar consejos acerca de lo que sea que le preguntes Xd, nunca me había atrevido hacer una ilustración de un anciano en mi estilo pero siento que este fue el primer paso. Me gustaría poder leer una historia mas larga de este personaje tan poderoso.

To finish I like to place the name of the character on the back of the stage, and this time I incorporated a shadow of the letters although they are not very noticeable, the usual lighting and backlighting and the drawing was ready. What a fun character to make, I also invite you to read each of the stories of the characters when you have the opportunity, it is very funny because many times it has unusual things, like a minotaur living with dinosaurs, so far is the one that has surprised me the most XD.

Para finalizar me esta gustando colocar el nombre del personaje en la parte trasera del escenario, y esta ve incorporé una sombra de las letras aunque no se noten mucho, las iluminaciones y las contraluces de siempre y el dibujo estaba listo. Que divertido personaje de hacer, te invito también a que cuando tengas oportunidad leas cada una de las historias de los personajes, es muy divertido pues muchas veces tiene cosas insólitas, como que un minotauro convive con dinosaurios, hasta ahora es el que mas me ha sorprendido XD.
