Today I bring for a new week of the @splinterlands art contest a mushroom card. I tell you how it was to make it and the step by step as always.

HOLA BLOGUEROS, les saludo luego de unos días ausente, esto se esta volviendo mi nueva rutina, los últimos días han seguido fuertes en mi carrera pero igual quiero seguir tratando de sacar tiempo de mi día para hacer proyectos personales o quizás fanart como este que me encanta tanto hacer, es difícil lo se, pero igual haré mi mayor esfuerzo. también quiero decirles que como moderador de esta comunidad en los próximos días iniciaremos con un concurso el cual están invitados a participar, será muy divertido así que por allí los veré también. El día de hoy traigo para una nueva semana del concurso de arte de @splinterlands una carta de hongo. Te cuento como fue hacerla y el paso a paso como siempre.

Once again I wanted to make a character creation based on an existing card of the game, I consider it one of the best exercises of creativity that can exist, so this time I imagined the character MADCAP MAGUS reinvented in a magical female creature and retaining the appearance of magic mushroom of the original, the most difficult to join that idea, was to place the extremities similar to the original because they looked like sausages Xd, still look like sausages but it looks much better.

Una vez mas he querido hacer una creación de personaje basada en una carta existente del juego, lo considero una de los mejores ejercicios de creatividad que pueden existir, así que esta vez imaginé al personaje MADCAP MAGUS reinventado en una creatura femenina mágica y que conservara el aspecto de hongo mágico del original, lo mas difícil de unir esa idea, fue colocar las extremidades parecidas al original porque parecían salchichas Xd, aun parecen salchichas pero se ve mucho mejor.

For the color palette, I added mustard colors and as something characteristic of my style, grayish colors, my idea is that everything looks very neutral and balanced, as I always like to keep tones as much as possible, I like the idea that when someone looks at the new character looks very similar to the original, because I feel that if you change the original color palette more than 50%, the character loses its essence. In several occasions I have seen fanart that look amazing and I am not referring to the contest but to fanart of superheroes and other things, and I see that they lose their essence because they change the colors so much that it doesn't have much connection to the original, I would like to know what you think about that.

Para la paleta de color, agregue colores mostaza y como algo característico de mi estilo, colores grisáceos, mi idea es que todo se viera muy neutro y equilibrado, como siempre me gusta conservar tonos lo mas que se pueda, me gusta la idea de que cuando alguien mire al nuevo personaje se viera muy parecido al original, ya que siento que si se le cambia la paleta de color original mas del 50%, el personaje pierde su escencia. En varias ocasiones he visto fanart que quedan increíbles y no me refiero al concurso si no a fanart de superhéroes y otras cosas, y veo que pierden su escencia porque cambian tanto los colores que ya no tiene mucha conexión al original, me gustaría saber que piensan de eso.

To finish this fanart, I added the Rim Lights that I like to use so much (by the way thanks to be studying design I have learned that those lights I use are called Rim light) and a magic emerging from his hand, I always like to give that touch of central magic to the characters, mostly to those who have a scepter, the idea that they use their scepter to channel magic and in turn express it through their hands, I find fascinating, tell me what you thought of this fanart and which one you would like to see next.

Para finalizar este fanart, agregué los Rim Lights que tanto me gusta usar( por cierto gracias a estar estudiando diseño he aprendido que a esas luces que uso se les llama Rim light) y una magia emergente de su mano, siempre me gusta darle ese toque de magia central a los personajes, mayormente a los que tienen un cetro, la idea de que utilizan su cetro para canalizar magia y que a su vez la expresen a través de sus manos, me parece fascinante, cuéntame que te pareció este fanart y cual te gustaría ver próximamente.
