Today I come to show you my entry for this week's @splinterlands art contest , an entry I enjoyed from the sketch to the reflection light I did at the end :D. I love drawing sea creatures especially mermaids. Their shape, their fins and their magical expression are just some of the things I love about them. Today I drew Mermaid Healer wanting to give her the magic touch I feel she deserves, playing with marine colors and different textures that can be created when making marine scenes. I'll tell you how it was and the step by step as always.

Hola Blogger, espero estén bien como siempre XD. Hoy vengo a mostrarles mi entrada de esta semana del concurso de arte de @splinterlands , una entrada que he disfrutado desde el boceto hasta la luz de reflejo que hice al final :D. Me encanta dibujar creaturas marinas sobre todo sirenas. Su forma, sus aletas y su expresión mágica son solo algunas de las cosas que me encantan de ellas. Hoy he dibujado a Mermaid Healer queriendo darle el toque mágico que siento que merece, jugando con los colores marinos y diferentes texturas que se pueden crear a la hora de hacer escenas marinas. te cuento como fue y el paso a paso como siempre.

This week I came across this character that I made some time ago, one of the characters I've loved to draw the most. For the sketch I made a mermaid shape in a posture of power, showing her scepter as an object of intimidation, an expression of power on her face and the fist to give an extra touch to that feeling I wanted her body to express.

Esta semana me he topado con este personaje que hice hace un tiempo ya, uno de los personajes que mas me ha encantado dibujar. Para el boceto hice una forma de sirena en una postura de poder, mostrando su cetro como objeto de intimidación, una expresión de poder en su rostro y el puño para darle un toque extra a esa sensación que quería que expresara su cuerpo.

This time I wanted to go a little further and recreate a small marine scene, usually I don't like to make elaborate backgrounds because I feel that they take away the prominence of the drawing, I say this from my personal point of view. But I feel that this character would stand out a lot with her marine background and I couldn't help but imagine her with fish and jellyfish around her. So I drew a line around her and I drew jellyfish surrounding her, inspired by the way birds fly together when they travel.

Esta vez he querido ir un poco mas allá y recrear una pequeña escena marina, por lo general no me gusta mucho hacer fondos elaborados porque siento que le quitan protagonismo al dibujo, esto lo digo desde mi punto totalmente personal. Pero siento que este personaje resaltaría mucho con su fondo marino y no pude evitar imaginarla con peces y medusas a su al rededor. Así que trace una línea de recorrido en ella y dibuje medusas rodeándola inspirándome en el camino que toman las aves al volar juntas cuando viajan.

For the color palette it was a little difficult to decide whether to make the hair color a CELESTE or play a little and change that tone, of course I didn't want to take away the main essence of her hair so I wanted to give her a metallic navy blue, lately drawing the hair of my characters has been one of my favorite parts, because you discover new ways to move it and paint it as well.

Para la paleta de color fue un poco difícil decidir si hacer el color del cabello CELESTE o jugar un poco y cambiar ese tono, claro tampoco quería quitar la escencia principal de su cabello así que quise darle un azul marino metalizado, últimamente dibujar el cabello a mis personajes ha sido una de mis partes favoritas, porque se descubren nuevas formas de moverlo y pintarlo también .

This time I also wanted to play a little with the clothes (which I imagine is made of latex or something similar XD). and think that other tones could be used to recreate it leaving aside the typical gray and white with which white clothes or white objects are usually represented, I have learned that white objects always behave in their tone according to the tone of their surroundings, for example the mermaid clothes are in a bluish tone so I wanted to have small shades of a bluish gray. And that was all, I have loved doing this drawing and I hope in a few months to do it again and see this as a past, meanwhile I am happy with what I achieved here. tell me what you thought.

En esta ocasión también he querido jugar un poco con la ropa (que yo imagino es de latex o algo parecido XD). y pensar que otros tonos podría utilizar para recrearla dejando de lado el típico gris y blanco con el que se suele representar las ropa blanca o objetos blancos, he aprendido que los objetos blancos siempre se comportaran en su tono de acuerdo al tono de su alrededor, por ejemplo la ropa de sirena esta en un entrono azulado así que quise que tuviese pequeños tonos de un gris azulado. Y eso fue todo, me ha encantado hacer este dibujo y espero en algunos meses volver hacerla y ver esta como un pasado, mientras tantos estoy feliz con lo que logre aquí. cuéntame que te pareció.
