It has been a while since I posted an end-of-season report card, but this very well may have been my most successful season since the split of the modern and wild formats, so I felt compelled to post. Maybe this will get me into the routine of posting these with each season to compare my growth over time. Without further ado, check out these sterling finishes in the Champion League!

Well, would you look at that! For the first time in months, I was able to secure a Champion 1 rating in both the modern and wild formats! It was a little bittersweet that I was not able to hold onto a leaderboard position for the wild format, getting narrowly edged out of a Top 50 position on the last day.

I contemplated playing one more battle in wild to ride my win streak to try and move up some places, but ultimately I decided it would be more important for me to preserve my place in Champion 1 to maintain a spot in the Champion League after the end-of-season reset. Maybe this was a little foolhardy since a 20K DEC payday is a nice chunk of change to put riding on one battle without much of a financial consequence of dropping down a league if I lost.

On the other hand, I was thrilled to have finally made it back to Champion 1 in the modern format, as this achievement had been eluding me for quite a few months previously. I have to give a large bit of credit to the strong Rebellion deck I have been collecting over the first few months this set has been released. Having options to choose from has given me a competitive advantage while battling in the modern format!

For Season 39, I decided I was only going to play the premium events, Gold Foil tournaments at the Champion or Gold League levels. Due to my travel for my New Year's holiday during Season 39, I only had time for this one event, where I was able to 20x my 30 SPS entry fee with a strong 18th place finish in the GF Modern Gold event.

In the upcoming Season 40, you'll see I decided to be much more active in the high-league competitive events. Now I just need to make sure I don't forget to submit lineups for all the events I enter!

This season, I successfully leveled up my RF Skok to max Level 4, leaving me just two more legendaries to complete my full set of Soulbound Reward cards -- Earth's Hulk and Fire's Hero. Hopefully, by the end of Season 40, I will have a complete collection of Soulbound Reward cards (mixed over RF/GF versions). Sadly, no GFL in Season 39!

It is amazing to see just how big my seasonal SPS reward has grown in recent seasons. Over 5.5K SPS was earned in total for Season 39! Nealy half of that amount, 2.3K SPS, was earned just from the juicy SPS Ranked Play Battle Rewards by winning 231 battles throughout the season. Another 860 SPS were earned from 193 Daily Reward chests, while only 112 SPS were opened from the 104 Season Reward chests.

I hold 2 Licenses which account for some of my SPS and voucher drops, with another ~235K of staked SPS contributing to my total. I also have a single plot of land mining SPS and have limited assets in the HIVE:VOUCHER liquidity pool.

Finally, my guild @shield-of-glory played in its last Tier 4 brawls, as we will finally be making the jump to Tier 5 brawls during Season 40. I am excited for the added challenge of playing against some of the strongest accounts in the game and hopefully, expect my Brawl Rewards to 3x in Tier 5.

Amazingly, I earned about 500 SPS less in Season 39 compared to Season 38, although my ranked finishes were slightly higher this season. I also earned 306 total champ chests (daily + season) in Season 38 compared to 297 in Season 39. Interestingly, I had 231 ranked battle wins in Season 39 compared to only 219 ranked battle wins in Season 38, so I'm not exactly sure what accounted for the higher earnings in Season 38.
