# DuceCrypto's S129 - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 42 Report Card

While it is almost 2 full weeks after the last ranked rewards season ended, I wanted to make sure I documented this last season using the old ratings formula. The season did not end as successfully as I would have liked. Although my account hit a high rating to secure Champion 1 in Wild, I was unsuccessful in securing Champion 1 in Modern. I actually played up to a Modern rating of 4334 with 4 days left in the season, so I could have just switched the bot back on for Wild and secured the Champion 1 finish. But I just couldn't turn down the allure of playing more battles myself and failed to hold onto a 4300+ rating. Let's take a closer look at the details.

In Wild, I only played 109 battles as the Xbot was dominant playing up to an account-high rating of 4492 with a 64% win rate. In Modern, I played over 3x as many battles because I just love the thrill and skill of competition. I wasn't as successful as the bot though, but still managed to win over 57% of my battles. I sure miss those win streak bonuses in S130.

Since completing my Regular Foil set of soulbound reward cards, I'm only looking for Gold Foils from here on out, especially the summoners to be able to play in max Gold Foil events. The only legendary I'm in desperate need of in Gold Foil is a Level 3 Skok and I've yet to open even 1 BCX of this card.

Other loot chest rewards included nearly 4000 more potions which I've been using to help guildmates open more Rebellion packs. If this is something you are interested in, message me on Discord using this same handle!

I am always happy to receive more merits to level up my gladiator collection and I earned over 36000 merits good for 18 gladius cases. Notably, I was able to max out my very first gladiator, and surprise surprise, it was the very useful neutral legendary gladiator Tatiana Blayde!

The SPS haul continues to grow, and for some reason, I'm still not seeing any of my tournament results listed in the report card. In ranked play, I earned 3212 SPS from ranked battles and another 1716 SPS from focus and seasonal rewards. That's nearly 5000 SPS just from ranked play!

Brawl rewards in Tier 5 continue to stack up with over 400 SPS earned from each brawl cycle! Add in staking, land, and license rewards, and I earned just under 8000 SPS in S129. The exact 7964 SPS are currently worth 226 USD based on spot price on March 14, 2024.

It will be interesting to see how the new rating system affects my SPS earning for S130. I made the decision to play the entire season in Modern and did not active the XBot once the entire time. From what I can tell, the competition in Modern Champion has been much more fierce. And without the win streak bonus, I've basically been range-bound between a rating of 3700 and 3900. Only a day or two wait to see how my report card changes in the new ranked play environment.
