One of the first splinterlands creatures I made as a plasticine figure was a winged creature.

Since then I have made a lot of them, as diverse as colorful and scary. However, today I wanted to make another winged creature, similar to the one I made so long ago. This is the Pallus creature.

Below you can see a picture of the creature and below I will leave pictures of the figure I made.

Una de las primeras criaturas de splinterlands que hice como figura de plastilina fue una criatura alada.

Desde entonces he hecho un montón, tan diversas como coloridas y aterradoras. Sin embargo, hoy quise hacer otra criatura alada, similar a esa que hice hace ya tanto tiempo. Se trata de la criatura Pallus.

Step by step

This creature would definitely require a complete skeleton to keep the shape, as it had a dynamic form difficult to achieve without a skeleton.

You can see in the picture below all the shapes I made for the skeleton.

Paso a paso

Esta criatura sin dudas requeriría de un esqueleto completo para mantener la forma, pues tenía una forma dinámica difícil de lograr sin un esqueleto.

Pueden ver en la foto de abajo todas las formas que hice para el esqueleto.

I made it with wire and thread, I covered the thread with glue and that's how great it looked. Once the glue was dry I started to cover everything with plasticine, from the base of the skeleton to the legs.

I covered the base with brown plasticine and the legs with blue plasticine. Although in the reference image it looks like a darker color, I wanted to make it my style using a color that was more different from that dark tone and that would stand out a little more.

Lo hice con alambre e hilo, el hilo lo cubri con pegamento y así de genial quedó. Una vez seco el pegamento comencé a cubrir todo con plastilina, desde la base del esqueleto como las piernas

La base la cubrí con plastilina marrón y las piernas con plastilina azul. Aunque en la imagen de referencia parece un color mas oscuro, quise hacerla a mi estilo usando un color que fuese mas distinto a ese tono oscuro y qye resaltara un poco más.

The extremities of the creature I tried to make them as detailed as possible. Although the figure is small, I tried to apply myself in these extremities to give it a sense of movement with the shape of the limbs.

In the first one you can see how I made the lower legs, like a cat's furry paws; on the other hand, I made the upper extremities as if they were claws to tear pieces of skin and muscle from its enemies.

Las extremidades de la criatura traté de hacerlas con la mayor cantidad de detalles posibles. Aunque la figura es pequeña, traté de aplicarme en estas extremidades para poder darle una sensación de movimiento con la forma que tienen las extremidades.

Vean a continuación este par de fotos, en la primera pueden observar cómo hice las patas inferiores, como unas patas felpudas de un gato; por otra parte, las extremidades superiores las hice como si fuesen garras para arrancar trozos de piel y músculo a sus enemigos.

Next I started working on the bird's head that this creature was weaving, similar to that of an eagle, with a beak that would be able to cut through anything with one bite.

I first applied quite a bit of brown plasticine over the area and then continued to mold it into the desired shape. The beak was not easy to make, because of the size of the piece, but I managed to make it large enough to be threatening.

Seguidamente comencé a trabajar en la cabeza de ave que esta criatura tejía, similar a la de un águila, con un pico que sería capaz de cortar cualquier cosa de una mordida.

Primero apliqué bastante plastilina marrón sobre el área y luego continué moldeandola hasta lograr la forma deseada. El pico no fue fácil de hacer, por el tamaño de la pieza, pero logré hacerlo de gran tamaño, para que fuese amenazante.

You can see that I also made the wings with the same brown color, using my molding tools to create that texture that simulates plumage. The larger part of the wings, I made them with a clear plasticine, where I also used my molding tools to give it texture.

One of the last things I made was the tail of the beast, which would be an extension of plumage that goes from the neck area to the waist.

Pueden ver que también hice las alas con el mismo color marrón, usando mis herramientas de moldeado para crear esa textura que simula el plumaje. La parte mas grande de las alas, las hice con una plastilina clara, donde también usé mis herramientas de moldeado para darle textura.

Una de las ultimas cosas que hice fue la cola de la bestia, que seria una extensión de plumaje que va desde el área del cuello hacia la cintura.

In the blue area of the body I applied a series of brushstrokes with silver paint, to give it an interesting effect.

My idea was to make a threatening beast, much longer and almost malnourished, as if it had been starving for a long time. That's why it has such a threatening pose, as if it had finally found a prey to feed on...

En el área azul del cuerpo apliqué una serie de pinceladas con pintura plateada, para darle un efecto interesante.

Mi idea era hacer una bestia amenazante y mucho mas larga y casi desnutrida, como si hubiese pasado hambre durante mucho tiempo. De ahí que tenga esa pose tan amenazante, como si hubiese por fin encontrado a una presa con la cual alimentarse...
