This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.

52-Week HBD Savings Challenge

A 52-week challenge following the popular model starts slowly and becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing week. The challenge is not at the beginning but at the end. That's why, we can use the easy start to prepare for the tougher weeks ahead.

In my case, I started with 1 HBD in week 1. This is also the step with which the amount that needs to be saved increases every week. The rule is, in my case: I need to add to savings the amount of HBD per week equal to the week number in the challenge. That means, in week 52 I'll need to save 52 HBD.

We are in the 6th week of the 52-week HBD challenge. That means I added 6 HBD to the savings for this particular goal, and reached 21 HBD, without counting the accrued interest.

Here's how things look right now:

Another week when I managed to keep this challenge going without using any HBD reserves. In fact, I added another 1 HBD to my reserves for later.

Posting & Commenting Goal

I haven't missed a daily post this year yet. Reached 1690 posts published, with 315 left to hit the target in 2024. That puts the progress at 10% where 9.62% was needed to be in the green.

Here's the situation so far:

I haven't missed any edition of Week through Adrian's Lenses in 2024 either, and I mention this since it's also part of my posting goal. Overall, I reached the 56th edition of the weekly roundup started at the beginning of 2023.

I started the week with 17,413 comments made. Ended the week with 17512, which means I made 99 comments last week, a little above the weekly average needed to reach the comments target by the end of the year. First week when I was able to beat the needed average this year, which is fine. Let's keep this up!

I currently need an average of 96 comments weekly to reach the comments target by the end of the year.

Land Plots Unlocked

Another significant progress in unlocking land plots this week, using freed-up DEC to help. I expect the progress will start to slow down because it's becoming difficult to find suitable replacement cards with a lower energy requirement than 10k.

Started the week with 35 plots unlocked and productive and 9 under construction. I currently have 42 productive plots and 6 under construction, again, 4 more than last week.

Compared to the beginning of the year, in a little over a month, I unlocked and turned productive 11 plots, with 6 still under construction. They don't have the best production, but given that only natural rare and common plots were left, this wasn't my main focus. On average, that means 1 plot became productive every 3.27 days, or, if we consider the ones under construction, I started the unlocking process for a plot every 2.11 days.

By the way, this week I started the unlocking process of the last rare plots I had. From now on it's only natural common ones.

For the accounting part of this goal, I'll add plots under construction as unlocked, to better see changes from week to week, even though, technically, they are not productive until the clearing part is finished and you feed the workers.

Here's the current situation:

And a more detailed view:

Productive Plots: 42
Under Construction: 6

A few worksites will be completed this week, which will increase the number of productive plots.

ZING Multiplier

I started the week with 16,617 ZING (I no longer have any ZING diesel pool position on this account).

My ZING holdings are now at 17,896, which continues a solid growth toward my short-term goal of 25k.

This week we had the slashing of the diesel pool rewards by roughly 25% to accommodate 2 other LPs on other chains, and the ending of the POSH claim drops. Given this situation, the APR for the diesel pool has been searching for a new equilibrium this week.

Here's the current situation:

LEO Staked

I didn't forget to round up my stake this week, so I now have 22,900 LEO staked with a small roughly 15 LEO powered up. I decided to put the remaining LEO in the SWAP.HIVE-LEO diesel pool for now, and if I don't have enough LEO on LPUD, I'll remove whatever I need from the diesel pool.

Here's the current situation:

My $Zing goal for now is 10k but I’m sure I’d increase it with time
I wish you well in your goals

10k is a good goal. 25k is probably not my final goal either. But we will see if maybe I'll replace it with something else still about Holozing.

It may be harder at first, but it becomes a habit and easier the longer you do it.

Very systematic approach and you are sincerely executing. Wish to prepare my own like this and follow it.

I think "systematic" is a good word for what's required for some of these goals. Be inspired, if you want to set up your own goals!

How are you affected by the Zing pool changes? Does this affect your pace?

No, it doesn't. I no longer have a ZING position in the diesel pool on this account, where I have a specific ZING target, and I can't afford it to fluctuate due to IL. It affects a little bit the profitability of the account where I do have a ZING position, but a drop in APR was expected with or without the slated reduction of the rewards. And it's not like 106% is a low APR, lol. In dollars, however, both ZING and HIVE haven't done great lately, so the position went a bit down. I do keep an eye on this indicator too.

That good. Yeah, 106 APR is still very good. I don't know why Hive is stuck in 0.30, but I expect ZING to go up once the packs and gameplay come out. I have been converting my HBD to Hive lately, so I'm not too mad about the low value.

(Edited)

I love the low price of HIVE, lol. Even if it's not one of my official Hive goals, I currently use 2/3 of my HBD from author rewards to buy HIVE. 😀

Same, I learned my lesson and have been buying more Hive as well.

Great progress.

That sounds like a decent idea to put your LEO to work. I haven't done that but I might consider it. Then again, if LEO pumps up, then you would get more Hive and that would be fine too

I wouldn't mind that. Here's a scenario where I want both and any one of them I get more of, I'm ok with.

Success can only come from one reason and that is hard work. You too have worked hard to reach here. I have also been following you for a long time.
