Splinterlands Art Contest Week 260-PRINCESS JEMER
Saludos y feliz inicio de semana, siempre me ha gustado ver imágenes de las mujeres japonesas porque pienso que ellas son mujeres llenas de misterios, además que los atuendos que usan son lindos y típicos de su cultura; así que cuando vi a PRINCESA JEMER, inmediatamente se me vino a la mente una de tantas imágenes que podido observar tanto en películas como en fotografías, por lo que me atreví a ilustrar a esta princesa dándole un giro totalmente diferente a como se muestra en la carta; sin embargo, deje ver su esencia que es lo místico de la magia del fuego, que es el poder que ella representa.
Greetings and happy beginning of the week, I have always liked to see images of Japanese women because I think they are women full of mysteries, plus the outfits they wear are beautiful and typical of their culture; so when I saw PRINCESS JEMER, immediately came to my mind one of many images that I could see both in movies and photographs, so I dared to illustrate this princess giving it a totally different twist to how it is shown in the letter; however, let see its essence that is the mystical magic of fire, which is the power that she represents.
Pasos Ilustrativos/Illustrative Steps
Para mi boceto, lo primero fue trazar el rostro con una larga melena como la de las guerreras asiáticas, al principio pensé en dejarla larga, pero luego de trabajar en el vestuario y todos sus detalles recordé que la mayoría usa un pequeño recogido del cabello casi al final de este. El personaje de la carta lleva como vestuario una pequeña blusa con falda larga, dejando ver parte del cuerpo de la chica, en mi versión; trabaje un vestido tipo kimono, el cual lleva muchos detalles que lo hacen lucir elegante pero a la vez la vez sencillo.
For my sketch, the first thing was to trace the face with a long hair like the Asian warriors, at first I thought of leaving it long, but after working on the costume and all its details I remembered that most of them use a small hair tie almost at the end of it. The character of the letter wears a small blouse with a long skirt, showing part of the girl's body, in my version; I worked a kimono type dress, which has many details that make it look elegant but at the same time simple.
Proseguí a colorear mi imagen, combinando diferentes tonos de azul y aunque la melena me encantaba en color negro, elegí un tono menos oscuro para que al colocarle los filtros me muestre el movimiento de ondas que esta posee.
I went on to color my image, combining different shades of blue and although I loved the mane in black, I chose a less dark shade so that when I put the filters on it, it would show me the movement of waves that it has.
Seguidamente, amplíe la imagen con la lupa para poder aplicarle los diferentes filtros que harán de mi dibujo una pieza más auténtica.
Next, enlarge the image with the magnifying glass to be able to apply the different filters that will make my drawing more authentic.
En estos dos pasos lo que hice fue duplicar dos veces la imagen que luego llene de color amarillo y al aplicarle el filtro elegido, quedo resplandeciente como el sol para que así tenga un efecto de magia de fuego. También le añadí los broches en la parte del superior del vestido, los aretes y por supuesto magia en sus manos.
In these two steps what I did was to duplicate the image twice and then fill it with yellow color and when I applied the chosen filter, it was shining like the sun so it would have a fire magic effect. I also added the brooches on the top of the dress, the earrings and of course the magic on her hands.
Por último, coloque un fondo moteado de color muy claro para evitar que opaque mi diseño.
Finally, I placed a very light-colored mottled background to prevent it from overshadowing my design.
