This work made me remember my childhood, when in the afternoons I used to sit in front of the TV to enjoy ThunderCats, a classic of my times; thanks to those memories I managed to put together my ideas to illustrate what is now my version of MANTICORE, a character that shows more than a creature, it really shows the man that can become any other creature whether a scorpion, a lion, a dragon or any other animal you want to identify with to get his strength regardless of his appearance.

Este trabajo me hizo recordar lo que fue mi infancia, cuando por las tardes me sentaba frente al TV para disfrutar de los ThunderCats, un clásico de mis tiempos; gracias a esos recuerdos logre armar mis ideas para ilustrar lo que ahora es mi versión de MANTICORE, un personaje que muestra más que una criatura, realmente muestra al hombre que puede llegar a convertirse en cualquier otra criatura bien sea un escorpión, un león, un dragón o cualquier otro animal con el que se quiera identificar para sacar su fuerza sin importar su apariencia.

At first I thought to leave it as it appears on the card, but at the moment of inserting the background to the image, I couldn't avoid placing the underwear, which left me satisfied with its appearance.

En cuanto al boceto, lo primero fue trabajar con el rostro y todo lo que a él se refiere, quise trazar facciones muy expresivas, especialmente en los ojos y crear una melena muy similar a la del león, pero menos llamativa, luego complete con el cuerpo, realizando músculos muy bien marcados y voluminosos; seguidamente rellene de colores las diferentes zonas y para mejorar mi diseño lo que hice fue ampliar con la lupa para poder aplicar los diferentes efectos que agregan sombras o luz según sea el caso, pero también crean una apariencia más cercana a la realidad; posteriormente trabaje en las alas y la cola para incorporarlas a la ilustración. En un principio pensé dejarlo tal cual sale en la carta, pero al momento de insertar el fondo a la imagen, no pude evitar colocar u calzoncillo, lo cual me dejo satisfecha ante su apariencia.
