My entry for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 373 | Doctor Blight made with foami clay. (Tutorial) [ENG] [ESP]

Hello!! @diyhub family, lovers of art and handmade crafts. Today I will teach you how to make the famous Doctor Blight from the @splinterlands saga using moldable foami (foam clay). I hope you all like the creation, the entire community in general, and I'm super excited to share my experience with this flexible material. Join me! 🤗

Next I will show you step by step the realization of my work. To start with, I will mention all the materials used:

What is the play-to-earn game Splinterlands?

It is a blockchain-based collectible card game (Play-to-Earn/P2E) where players can earn cryptocurrency and token rewards while playing.

If you enjoy card games and cryptocurrencies, "Splinterlands" is a great way to earn while having fun. Personally, I enjoy it even more by creating custom artwork of the card characters.

¿Qué es el juego play2earn Splinterlands?

Es un juego de cartas coleccionables blockchain del tipo Play-to-Earn (P2E), donde los jugadores pueden ganar recompensas en criptomonedas y tokens mientras juegan.

Si te gustan los juegos de cartas y las criptomonedas, "Splinterlands" es una buena opción para ganar mientras te diviertes. Por mi parte lo disfruto más creando arte personalizado de los personajes de cartas.

To say the faculty at Pelcroft were uncooperative when first presented with Alastair's “evidence” would be an understatement. Shunned for his obsession with obscure folklore and laughed at for his insistence on a forgotten “hidden” continent, staff and friends alike mumbled pejoratives just out of earshot suggesting an unbalanced mind, drawing comparisons to the infirmed at Silverwood Asylum.

But the Yerivin Manuscript could not be ignored. Though indecipherable, the illuminated volume hinted at lands and flora somehow lost, suggesting a rich landscape ever so near but inaccessible to the uninitiated. As his critics grew more vocal he grew ever more determined, reclusive and choleric, buying the artifacts he could and stealing what he could not to fuel his obsessive research; obscure tablets in jade, strange figures carved in hardwoods unknown, and fragments of rotting velum in writing nearly identical the Yerivin volume. But still they would not believe.

The character of "Doctor Blight" reminds me in a way of the Grim Reaper, but actually the card is inspired by the Black Plague outfit. As I understand it, the outfit as such was known as the "Plague Doctor," but it's an attire that the vast majority recognizes instantly.

Decir que la facultad de Pelcroft fue poco cooperativa cuando se le presentó por primera vez la "evidencia" de Alastair sería quedarse corto. Rechazado por su obsesión con el folclore oscuro y ridiculizado por su insistencia en un continente "oculto" y olvidado, tanto el personal como sus amigos murmuraban peyorativos justo fuera de su alcance, sugiriendo que tenía la mente desequilibrada y estableciendo comparaciones con los enfermos del Manicomio de Silverwood.

Pero el Manuscrito Yerivin no podía ignorarse. Aunque indescifrable, el volumen iluminado insinuaba tierras y flora de algún modo perdidas, sugiriendo un paisaje rico y muy cercano, pero inaccesible para los no iniciados. Mientras sus críticos se volvían más vocales, él se volvía cada vez más determinado, recluido y colérico, comprando los artefactos que podía y robando lo que no podía adquirir para alimentar su investigación obsesiva: tablillas oscuras de jade, extrañas figuras talladas en maderas desconocidas y fragmentos de vitela podrida con una escritura casi idéntica a la del volumen Yerivin. Pero aun así, ellos no creerían.

El personaje de "Doctor Blight" me hace recordar de cierto modo a la muerte o a la parca, pero en realidad la carta esta inspirada en el traje de la peste negra, según tengo entendido el traje como tal era conocido como "Doctor de la peste", pero es un atuendo que la gran mayoría reconoce al instante.

In the initial phase, I start by taking a portion of clay in black color for the development of the body in the creature. Then, with his hands he molded them into a ball shape, giving them a curious finish.

En la fase inicial, comienzo tomando una porción de arcilla en color negro para el desarrollo del cuerpo en la criatura. Luego, con las manos moldeó en forma de bola, dándoles una terminación curiosa.

Next, I develop the moving parts of the doctor: his suit, the antique lamp, the cane and his arms, always giving my best.

Seguidamente, desarrollo las partes del movimiento en el doctor, su traje, la lámpara antigua, el bastón y sus brazos, siempre dando lo mejor de mi.

Finally, we apply the final touches to his face, mask, and hat, using yellow, violet, black, and white for the shine. This design is a bit more complex, as the parts to mold are smaller.

Creating this character in foam clay was so much fun, family, because playing with such vibrant colors was spectacular. It has a lovely appearance in the Kawaii style version.

Ya por último, realizamos los retoques finales en su cara, máscara y sombrero, utilizando los colores amarillo, violeta, negro y blanco para el brillo. Este diseño es un poco más complejo, pues son más pequeñas las partes a la hora de moldear.

Crear este personaje en foami clay fue muy divertido familia, porque su complicidad en cuanto a colores vivos era espectacular, presenta una bonita apariencia en cuanto a la versión Kawaii.

It should be noted that this design was sought in the Splinterlands community; but the realization are made by me, with dedication to look more beautiful in the home or bedroom, I will return with new ideas to share with you, see you soon and excellent week.
