En mi publicación de hoy, quiero mostrarles un dibujo inspirado en una de las cartas de Splinterlands, y con esto estoy participando en el
Concurso Semanal #267.

The card I chose for my drawing is called "Mischievous Mermaid" and I was inspired by the well-known epic poem "The Odyssey", where it is narrated how the hero Odysseus asked to be tied to the main mast of his ship, after blocking the ears of his companions with wax, so that only he could hear the song of the sirens and avoid being carried away by their melodious voices, which would have led everyone to certain death.

I made my drawing on a sheet of white letter-sized paper, 21.6 x 27.9 cm. I used a pencil and black color as materials. At first I thought about adding color, but when I saw the final result, I decided to leave it like that because I liked the way it looked. I only used the colored black pencil to darken the outlines of the drawings.

La carta que elegí para mí dibujo se llama "Mischievous Mermaid" y me sirvió de inspiración junto con el conocido poema épico "La Odisea", donde se narra cómo el héroe Odiseo pidio que lo ataran al mástil principal de su barco, después de tapar con cera los oídos de sus compañeros, y de esta manera ser solo el quien pudiera escuchar el canto de las sirenas y evitar así dejarse llevar por sus melodiosas voces, lo que habría llevado a todos a una muerte segura.

Realicé mi dibujo en una hoja de papel blanco tamaño carta, de 21.6 x 27.9 cm. Utilicé un lápiz y color negro como materiales. Al principio pensé en añadir color, pero cuando vi el resultado final, decidí dejarlo así porque me gustó cómo lucía. Solo utilicé el lápiz de color negro para oscurecer los contornos de los dibujos.

Mermaids are mythological sea creatures, very attractive, with a beautiful face, a woman's body, and a big fish tail. I wanted to put in their hands the most powerful weapon of all the oceans, the Trident. With this legendary weapon, she can dominate the waters and sea animals at will.

Las sirenas son seres marinos mitológicos, muy atrayentes, con hermoso rostro, cuerpo de mujer, y una gran cola de pez. Quise poner en sus manos el arma más poderosa de todos los océanos, el Tridente. Con esta legendaria arma, pueden dominar las aguas y los animales marinos a su antojo.

To finish my drawing, I depicted the arrival of a Greek ship on their territory. So, the mermaid is on the warpath and ready to take the poor souls of the unfortunate sailors with her to the depths of the ocean. Will she succeed?

Para finalizar mi dibujo, representé la llegada de un barco griego a su territorio. Por eso, la sirena está en pie de guerra y lista para llevarse consigo a las profundidades del océano a las pobres almas de los infortunados marineros. ¿Lo logrará?
