Splinterlands Art Contest │Stonesplitter Orc

Saludos, amigos de Hive y de la comunidad de Alien Art Hive. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo que realicé para el Splinterland Art Contest. Es la primera vez que publico en esta comunidad y la primera vez que participo en el concurso, espero poder hacerlo semanalmente para seguir diversificando mi contenido. Sinceramente, tenía tiempo queriendo participar; he visto muchos trabajos de los artistas que hacen vida en la comunidad y son realmente inspiradores.

Greetings, friends of Hive and the Alien Art Hive community. Today I want to share with you a drawing I made for the Splinterland Art Contest. It's the first time I post in this community and the first time I participate in the contest, I hope I can do it weekly to continue diversifying my content. Honestly, I had been wanting to participate for a long time; I have seen many works of the artists that make life in the community and are really inspiring.

El personaje que elegí es un Orco Rompepiedras, una criatura poderosa que puede romper cualquier piedra con su hacha. Primero hice el boceto a mano, en una hoja blanca y cuando lo terminé lo remarqué con bolígrafo, le tomé una foto y lo pasé a la computadora. Al momento de editar en Phothosop CS6, noté que la nariz estaba muy cerca de los ojos y lo arreglé. También eliminé la parte derecha del cuerpo, copié la izquierda, la giré horizontalmente y la coloqué en el lado derecho para que se viera más simétrico.

The character I chose is an Orc Stonesplitter, a powerful creature that can break any stone with his axe. First I made the sketch by hand, on a white sheet of paper, and when I finished it, I outlined it with a pen, took a picture of it and transferred it to the computer. When editing in Phothosop CS6, I noticed that the nose was too close to the eyes and fixed it. I also removed the right side of the body, copied the left side, rotated it horizontally and placed it on the right side to make it look more symmetrical.

Luego empecé a colorear la piel y todos los elementos del rostro. Definí las sombras y las luces, disminuyendo la opacidad del pincel para que se viera difuminado. Después trabajé sobre la ropa y las hombreras, primero color y por último sombras y luces. El rostro fue lo que más tiempo me llevó.

Then I started to color the skin and all the elements of the face. I defined the shadows and highlights, decreasing the opacity of the brush to make it look blurred. Then I worked on the clothes and shoulder pads, first color and finally shadows and highlights. The face took the most time.

After finishing, I felt that the drawing needed something and I thought of placing two orcs behind it. I liked the change, I chose two different shades of green and with the gradient tool I made the background. This was the result:

Tras terminar, sentí que al dibujo le hacía falta algo y se me ocurrió colocar dos orcos detrás de él. Me gustó el cambio, elegí dos tonalidades distintas de verde y con la herramienta degradado hice el fondo. Este es el resultado:
