Introduction

Hello, everyone. KonAqua-desu! This is this week's entry on Splinterland's Social Media Challenge, where, as the title suggests, share your experiences and insights in your Splinterlands experience. Enjoy!

This week, I've discovered a strong combo in the form of Cursed Windeku and Thaddeus Brood. They don't have the usual combo, neither complement each other but they counter almost all of the other lineups in Splinterlands. Cursed Windeku deals with Melee while Brood deals with Magic damage, the deadliest line ups in Splinterlands, Fire and Earth.

I did the Death Quest for 5 battles, I won 4 another win by surrender. Here's what happened.

Game 1 Win

These are the Abilities involved in this game:

This is my newly made lineup for low mana fights. It's very effective and I don't know why.

These are the Abilities involved in this game:

This is mid mana fight. I focused on using snipers due to what I've seen on other's guides that Twisted Jester is strong. I decided to try it out and he is indeed strong. I might consider buying him in the future.

Battles

  2. Twisted Jester (Snipe)

Vietnam08:
Summoner: Thaddeus Brood (-1 Health; -1 Magic to opponent)

  1. Cursed Windeku (Thorns)
  2. Chaos Agent
  3. Death Elemental (Snipe)

These are the Abilities involved in this game:

Since I cannot put both Undead Badger and Death Elemental due to mana restrictions, and I don't want to put either leaving an extra mana, I went with Twisted Jester and he did a good job.

Battles

Round 1

round_1.gif

  • Chaos Agent dies from Twisted Jester's snipe.

Round 2

  • Death Elemental dies from Twisted Jester's snipe.

I never knew Cursed Windeku was strong. He shines on low mana matches along with Undead Badger. Both has high speed and normally attacks first providing huge advantages. Thaddeus Brood boosts it further by providing -1 health to enemy. Lower mana matches normally have weaker monsters and thorns' 2 damage plus Brood's -1 health significantly executes most of them. Thaddeus Brood also shuts down possible Obsydian Earth builds by neutralizing the +1 magic damage that Obsydian normally provides.

I also like Cursed Windeku for low mana games. Nice line up. It is effective because the back line of the opponent isn't that strong at this mana level so your backline's snipe and sneak can easily target those places. !PIZZA

Thanks for the pizzas. Also, I think the reason why this is strong is because of speed. Since this Windeku and Undead Badger both have 3 speeds, most of the time, especially in low mana, they get to attack first. And with Thaddeus Brood providing -1 health to enemies, it's like en extra damage as well to the enemies from the start of the fight.

By the way, don't stare at the eyes.

Ah, yeah. I did not really consider the -1 health and the 3 speeds working for your lineup.👁👁

I just realized it now. Lol. As I've said initially, I didn't know why it works but it works. It's kind of like Fries in Sundae. Weird combination but it works.
