Battle Mage Secrets, Weekly Challenge, Healed Out!

Shhhh, the next secret is out, lot’s of blood loss in this one since all the healing supplies are gone! Yup, this secret is about going into battle without a medic, just trucking along hoping to make it through off of shields and grit alone!

This changes the match in Splinterlands, no healing or recuperating abilities allowed, so you look at mitigating damage however you can, check the abilities to make sure your guys can last!

The battle that we are examining for this one is a mid-level mana cap at 42 plus:

Fire & Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire ability
Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners

This ruleset limits somethings, specifically using ranged monsters might hurt, so it will be focused on magic and melee.

First up, the Summoner:

There were a couple of abilities I wanted in the death sphere, particularly a shatter and protect, the minus 1 to health would help as well.

The front line was the Baakjira

I know that Baakjira can’t do damage, but having the void and slow abilities means I should be going faster then them and not taking as much damage from magic, important things!

Number 2 Djinn Oshannus:

Many times, when I am running Water I use Oshannus up front because of the high health and the speed, which is great, but having Void, where it reduces magic attacks, along with Phase, which means that magic attacks can miss him, it creates a powerful tank. In this case, knowing magic is coming my way, a backup with void is important, phase works out well!

Next up:

A booster card here, knowing that return fire is there, this monster will die by round 3, just due to the return fire, but at the same time, if resurrect happens, double boost to the monsters around it, which is important.

I really do like Nerissa, 3 magic damage and high health, yeah, a solid card to bring to the table.

The next part of the strategy is up with the River Hellondale:

The resurrect is important on this one, if the marksrat dies, double martyr, if Baakjira dies, tanking for a little bit longer.

Lastly:

Magic damage is good, decent speed, but really, it is about the protect, extra shields is always nice!

Initial thoughts on this fight was to try to do more damage to them then them to me, hence the speed from Kelya, then having that extra little bit of armor can help me out for any melee attacks. Add in the void since I know magic will be coming my direction. Then using the marksrat to increase my attacks.

The speed and the void is what held me on this one, even though the marksrat did not do great, it missed a couple of times, the amount of magic damage that I was doing per round was solid, the resurrect hit at the right time to allow me to live, just a little bit longer to give me the win.

Things to keep in mind with the Healed Out ruleset:
• Life Leech is a good ability to increase your health
• High damage is good, void, shield, and void armor makes your team live longer
• Look for abilities that increase your shields and your health
• Speed is good to take them out first
