Battle Mage Secrets, Weekly Challenge, Super Sneak

image.png

This makes for a sneaky fight, kind of like when you are trying to take that last slice of pizza when no one is watching! However, along with the picture from Splinterlands this week, there is always someone watching you!

This changes things a bit, all melee monsters are going to be hitting the back line, except for the tank in the front, other than that it is a charge to smack everyone in the back!

The battle that we are examining for this one is a high-level mana cap at 50 plus:

Up Close & Personal: Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.
Super Sneak: All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.

Well, usually with Super Sneak I use melee monsters anyway, so that helps, but I don’t have as many support characters I can use this time, so no fun there, but it still creates an interesting fight!
Here is the quick link to the battle, from the Silver Wild league: (Link) however, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.

First up, the Summoner:

Knowing that it is melee only and super sneak, I know that I need to get some boost there, which is where Tarsa comes in, boost up the melee damage, along with health, can’t go wrong with that!

The front line was the Ferox Defender

Knowing that it is going to be a melee fight only, I wanted to boost up some of my shields, so in this case, start off with the one in the front with some extra boost there.

I really do like this card, just an awesome thing to have, double attack, both ranged and melee, which means that having the shatter ability attacking 4 times, yeah, can’t beat that!

Next up:

Another card that I like, the quickness, the damage, and the blast, what can go wrong in super sneak!

Knowing it is going melee on this one, not only can he do damage with the super sneak, but decrease the other guy’s melee attacks, that is a win!

This is a strong card, starting with 5 shields and 9 health, just a beast of an attack!

Lastly:

Two fold on this one, the shield ability means it will stick around a little while, which is good, then it can do some damage with their attack as well!

My initial thoughts on this one was to do as much damage as possible to that backline, hence the rats with blast along with the raider to take out shields quickly with the shatter ability. Defending with that extra shield is always a good thing!

The enemy went earth on this one with Mylor, a pain in the rear, literally! The thorns ability with only melee is an extremely good strategy, throw in some shield along with decreasing my attacks and extra defense, doesn’t look good for me.

The thorns hurt a lot on this one, I think one of the only reasons that I won was because of the shatter ability in knocking out those shields quickly, getting hit for 2 every time you attack is very painful! However, my guys came out on top which is the important thing!

Things to keep in mind with the Super Sneak ruleset:
• Look for double attacks, either 2 different kinds or the ability itself
• Protect your back line, Oppress is a good ability along with Shield
• Melee monsters get the biggest boost to hit that back line, use them
• Don’t be afraid to try something weird, sometimes it works out well!
