Battle Mage Secrets, Weekly Challenge, Wands Out

So it has been a couple of weeks since I have done one of these posts, vacations will do that to you!
This fight became a slug match, due to the ruleset and the mana involved, yeah, just a slugfest that lasted WAY longer than it should have! Well, let’s look at the ruleset to begin:

Only magic really does change the landscape of a fight, only being able to use a third of the monsters out there, yeah, that makes it rough, but if you can come up with creative ways to use them, you can win!

The battle that we are examining for this one is a low level mana cap at 20 plus:

NNoxious Fumes: All Monsters Start the battle Poisoned
Wands Out: Only Monsters with Magic attack may be used in battles.

This one has a timer with poison, but then only magic, it can be on the tricky side, just hoping to make it through!
Here is the quick link to the battle, from the Silver Wild league: (Link) however, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.

First up, the Summoner:

Knowing I couldn’t keep my people alive for long I wanted some speed, hopefully hit them before they hit me on this one, but I also wanted to use a gladiator for this fight, and so I need that ability.

The front line was the Quora Towershead

This is such an epic monster to have, 2 magic, 2 melee, three speed, but the self-heal and the bloodlust, yes please! The self heal is really what I was going for on this one, knowing that I will be taking 2 damage around, healing 4, should keep me in the game awhile.
By the way, if you want to know how to get Quora, you have to be apart of a guild and participate in Brawls to be able to open gladius packs, one of my favorite parts of the game!

The only other card I had:

I knew this wouldn’t be around long, but having life leach along with scattershot, I was hoping to take down some one, or get lucky, and keep this one fight for a two rounds.

My initial thoughts on this one is having Quora take a lot, hoping that bloodlust kicks in if they move to a lot of people, while having the madcap do a couple of hits and stay alive long enough for poison to eat away at them. Also, Quora again, being able to do magic and melee, to knock down the enemy faster.

The enemy went dragon life on this one, with Iziar, a great combo with kitty! Having the kitty heal and having void to reduce the magic attacks coming in, yeah, a very smart move for this one!

This became a slugfest, I missed they hit, but they could only do as much damage to me as I was healing between the damage and the poison, I just needed to hit every round to knock down the health by one, it was rough, but a good win!

Things to keep in mind with the Wands Out ruleset:
• Look for synergy in the abilities
• Keep monsters in the fight longer, void and phase
• Try some weird combinations at times, it might just work!
