Social Media Challenge, Brawl Report #37, The Light at the End of the Giveaway!

The shining light of summer still abounds, so lets give some away and share the positivity!

So let’s start flying away with the Pelacor Conjurer, maybe they will summoner some PIZZA! The last one fell short on the goal by a decent amount, so this one will take 100 upvotes for the Conjurer to bring up a Crystalsmith!

As I post this SPS is currently trending at $0.072, it has started to move quickly, which is nice! Speaking of buying things, there are 500,336 packs to go until the next airdrop, they are dropping fast for the next summoner!

Since I have been looking at cards a little bit more, the lore really pops, and this one, has gladiators within the brawl, so lets look at the one that worked well for me!

The Lore behind Marisol by Splinterlands:
The Order of the Silver Shield has bestowed the rank of Knight onto no more than a dozen females in the hundreds of years of their reign. While there is no rule written in the Silver Shield Codex demanding that females not be considered as Knights, very few female Khymians would be able to pass the tests of endurance and sheer physical strength required to achieve the rank. Women can be priests, scholars, assassins, warriors, even Paladins (who act as generals to the Silver Shield armies), but most Khymian women with military aspirations do not attempt Knight. Marisol Contuma is a notable exception to this unwritten rule.

All her Khymian life, Marisol has specifically excelled at any challenge she perceived as impossible, calling them unworkable trials. It was through this spirit of overcoming the impossible that she was able to travel to every Splinter before her 15th birthday, and that she was able to memorize every word of Ratio Militarus, the quintessential guide to Silver Shield combat tactics and techniques from the founding Paladins. When Marisol learned how few of her Khymian sisters from history had become Knights of the Silver Shield, she became determined to achieve the rank for herself. In a period of six years, she transformed her body from that of a trim and athletic Khymian woman to that of a mighty warrior fit to overpower Orcs and Ogres in single combat. As soon as she was granted knighthood, she was assigned by the masters to join the Moxian Gladiators in order to dispel worldwide rumors that women were not allowed to become Knights. Marisol can fight with any weapon known to the Splinterlands, and she can defend herself with any object within her grasp. Watching a Marisol battle in which she is allowed to ride one of her horses is an incredible treat to the Mount Mox audiences, who have come to adore the tenacious Khymian.

Back to the brawl, doing better this time, filled out 12 of the 16 frays! I am in the Bronze league with only Chaos Legion cards, with 9 battles to my name.

Battle #1 (Link)
We start at the home arena with @theacks and myself talking about some strategies, that seemed to have worked in the past, so I am keeping that going! No healing, divine shield, 16 mana, and only fire and death allowed. I decided to go death, for the cut in health and magic, I put in the disintegrator incase they went fire to cut back on the melee damage, then I have the witch of Warwick to hopefully build up with the life leech and bloodlust. They went death as well, unfortunately, they have the sneak attack that could do me in, which it did, I went the wrong way with this strategy.

Battle #2 (Link)
As I console myself with some nice Stuffed Crust pizza since I am still at home and we have great pizza here! I look forward to the 25 mana and Stampede that can trigger multiple times. I’m pretty sure they will go fire on this one since they cannot use obsidian, so I went earth, with my double double attack, from the front and the back! They went dragon when I was looking for fire, this might be good for me, they went with the double double as well, however, they had the extra armor that just tore through me!

Battle #3(Link)
This time it is in the enemy arena looking at poison, knockout, and 46 mana. I decided to go fire on this one, with Chimney as the tank so that I can use cleanse on him, plus the forgotten one later on down the line, but I also threw in the disintegrator to slow down the melee rush. The enemy is rocking the legendary light summoner, but I do have some higher hit point counts. However, the Forgotten one’s immunity really came into play to win this one!

Battle #4 (Link)
Staying in the enemy arena, it was a rough road that we had to travel through, they really need to fix these potholes! 29 mana with no healing, we just could not find the herbs! I decided to go water on this one, the extra armor along with double opportunity. They went water as well, but I had the advantage on this one, due to my summoner level being higher. Those level cards made a big difference, not to mention, my gladiator took off!

Battle #5 (Link)
Back in the home arena, I snuck over to Pizza 2 The Deep Dish breakroom and stole some awesome pizza! I almost go noticed by @blitzzzz! 21 mana and stampede again. I went light for the heal and that they can’t use magic as much. They went water on this one, with a lot of gold, including a gold gladiator! Yeah, did not go well for me.

Battle #6 (Link)
Running out the door quickly to the enemy arena, the alarm clock just did not go off! 16 mana, stampede, which seems to be the rule of choice along with only using common and rare monsters. I went fire on this one, hoping that the sneak attacks pay off. They went fire as well, so this will be interesting. A well placed missed caused me to win this one!

Battle #7 (Link)
This one is still at the home arena, I visited @chefbgob since he wasn’t feeling well, hoping for best wishes. I came up with 60 mana, super sneak, and divine shield. They went death, the thorns on the backend might be painful! Yeah for the bloodlust on Relanor, that is what took the match! Showing some action in the picture!

Battle #8 (Link)
The last one in the enemy arena, looking at no shield, death and light only, divine shield, and way too much mana, aka, 99. I went light for the attack speed, to slow them down a little bit. However, they went death on this one. Timing was just off for me on this one, couldn’t get it going.

Battle #9 (Link)
The homecoming match, hopefully it will be a pleasant thing! No magic, and only 19 mana. I went light again to hopefully get Marisol going well! They went light as well, using Hugo and some other killing items. However, Marisol with bloodlust took this one! Here is the first strike!

The brawl finishes in 19 in half hours from now, I am sitting on 3 and , not bad, but could be better, I had to get my teams in a little earlier due to travelling tomorrow and the next day. We are currently sitting in 6th place with a 22 and 16 record, but we are closer at least in count in the fights, which is good, rather than the 30 or 40, we are only looking at 10 to 20, an improvement!
I ended up 5 and 4, a decent showing, I don’t know how the guild ended up since I was out of town at a conference, but a decent amount of merits!

Due to those merits, another gladius pack! Not too bad of a pack, a GF Hugo, which I have one, so combining is always great!
