Battle Mage Secrets, Weekly Challenge, Little League

Have to love the little guy on this one, so cute! This time around is all about the little people, specifically those with 4 mana or lower in Splinterlands. This changes the fight a lot, you need to look for those people that are going to have strong pressure on this one that will do lot’s of damage, but stay in the fight as well.

This drastically changes the fight, as I mentioned, who provides the best boots for the price!

The battle that we are examining for this one is a mid-level mana cap at 44 plus:

Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles

This is a maxed out mana fight on this one, since it is Little League, you can only have 28 mana max, so it is a max mana fight! Taking out the legendary monsters makes it interesting, cuts down on the choices. Also, the other aspect, only Fire, Death, and Dragon were allowed.
Here is the quick link to the battle, from the Silver Wild league: (Link) however, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.

First up, the Summoner:

Looking for those big impacts, take away some magic damage along with taking away some of the health, means I can take them out faster, instead of my normal water that I would move in with.

The front line was the Riftwing

I do like this card a lot, and I use it a lot as well, here as the tank, no upfront attacks, but I am looking at flight to stay around a little longer, plus Scavenger, every time someone dies, it gains health, that should keep it around. Then I love the Backfire ability, if they miss him, they take damage, a good way to knock them down quickly.

This monk comes into his own when he gets the self-heal, such a strong ability, mixed with the 6 health, a great second tank.

Next up:

Another really good card, the life leach means that the Bonesmith will stay around for awhile, but combine that with the poison, yeah, good amount of damage going out!

A strong card here as well, the 2 magic damage is nice, but the stun, if it pops up, can wreck some other monsters.

The next part of the strategy is up with the Venari Spellsmith

This is an okay card, but knowing that abilities will be thrown out there, having the dispel ability, means that they will disappear to my team.

Lastly:

I really do like this reward card, not a lot of damage, but the protect ability means my guys should stick around for a little bit longer, which is important.

My initial thoughts on this one is to have the Riftwing soak in the damage, followed by the monk with the heal while the next three magic users in the line fire away, again, having them focus on the front line, hence the Ravenhood Warden in the back, so that everyone gets that extra boost to armor.

The enemy went dragon on this one, followed by death, that knocks down my speed and my ranged damage, plus increasing their speed along with the double strike of the Dhampir Infiltrator to my backline, that is going to hurt bad!

This was a close fight for me on this one, that double strike sneak, just was picking off a guy every round after the second, not good. I had some good procs on the poison that helped me win this one, but they also stunned my Monk, so he couldn’t even heal! A close fight but a good one!

Things to keep in mind with the Little League ruleset:
• Look for strong abilities
• Synergy is really good to mix on this one
• The longer you can keep your people in the fight, the better
• Try to maximize your Mana
