Where My Philippines Journey Started

(Edited)

8 years ago I officially moved to the Philippines. With limited funds I decided to move directly to a small barangay. Locals often use the term simple life and I thought I will give it a try. No cell phone signal and no internet was a challenge. After a few weeks my entrepreneurial spirit came alive. Follow my HIVE blog as I share my first money making venture from a village in the Philippines.

This picture shows me shaving outside because there is no running water in the house. There was also no sink or mirror. This was the easiest way to get the job done.

Here you can see the cooking area. Scrap wood or coconut charcoal are the main fire source. You can also see the small wooden boxes in the back are my father in laws fighting chickens.

This is what the stove looks like on the inside of the cooking area.

After 3 months of living in a village the challenges and sacrifices would lead me to the closest city where life is a bit more comfortable.

No running water was the hardest part. Waiting to fill 20 liter jugs and walking back and forth to the house.

When are these pictures taken?

Do you still live here?

No you said you moved to a city after 3 months..

This was when I first moved to the Philippines 2014. I am now living in Calbayog, I own a goat farm and a coconut farm in the brgy. I have managed to levelup my life every year I have been here. Things are going very well and I look forward to my future in the Philippines.

Yes, I can see you stared over a year ago in December 2021. It's best not to self vote, it'll get addressed if seen.
