Focus on Upcoming New Reward System: GLINT + 50% in Modern Format + The "Short Circuit" for Real Players Caused by Bots
Yesterday April 2 the new Reward System was introduced on Splinterlands.
The new Reward System has eliminated:
- daily focus
- daily and seasonal rewards in chests.
The new Reward System has introduced:
- GLINT (in-game non-transferable token).
- Reward Shop.
With the introduction of the new Reward System, the Battle section has changed.
The Rating Score visualization has been moved to the top center and the BATTLE button with the energy bar has been moved to the top right.
The old REWARD POINTS BOOST has been replaced by the GLINT BOOST which is in a box that shows:
- Boost: the Boost multiplier that depends on the amount of SPS staked.
- Earn/Win: the amount of GLINT tokens that can be earned if the next battle is won.
Clicking on Manage allows you to staking the liquid SPS tokens in the in-game wallet.
A REWARDS box has been added that shows:
- My GLINT: the amount of GLINT tokens held by the player.
- Season End Loot: the reward in GLINT tokens that the player will receive at the end of the season.
This value is determined by the maximum rating score between Modern Format and Wild Format.
By clicking on Shop you can access the new Reward Shop where you can use GLINT tokens to purchase various items.
The name of the new Reward Shop is GWEN'S GLINT SHOP.
You can access GWEN'S GLINT SHOP in two ways:
- starting from the Home Page of Splinterlands you can follow the SHOP -> REWARDS path.
- you can click on Shop in the REWARDS box within the BATTLE! section.
In the GWEN'S GLINT SHOP you can purchase:
- Draws
- Merits
- Energy
- Potions
- Limited Edition Titles
The Draws are reward items similar to the chests of the old reward system but contain only Reward cards.
There are five different types of Draws that have increasing GLINT costs.
Under each type of Draw is indicated two information:
Batch: initial value = 1
Remaining: initial value = 1.
Each time you purchase 10 Draws of the same type, the Batch value increases by 1 and the cost in GLINT of a single Draw increases by +50%
The Batch value is reset to 1 at the beginning of each season.
In the next image you can see what are the chances of finding a precise type of Soulboung Reward Card in each type of Draw.
The Initiate Draws are the cheapest Draws and differ from the other Draws mainly because they can contain one and only one card while in the other Draws you can find one or more copies of a card in each Draw.
Choosing which draws to purchase will depend on the upgrade goals related to the Soulbound cards that each player has.
For example, a player who has all Soulbound common cards at maximum level will most likely choose to purchase the more expensive Draws in which the probability of finding epic and legendary cards (the hardest to find) increases
In GWEN'S GLINT SHOP you can also purchase Merits in increments of 200 Merits with a 1:1 cost ratio, 200 Merits = 200 GLINT.
It is possible to purchase Energy, Legendary Potions and Alchemy Potions with the same purchasing methods found in the old Reward System with the difference that now you can also use GLINT to purchase these items.
In GWEN'S GLINT SHOP you can also purchase 3 limited edition titles.
Each player can purchase a maximum of 1 title of each title type.
Titles are the only purchasable items that can be transferred
The new feature of the new Ranked System that may have the greatest impact on the game dynamics is the 50% +bonus in Glint for those who play in the Modern Format.
So those who play in the Modern Format, with the same game results, earn more GLINT than those who play in the Wild Format.
The introduction of the +50% GLINT bonus in Modern Format may incentivize some players to switch from Wild Format to Modern Format and thus may produce an increase in the number of players in Modern Format.
With the new Reward System, it is no longer possible to earn SPS tokens by opening chests and the only way to earn SPS tokens is to win a game battle.
Therefore the average gain in SPS per battle won will increase because the part of the SPS Reward Pool allocated to the chests has been added to the SPS Reward Pool to be distributed to the game activity.
I have already noticed a difference in my battle wins but will only be able to make a comparison at the end of the current season.
Obviously it is still too early for me to evaluate the positive or negative effects of this new system but theoretically I like this change because in the new Rewards System I can choose what to buy with my GLINT tokens without relying on the randomness of a random prize between cards and potions found in chests.
The only fun the new Reward System takes away is the fun there was in the old system in hoping to find a good number of SPS in a chest but the increase in SPS rewards for battle victories should bring more game incentives and this would definitely be a positive effect.
I will end this post showing my first purchase in the new GWEN'S GLINT SHOP.
Yesterday thanks to my battle victories I earned a little over 1500 GLINT which I used to purchase 10 Initiate Draws.
In the following image you can see the 10 Soulbound Reward cards I found inside the 10 Initate Draws I opened.
As you can see in the following image, after my first purchase of 10 Initiate Draws, the cost of the next 10 initiate draws increased by +50%: 150 GLINT -> 225 GLINT
I really like to play on Splinterlands but only in the Modern Format where there are no bots because I like to play only against real players and not against bots.
Regarding Draws I will mainly target high level Draws because I would like to level up my Soulbound legendary cards.

Nuovo Sistema di Ricompense: Panoramica e il mio primo acquisto nel Reward Shop
Ieri 2 aprile è stato introdotto il nuovo Reward System su Splinterlands.
Il nuovo Reward System ha eliminato:
- daily focus
- daily and seasonal rewards in chests
Il nuovo Ranked System ha introdotto:
- GLINT (in-game token non trasferibile)
- Reward Shop
Con l'introduzione del nuovo Reward System è cambiata la sezione Battle.
La visualizzazione del punteggio di Rating è stato spostata in alto al centro e il pulsante BATTLE con la barra dell'energia è stato spostato in alto a destra.
Il REWARD POINTS BOOST è stato sostituito dal dal GLINT BOOST che si trova in un riquadro in cui è indicato:
- Boost: il moltiplicatore Boost che dipende dal quantitativo di SPS staked
- Earn/Win: il quantitativo di token GLINT guadagnabili se si vince la prossima battaglia.
Cliccando su Manage è possibile mettere in staking i token SPS liquidi presenti nell'in-game wallet
E' stata aggiunto un riquadro REWARDS in cui è indicato:
- My GLINT: il quantitativo di token GLINT in possesso del giocatore
- Season End Loot: la ricompensa in token GLINT che il giocatore riceverà alla fine della stagione.
Questo valore è determinato dal massimo punteggio di rating tra Modern Format e Wild Format.
Cliccando su Shop è possibile accedere al nuovo Reward Shop in cui è possibile utilizzare i token GLINT per acquistare diversi items.
Il nuovo Reward Shop si chiama GWEN’S GLINT SHOP
E' possibile accedere al GWEN’S GLINT SHOP in due modi:
- partendo dalla Home Page di Splinterlands puoi seguire il percorso SHOP -> REWARDS
- puoi cliccare su Shop nel riquadro REWARDS all'interno della sezione BATTLE!
Nel GWEN’S GLINT SHOP è possibile acquistare:
- Draws
- Merits
- Energy
- Pozioni
- Limited Edition Titles
I Draws sono elementi di ricompensa simili ai chests del vecchio reward systme ma contengono solo Reward cards.
Ci sono cinque tipologie diverse di Draws che hanno costi in GLINT crescenti.
Sotto ogni tipo di Draw sono indicate due informazioni:
Batch: valore iniziale = 1
Remaining: valore iniziale = 1
Ogni volta che acquisti 10 Draws dello stesso tipo il valore Batch aumenta di 1 unità e il costo in GLINT di un singolo Draw aumenta del +50%
Il valore Batch viene resettatto a 1 ad ogni inizio di stagione.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere quali sono le probabilità di trovare una precisa tipologia di Soulboung Reward Card in ogni tipologia di Draw.
Gli Initiate Draws sono i Draws più economici e si differenziano dagli altri Draws soprattutto perchè possono contenere una sola e singola carta mentre negli altri Draws è possibile trovare una o più copie di una carta in ogni Draw.
Scegliere quali draws acquistare dipenderà dagli obiettivi di upgrade relativi alle carte Soulbound che ogni giocatore ha.
Ad esempio un giocatore che ha tutte le carte comuni Soulbound al livello massimo sceglierà con molta probabilità di acquistare i Draws più costosi nei quali aumenta la probabilità di trovare carte epiche e leggendarie (le più difficili da trovare)
Nel GWEN’S GLINT SHOP è possibile acquistare anche Merits in tagli da 200 Merits con un rapporto di costo 1:1, 200 Merits = 200 GLINT.
E' possibile acquistare Energy, Legendary Potions e Alchemy Potions con le stesse modalità di acquisto presenti nel vecchio Reward System con la differenza che adesso è possibile utilizzare anche i GLINT per acquistare questi items.
Nel GWEN’S GLINT SHOP è possibile acquistare anche 3 titoli in edizione limitata.
Ogni giocatore può acquistare al massimo 1 titolo per ogni tipologia di titolo.
I titoli sono gli unici elementi acquistabili che possono essere trasferiti
La novità del nuovo Ranked System che potrebbe avere un impatto maggiore sulle dinamiche di gioco è il bonus del +50% in Glint per chi gioca nel Modern Format.
Quindi chi gioca nel Modern Format, a parità di risultati di gioco, guadagna più GLINT rispetto a chi gioca nel Wild Format.
L'introduzione del bonus +50% GLINT nel Modern Format potrebbe incentivare alcuni giocatori a passare dal Wild Format al Modern Format e quindi potrebbe produrre un aumento del numero dei giocatori nel Modern Format.
Con il nuovo Reward System non è più possibile guadagnare i token SPS aprendo i forzieri e l'unico modo per guadagnare i token SPS è vincere una battaglia di gioco.
Per questo motivo il guadagno medio in SPS per battaglia vinta aumenterà perchè la parte della SPS Reward Pool destinata ai forzieri è stata aggiunta alla SPS Reward Pool da distribuire all'attività di gioco.
Io ho già notato una differenza di guadagno nelle mie vittorie in battaglia ma potrò fare un confronto solo alla fine della stagione in corso.
Ovviamente è ancora presto per me per valutare gli effetti positivi o negativi di questo nuovo sistema ma in linea teorica mi piace questa modifica perchè nel nuovo Rewards System posso scegliere cosa acquistare con i miei token GLINT senza affidarmi alla casualità di un premio random tra carte e pozioni trovabile nei chests.
L'unico divertimento che toglie il nuovo Reward System è il divertimento che c'era nel vecchio sistema nello sperare di trovare un buon numero di SPS in un forziere ma l'aumento dei premi in SPS per le vittorie in battaglia dovrebbe portare più incentivi di gioco e questo sarebbe sicuramente un effetto positivo.
Concludo questo post mostrando il mio primo acquisto nel nuovo GWEN’S GLINT SHOP.
Ieri grazie alle mie vittorie in battaglia ho guadagnato poco più di 1500 GLINT che ho utilizzato per acquistare 10 Initiate Draws.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le 10 Soulbound Reward cards che ho trovato all'interno dei 10 Initate Draws che ho aperto.
Come puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente, dopo il mio primo acquisto di 10 Initiate Draw, il costo dei prossimi 10 initiate draws è aumentato del +50%: 150 GLINT -> 225 GLINT
A me piace molto giocare su Splinterlands ma solo nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots perchè mi piace giocare solo contro giocatori reali e non contro i bots.
Per quanto riguarda i Draws io punterò principalmente sui Draws di livello alto perchè mi piacerebbe aumentare il livello delle mie carte Soulbound leggendarie.

Wild Format is still as congested as ever and I think some modern players are planning to relocate to wild to get more easy win. I play about 15 battles, lost 12 and won like 3. It's fiesty as ever. How is the season going so far?
It started worse than the previous one, and I had 13 wins out of 32 battles.
Let's see how it goes in the next few days because the first few days of the season generally are when it is most difficult to win.
I will take a one-day break to let my energy fully recharge and see if my win rate increases.

It looks like a positive change so far. I am really keen to get one of the titles. It certainly seems better to play in modern now with the glint bonus too. SPS rewards are also higher.

Sono un po' triste per gli SPS: alcune volte, ma molto raramente, trovavo nei chest di fine focus decine si SPS, però, penso sia positivo per la quotazione di SPS, e per il fatto che con i Glint si possa comprare Energy e fare più partite se ne abbiamo voglia/bisogno.

Si anche a me mancherà quel pizzico di divertimento nel sperare di trovare un bel numero di SPS, e ancora ricordo quel giocatore su tweeter che aveva mostrato di aver trovato 100K SPS in un forziere...ma come te non sono mai stato particolarmente fortunato... Diciamo che se dovevamo continuare ad esssere sfortunati forse è meglio così :)
Vediamo come andrà questa modifica e ho letto su discord che dopo qualche giorno di raccolta dati ci potranno essere delle modifiche anche in base ai feedback dei giocatori

I feel that the number of rewards we get will be lower when compared to the lower leagues. It just seems the numbers will be tough for lower ranked players but we do get the choice to pick what we want. So there are advantages and disadvantages.

I have a question though.
What can a person now earn from playing Splinterlands? The draw cards are southbound and the potions and glint are non-transferrable.
So what do you earn from playing this game still? Just the SPS and IF you can grab one of those titles you could sell that.

Yes Battle rewards are only SPSs but SPSs have so many use cases and will have use cases in future games through airdrops as well.
Then there are the rewards in DEC for players in the top 50.
For GLINTs, I read that in the future there will be more things that can be bought.
Of course compared to the past there are fewer things that can be earned from battle victories but I don't feel that this is a problem.
The problems with Splinterlands are in my opinion:
Personally I don't see it as a problem to earn SPSs also because if you know a blockchain game that after 5 years is still alive and still has the value of game tokens like Splinterlands DECs write to me and I'll go play it right away ;)
My friend, the strength of Splinterlands is the gameplay and on Hive I don't see any competitor and in my opinion Splinterlands must aim to improve the gameplay experience and the fun of the players because it is not a new game that must aim to earn lots of tokens to attract new players but it must attract new players for the fun otherwise it won't last long ;)

What about my old cards? My Alpha and Beta cards in particular. Since Modern is the place where more rewards lie, does this who move not devalue them?
Ottimo post! Io devo ancora usare il nuovo rewards system, da questo post ho certamente compreso meglio in cosa consiste. Il vecchio sistema era intuibile anche semplicemente guardando la schermata, i riquadri “daily focus” e “season rewards” bastavano per far capire che c’erano delle ricompense in base a delle attività, il nuovo sistema mi sembra meno intuibile. Questa è solo la mia prima impressione
