Splinterlands | The LIVING BERM is a Defensive Tank with Range Power
Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another awesome Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying an energetic and vibrant day with your family and friends. Now, if you are actively playing this amazing web3 strategy game and continuously trying to strengthen your NFT card and other asset collection, I believe all of you have already jumped into the battle arena and are currently busy fighting in the ranked arena and trying to climb higher in trophy count before the season gets closer to its end. If we take a quick peek at the ongoing ranked season timer, there are still around 8 days and 1 hour left before the season meets its reset point. So there is still enough time left in our hands to grind more trophies, complete daily missions, and push for a better league tier for more and better rewards or even go for a leaderboard position if you have gained courage.
Now talking about my own progress in the foundation mode of the game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,920. My immediate target for this season is to reach the 4,200 trophy mark first and then try my luck for the leaderboard if things go smoothly from there.
On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of 33 entries. With around 4 days and 1 hour left before the raffle draw, I will try to increase this number to somewhere between 54 and 57 entries. Apart from that, today I also bought some Foundation Edition epic cards in order to complete my collection at last. I purchased 2 CC cards of Saltwater Mage and 3 CC cards of Lenore Nevermore. For all these 5 CC cards combined, I spent a total of 725.183 DEC and used the Monstermarket.io marketplace for the purchase. At last, my Foundation collection is finally complet nd I am very happy.
Living Berm
Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be discussing another powerful monster from the newest Escalation mini card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Living Berm. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us take a deep dive without any further ado.
The Living Berm is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the newest Escalation mini card set edition. This monster belongs to the Earth element and it comes from the Elemental bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, so you will require a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend 10 mana, which means this card is best suited for high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Ranged, and apart from its powerful ranged attack, this card also comes with a very strong defensive combination of armor and health along with decent speed. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of three abilities, all of which are quite useful in battles. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster already comes with strong stats that consist of 3 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 4 armor and 6 health. Apart from these solid stats, it also gains a unique ability called Decoy. This ability makes the monster very useful for protecting your vulnerable backline cards.
DECOY – Draws the attacks of enemy units with Snipe, Apex Strike, and Opportunity unless an ally Taunt unit is present. Does not affect enemy units at the first position.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its stats improve and it now carries 4 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 5 armor and 6 health. At this level, it also gains another useful ability called Thorns. This makes the monster especially dangerous against melee attackers.
THORNS – Returns 2 physical damage to the attacker when hit by a melee attack.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its stats improve again and it now holds 5 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 6 armor and 6 health. Even though it does not gain a new ability at this level, the improved attack, armor, and speed make it significantly stronger in battles.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 10, its stats improve further and it now possesses 5 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 6 armor and 7 health. At this level, it also gains another dangerous ability called Poison Burst. This ability ensures the enemy team still suffers even after this monster goes down.
POISON BURST – When defeated, 100% chance to apply Poison to attacker and 50% chance to apply Poison to units adjacent to attacker. Poisoned units lose 2 health at the beginning of each round.
Last but not least, I think this monster is a very powerful defensive ranged card for high mana limit battles. First of all, it comes with a huge health and armor combination along with strong ranged attack power and decent speed, which already makes it a solid frontline or midline choice. Another unique advantage is the Decoy ability, which works best when you do not have an active Taunt monster. It attracts Snipe, Opportunity, and Apex Strike attacks, helping protect your weaker units from targeted damage. On top of that, the Thorns ability makes this card a nightmare for melee attackers because it returns physical damage every time they hit this monster. And even when this card finally gets defeated, the Poison Burst ability can still punish the enemy team by applying Poison to the attacker and possibly nearby enemy units as well. Overall, I think the Living Berm is a heavily defensive monster with strong ranged firepower and some very annoying abilities that can create chaos for the enemy lineup. What do you think?

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
