[ENG/ESP] Splinterlands Art Contest Week 199- My version Dragon Whelp!

Greetings users of the #Blockchain community of #Splinterlands. In this opportunity I want to share with all of you my entry for the #199 art contest for this week, so I will show you the procedure I used to make this drawing. The character I chose for this contest is the Dragon Whelp which I found very charismatic because of its colours and some time ago I wanted to make my own version of the character.

En esta oportunidad quiero compartir con todos ustedes mi entrada para el concurso de arte #199 correspondiente a esta semana, por lo que les mostrare el procedimiento que utilice para realizar este dibujo. El personaje que elegí para este concurso es el Dragon Whelp el cual me pareció muy carismático por sus colores y hace un tiempo quería realizar mi propia versión del personaje.

Process | Procedimiento

  • Step #1:
    First I made the sketch of the character which I did as clean as possible and then I made the lineart of the character and at the same time I gave some details to the final line.
  • Paso #1:
    Primero realice el boceto del personaje el cual lo hice lo más limpio posible para pasar posteriormente a realizar el lineart del personaje a la vez que daba algunos detalles a la línea final.

  • Step #2:
    Finished the final line of the character the next thing was to give the base colours to the character which I used the same of the reference image.
  • Paso #2:
    Finalizada la línea final del personaje lo siguiente fue darle los colores base al personaje los cuales utilice los mismos de la imagen de referencia.

  • Step #3:
    Once the base colours were placed I proceeded to give the character the shadows and lights as well as some details to make it look a little different and stand out a little more.
  • Paso #3:
    Una vez colocados los colores base procedí a darle al personaje las sombras y luces así como también algunos detalles para que este se viera un poco diferente y destacara un poco más.

  • Step #4:
    Finished the character so as not to overload it too much I placed the character on a kind of platform with a solid blue colour to give the impression that the dragon was on it.
  • Paso #4:
    Terminado el personaje para no sobrecargarlo mucho lo que colocar al personaje en una especie de plataforma con un color azul solido que diera la impresión de que el dragón estaba sobre ella.

And so we finished today's drawing. I really liked the final result of the character and not to mention that I had a lot of fun in the process.
