Hello community, I hope you are all feeling great today. Due to lack of time I've been a bit absent in the communities these last days, today I finally want to share my participation to the @splinterlands art contest. This time I chose as a reference a female character from the game, Twisted Jester, a harlequin with quite flashy colours, who also hides a great evil in her eyes, so I wanted to make my own version of the character. I hope you like it!

Hola comunidad, espero que todos ustedes se encuentren excelente el día de hoy. Por falta de tiempo he estado un poco ausente dentro de las comunidades estos últimos días, hoy finalmente quiero compartir mi participación al concurso de arte de @splinterlands. En esta oportunidad elegí como referencia a un personaje femenino del juego, Twisted Jester, una arlequín con colores bastante llamativos, que además esconde un gran mal en su mirada, por lo que quise realizar mi propia versión del personaje ¡Espero les guste!

Bringing this character to life was a big challenge for me, I don't usually work on evil or dark characters so to speak. Although I usually look for several references, in this case I only used the original character. My main idea was clear, I wanted to make the character in a simple pose but that looked very characteristic in this kind of characters, being a Trickster I wanted him to give the feeling of being "friendly" or "funny" although inside the character is quite evil.

Having the idea defined, I started making the sketch of the character, I did it in a red colour so I wouldn't get confused when adding the elements that the character carries in its totality. As I mentioned before I worked on a funny pose so I placed the character standing on one leg and with his head looking to one side. Having the initial pose ready I started to add the elements like his characteristic clothes and the other elements of the character.

Llevar a cabo a este personaje fue un gran reto para mí, por lo general no suelo trabajar en personajes malvados u oscuros por así decirlo. Aunque suelo buscar varias referencias, en este caso solo utilice la del personaje original. Mi idea principal era clara, realizar al personaje en una pose sencilla pero que se viera bien característica en este tipo de personajes, al tratarse de un Arlequín quería que diera la sensación de ser "amigable" o "divertido" aunque por dentro el personaje es bastante malvado.

Teniendo la idea definida, comencé realizando el boceto del personaje, este lo realicé en un color rojo para de cierta manera no confundirme a la hora de ir agregando los elementos que lleva el personaje en su totalidad. Como mencione antes trabaje en una pose algo divertida por lo que coloque al personaje de pie a una sola pierna y con su cabeza viendo hacia un lado. Teniendo la pose inicial lista comencé a agregar los elementos como su característica ropa y los demás elementos del personaje.
